Ok, so if you have no where else to stay which may be the case if you are in Chester then stay at your own risk. I knew it was going left when I pulled up and seen the people hanging around the hotel. Then I proceeded to see everyone in the hotel run out because of the fire alarm. When that was over, I go inside to check in only to be told my room is not ready. Keep in mind it's like 6pm (3 hours after check-in). The lady had a very nonchalant "no big deal" attitude about it and said she would call when it's ready. I then sat in the lobby for two hours with no phone call so I decided to go back to the front desk. I then offered an accessible room that wasn't cleaned properly, bed unmade, floor dirty, and about 75 degrees temp with a floor mounted A/C which made it hot and muggy. I walked in and walked right out. Ended up booking at the Embassy about 20 min away in downtown Richmond. A little more costly but worth it.Rooms: I've been in an accessible room before but it's no reason for the bed to be on the floor. Like be for real.

Fantastic stay. I found myself needing to extend on the last day and the two ladies at the front desk were so charming and professional and made every attempt to keep me in the same room.Rooms are very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stay was nice but the black guy at the breakfast bar on the weekend of 5/4/2024 was rude. I asked him a question and he acted like he didn't even hear me. Then I asked again and he answered while walking away from me. I came down at 8 am to eat breakfast and it didn't stop until 10 am. He refused to make any more turkey sausage. Two hrs prior to breakfast ending!!!! He is lazy. I stay at many Marriotts and I've never seen a breakfast bar so low stocked and low options. So disappointed. Never dealt with rude behavior before.Food & drinks: Bar at hotel

The front desk lady was really rude. The pool was not even close to clear more like a green/brown. And the rooms are big yes but you can hear EVERYTHING, you can hear people taking foot steps shutting a door. It has kept me up all night!

Fantastic location right off the highway on our way from NC to Canada. The price was about $30 US more than the others in the area but WELL worth it!Contemporary rooms with a nice bed, great pillows and bedding, nice showers, super clean floors, bathroom, hallways and lobby. Very quiet and the blackout blinds were perfect for us to sleep in an extra hour!We read other reviews of nearby hotels claiming smells of weed, strange people lurking in the lobby, and dirty rooms. We experienced NONE of those at this hotel! It was fab!The TV actually has a guide which may sound irrelevant but we've stayed in 3 other hotels this trip that had lame Roku TV or no guide at all. After driving all day, we just wanted to watch a random show and not spend an hour seaching for a channel for the 45mins we had before falling asleep! This was a God-send!Located right behind the Cracker Barrel where we stopped for dinner, we had planned to drive another hour, but thankfully we stopped here. Perfect idea to stop for dinner and sleep on your trip. There's even a Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx on this exit!We missed breakfast the next morning, as it ends at 9am but the coffee was good and a kind gentleman offered us his muffins when he saw we missed it! So nice! We've definitely marked this hotel as a perfect stop over on our next trips down I 85!!

We were only there for one night and after 10+ hrs of driving, it was a most welcome experience. The rooms, very clean, well appointed. Bed firm enough and very comfortable.Breakfast was very good. The egg white tomato and kale fritatta is delicious. The shower pressure was poor, sadly.

This Marriott property has by far the friendliest and most helpful employees of any Marriott property we have stayed at, especially the front desk personnel. They have gone above and beyond on every visit we have made.

Please, please somehow let Ms. Bailey know that her personality and welcoming spirit were appreciated yesterday 3/4/2024. I came in after a long, stressful day, and her and her staff welcomed me as if I were staying at my aunts house in NC. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be sure to bring her lunch/dinner for sure. Really appreciate the hospitality and how courteous she was. I'll definitely be back as long as the service stays the same.

Hotel is 1 year old and lots of issues within the room. Parking lot really small so if not in by 6 you have to park at cracker barrel. Stayed 3 weeks and on the last night swim teams were there making tons of noise. When addressed at the front desk the old lady was so rude. No issues with the rest of the staff nor did I have any issues until the last night.

Had 4 rooms booked for a wedding. Everyone enjoyed their stay. They were very pleased with the staff and location. They said they would definitely book again!

I booked a stay here for me and my daughter because we would be traveling and needed a rest in between days on the road, however we had a death in the family and would no longer be able to make our trip, very disappointed that I called and tried to cancel the room and I understand the no refund but to not even issue a credit for future use was really mind blowing. I booked here because all the reviews were really good but now makes me wonder if they are true. So now I have to lose my money because I have funeral to attend. I even tried to switch the days of the room but was told no rooms were available to switch and it would be best to keep my room for that day, doesn't make much sense if you have so many people staying at the hotel why force someone to keep a room on a day they no longer need.

This poorly kept hotel has lazy and obnoxious staff members. The pool, which they promote heavily in their writeup, was not functional and it appeared that it is rarely functional. When we checked in and inquired about the pool, the front desk clerk pretended that the pool was being worked on and said she would notify us whether it would be available to us. We never heard from her. The bathroom door squeaked loudly enough to wake the dead, and the TV swivel-mount was dangerously positioned making the TV unavailable. There are several other hotels in the area and I strongly suggest that you choose one of those.
