Truly a blessed experience. On a rainy day with three ruthless kids and an unexpected emergency, David, Connor, and Cliff brought our car in without hesitation, no appointment or anything. They entertained the children, explained everything to my husband and I, and were VERY generous with the price. I know exactly who we will trust with our vehicle maintenance. Thank you.

Their website won't allow you to make appointments for state inspections and it states "first come first serve". Accept that, if you get up first thing and show up just after they open, they won't inspect your vehicle even though you are there first because they are already full for the day with people who "dropped their car of earlier." That's pretty much the same as making an appointment and is certainly not "first come first serve." Thats ok, I found somewhere else to get my truck inspected.

I had a problem here after getting my car serviced. The manager was unhelpful and argumentative.I will not be bringing any of my cars back to this company. This place is a lemon. Looks nice on the outside but leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

1st call Bill answered , maybe he shouldnt answer the phones because he was a donkey. Almost didnt call back but the other employees are awesome. Cliff took my 2nd call got me in, listened to my reenactment of my cars issue. quoted me a price. Exceptional customer service!!! Give him a raise!!! Steve the mechanic on duty came out spoke with me. Did the job quickly and his customer service skills were phenomenal!! Give him a raise!!! Don't let Bill answer the phones or be your 1st point of contact he might need an "adjustment " or some "act right" pills. I will refer people , I will just warn them about BILL

We had my wife’s car oil changed at VA Auto & tire as we have in the past. After the last oil change we noticed the car was leaking oil. She called them to try to get an appointment, informing them that she had her oil changed there previously and that it was now leaking oil. She was told that they were swamped due to the holiday and it would be at least a week before they could get her in.Not being able to wait a week with the oil leaking we took it to the dealership. The dealership informed us the housing that holds the oil filter had been damaged during the last oil change. After the car was fixed we reached out to Va Tire and Auto to inform them of what had happened and provided the report from the dealership. The manager was immediately confrontational, accusatory, and completely accepting zero responsibility. We were not asking them to cover the work that the dealership did, only the part at $245 that their mechanic had damaged. Their argument was that they would not cover it because we did not give them a chance to fix it. We did give them a chance they could or would not get the car in at a reasonable time frame.I will be taking this to court and will update this post after that.

5-star experience at VA Tire & Auto of Chesterfield recently. En route from DC to VA Beach, we experienced a tire failure requiring replacement. Knowing we were out of town, Connor and the team provided quick and helpful solutions to our problem (recommended local alloy wheel repair shop) and got us back on the road swiftly! Thank you Team Chesterfield!

Walked in, not a soul around. Mechanics on cell phones and only one car in bay. Manager/owner comes out and tries to mansplain to me about why it will take 4 days until I could get my Jeep inspected. “Listen to me” is what he said. I am a woman with a competitive post graduate degree and he spoke to me as if I were a silly housewife. Went down the street and got my inspection done by a curteous, respectful, and professional establishment.

Today I was in a huge predicament. On my way home from work, my tire sensor went off which was unusual because I recently filled my tires with air. When the sensor went off, I already passed all the free air pumps I knew of. The next closest facility I drove to, which was VA Tire & Auto. As I got out of my car, I saw what is photographed below, a huge piece of metal lodged into my back tire. I had no idea what to do and went inside for help. I was never a customer which means I was that new customer at 5:00 p.m. on a Monday night explaining to them this crazy story. They could’ve very well turned me away but instead, VA Tire & Auto helped me. They took my car back and looked at my tire. They weren’t able to patch it due to the extensive damage already but they were able to replace it immediately for me at a reasonable rate. They were empathetic and understanding in a situation that was extremely stressful and upsetting. I would not have been able to take my car to work had I kept going home. I highly recommend them and will be taking my vehicle to them in the future.

For the second year in a row silly me tried to come here for a state inspection. Last year, I showed up too late and was told I needed to be there first thing in the morning. So this year I go there first thing in the morning. I am told I will need to drop my car off for TWO days. For an inspection. They do not let you book an appointment for an inspection and dropping it off just puts you in the queue. If they are so backed up with inspections they should really change their practices and start only doing appointments for them. What sucks for them is I know at least one of my tires wouldn’t pass inspection so while an inspection may not provide them a lot of money they would have made more with replacing my tires (because at a minimum I would have replaced 2 if not all 4). But it’s insanity to me that anyone would be expected to be without their car for 2 days for a safety inspection.

I don't like that they will recommend unnecessary services when you take a car in for a State Inspection. A friend's car failed inspection there and the "recommended services" totaled over $1,500. I bought and swapped out the recommended parts (cost $122) but found the Brake Drums to be in very good condition with no wear and the Tie Rod Ends allowed no play at all in the wheel. I took the car back for re-inspection and showed them the good parts that I just replaced. They stated the tie rod ends had a torn boot and that's why it failed and that the rotors didn't fail inspection but they always recommend replacing the rotors when they replace worn break pads. When I questioned that logic he stated "I've been servicing vehicles for over 30 years and I always recommend replacing the rotors when the pads need replacing." Hmm. They still got me though: When the rod ends are replaced you have to re-align the wheels. Had to pay them $133 for that.
