We had a great experience. Spent time watching the dolphins swim. Saw 2 bald eagles. They took us around the island to see the wild ponies. We loved Captain Spencer. He was very polite and knowledgeable. Most definitely recommend.

Our captain was excellent. He did a wonderful job showing us the scenery and found a large group of dolphins for us to observe. Wonderful night.

The best way to see the island! We have taken tours with them 2 years in a row now and will keep coming back to see them! They know everything you could possibly desire to know about the island and make sure you get to see the ponies, birds, and dolphins! You will not regret taking a tour with Saltwater Pony Tours!

Great trip on a very comfortable boat.Loved that it was only 6 people. The guide made sure we saw ponies, dolphins and eagles, gave us lots of information and answered all questions with facts and local lore. Watching the ponies and hearing stories about each one was a real delight.

We had our tour last night and Captain Brad did a fantastic job. We got up and close to the animals and information on the entire tour far exceeded our expectations!

Highlight of our trip! I called and no one answered. I didn't leave a message. About 10 minutes later, they called me!! I was shocked. I wanted to inquire about bringing my service dog and the gentleman I spoke with was so kind and respectful. So I booked online for a private tour. The price was great for a 2 hr private trip around the island!
It was a little unclear where to go once we got out of the car, but the captains were there to greet us. We had Captain Jon for our tour. He was amazing! So fun, and professional. The boat was clean and well maintained. I gave my dog the free command so she could walk about the boat. She of course, was curious about Jon and he was so loving towards her!
Our teens enjoyed the boat as well. Hardly picked up their phones unless it was to take a photo! Jon was great to all of us as we asked questions and joked and just had the BEST time.
We did see some ponies, bald eagle and a nest, a raccoon and a large pod of dolphins. The sunset time was absolutely gorgeous. The highlight of our trip for sure. We hope to be back.

Captain Henry was a delight. The boat was comfortable with available shade or sun seats. I felt safe and secure with the capabilities of our Captain. Captain Henry was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Chincoteague and definitely loves this island.
We saw a bald eagle flying by and lots of ponies. I highly recommend hearing/asking about how the ponies and horses live, procreate along with the power dynamics between stallions and their herds. It was only three in our group and we got to ask all the questions which he always has answers to. I'm in love with the term saltwater cowboys and have convinced myself I need sell everything and move to this island. (Bonus, he recommended Captain Zacks for the BEST blackened crab cakes and they did not disappoint!!!)
I definitely want to come again. We had a great time. Thanks so much for the experience Captain Henry. You deserve all of the good things in life.

Captain Henry was amazing. He had great stories and was a very skilled captain. We were one of only two tours that went out at 3 p.m. and saw ponies up close. That was because of he was able to deftly bring us into a narrow channel at low tide. There's a lot of choice for these tours, but he was great.

So glad we found this tour. It was awesome seeing the dolphins and ponies. The private group option was definitely beneficial as well. Captain Brad was so friendly and taught us a lot about the island. I highly recommend this tour for all ages. I must also note that the boat was so nice, clean and comfortable! Thank you for a great experience!

Captain Henry has an awesome boat,
We got Sooper viewing spots along the beach where we observed the ponies for about 30 minutes, as well as a nice tour. Henry's experience and navigating skills, as well as his understanding the behavior of the animals, made this the highlight of our visit to the island. Highly recommended! We also had a chance to go out toward the ocean to look for dolphins and the boat is very comfortable, clean, and well shaded. Would 100% recommend this, and we'd even do it again the next time we come back.

This was our second year in a row, and we had an incredible 2+ hour tour. It is not just luck (although there is some of that) when you get to see ponies up close for so long AND boat along a group of about 12 dolphins! It is also how hard the Captain works to bring the boat to places where the wildlife tend to be. Capt Snyder is knowledgeable, kind, patient, has a sense of humor, and works hard to share the beauty and nature of the island with his guests. We can't wait to come back!

Captain Henry and co-captain Charlie were incredible. Got to see the ponies closer than I ever have coming to Chincoteague for over 20 years. He also went way above and beyond to seek out dolphins we could see right next to the boat.
Very respectful and open to making it a custom, never to forget trip.
