We have always shopped at the Brandt on vacay..for 10 years and loving it for their unique offerings. However, this year we realized we were shorted 2 purchases by thè two checkout girls who were too busy talking to each other to pay attention. Not cheap purchases that miraculously didn't make it in our bag.
Management has been unresponsive to our concerns.
VERY DISAPPOINTING and un Chincoteague .
So..IF you go..check your bag and receipt.

Terrible experience from the second we walked through the door. A female employee was beyond rude at first glance. If she wasn’t giving the stink eye she was loudly criticizing my child as we walked through the store. This employee went so far beyond simply delivering bad customer service. She was disrespectful, coarse and down right hateful. For the sake of your children avoid this place.

I have stopped/visited this place since I was a kid and always have to stop to see all the newest, latest, greatest for island style and easy living with great service and prices for each season's most popular must haves.

I went here with the love of my life. She has been here before and wanted to show me around. We had such a great time. I'll be back for sure. Wide selection and the prices aren't too bad.

Beware of credit card fee! Bought a toy but only one left was floor display. Fine. As cashier rang up purchase we saw it was broken. No problem we asked to refund.
EXCEPT the fee to use credit cards at store was not refunded! Policy cashier said! Hadn’t even left the counter at store and cashier said could return for refund but could not refund the entire amount — they could not return credit card fee!
Been coming here since the place opened, have family here. If a business can’t afford to eat credit card fees they can’t afford to stay in business. Price of doing business. They already charge high prices as it is! ?

Most of their stuff is overpriced, even for tourist traps. The T-shirts are ill-fitting, and also cost too much for such poor fabric. Not a good place to shop, since there are friendlier places nearby.

This store looks very promising from the outside. They do have unique things but they are insanely expensive. The build a pony intrigued us enough to stop in. The whole process was incredibly disappointing. The staff fill it themselves (not letting the kids step on the pedal like at build a bear), let the kids drop the star in, then close it. No magic, not even any common courtesy. The staff member barely even spoke to us. Not missing anything to skip this place and spend money elsewhere.

Charges a 3% price increase if you use a credit card.
