Just moved from DC; After moving we realized our options for groceries were Walmart or Publix. I honestly have never been to either before. We started shopping at Walmart but I come back to Publix for the main reason is that it’s a grocery store and Walmart is a dept store.

Very good environment I is more practical than Walmart Walmart is a large store where 20 people wait in line so only one register is open

Small but always super well staffed and constantly restocking. Has to be a gold mine. Employees seem happy so they must treat them well.

Manager Steve at this location (Cosby Village Va) is top notch! Yesterday, we drove 1.5 hours to our nearest Publix as a family member requested a Publix themed birthday party (odd, I know. But she’s a Floridian and obsessed!). Once arriving, Steve went out of his way to make sure we had all the necessities and any Publix branded material he could provide for our party. He even went to his own office and gave us several of his personal bottles, drink coasters, footballs and more! Steve is an absolute asset to this company and I hope he is recognized as such. Thanks for making her birthday a special one, Steve!
