I understand that the whole world is understaffed but why have app and phone options to get refills if they are never actually done. If u submit a refill it will just sit unless u call. And good luck calling because you will be put on hold multiple times, if not just put on hold when calling without even speaking and just left there definitely. I have driven all the way from my home to the store while waiting for someone to actually answer the phone. And when I got there they told me they didn't have enough employees for someone to answer the phone, yet they expect for me to call so they will fill my prescription!! They are is desperate need of new management!!

Some staffing issues, like most places these days, but helpful and good prices for prescriptions! Check Good RX!

Each time I come here it takes over 45 minutes to help 2 people check out. Absolutely changing pharmacist once my refills expire.

My family has been using kroger pharmacy 10+ years. They have a great retention rate so you always seem to be dealing with the same pharmacist and techs. They're wait times and fill times have gotten longer since the beginning of 2020, but that cannot really be blamed on them. The employees are just completely overwhelmed right now, But we have still chosen to stick with them Because all in all they have been amazing over the last 10 plus years

Prescription was called in the night before due to be ready at 1230pm next day. I showed up 130pm next day and they had not even started getting the prescription ready.THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME IT IS A CONSTANT PRACTICE.Tried to talk to the fill in pharmacist on duty and she could care less and just wanted to complain she was the only one there.Service is horrible.

Called to have a prescription transferred to this pharmacy at 730 PM. Not only was the pharmacy tech who answered the phone very nice, but the pharmacist readily agreed to get the prescription transferred tonight and have it filled although they were going to close at 9 PM. Above and beyond, thank you!

I usually get greeted with a smile and more, but this time the tech act as if she didn’t want to help me and was very, very short without a smile! I’ve been coming to this pharmacy going on 3 months and never felts disrespected!

I waited in line. When it was my turn someone jumped in front of me and the pharmacist allowed it. Even through she had someone assist me. I just didn't like the fact she allowed someone jump the line without explaining

Hopefully, we will have a happy resolution to abysmal service, pricing, and filling of prescription or this will remain 1 star, a review I've never left a pharmacy, commercial chain or independent alike, of over 10 pharmacies utilized. Kroger Pharmacy on Jefferson Davis Hwy in Chester, VA had a few faux pas. Let's begin: 1.) I called to review my new patient info and was told they had everything they needed already on the scripts submitted digitally care of my gastroenterologist. Usually, pharmacies want my full contact and identification info prior to filling scripts. Not here... 2.) I inquired about a family member picking up my prescriptions. The pharmacy tech stated as long as they know my name and birthdate, they can pick 'em up. I asked about the pharmacy club rate, applying and paying for it ahead of time. She stated she couldn't help us apply and start membership. We'd need to do that ourselves later. 3.) The Kroger Pharmacy Club can only be initiated online according to the pharmacy staff when my mother tried to start the club membership, to apply to the two prescriptions she was picking up. 3a.) Mom has difficulty reading and seeing. They could've helped her sign up in store. 3b.) Mom has difficulty utilizing technology sometimes, such as voice to text feature and signing into WIFI. As stated above, They could've helped her. 4.) I inquired about using GoodRx BIN and discount code when talking with the tech on the phone. She stated the staff would be able to help my mother with this. No Kroger Pharmacy Club membership with discount, No GoodRx discount applied to either prescription. 5.) This was for $60 in prescriptions, Kroger Pharmacy on Jefferson Davis Hwy, Chester, VA. I have 3 asthma medications I fill monthly valued over $600, and 3 prescriptions for pain and nausea, which are worth over $200/month. I utilize patient assistance programs, pharmaceutical manufacturer drug discount cards with BINs, and online discount Rx companies like GoodRx, Needymeds, and WellRx. Good pharmacy techs were the first to turn me onto PAPs, PBMs, and discount cards/BINs. The techs here couldn't even assist my mother in applying the codes she came with, or applying for their pharmacy club, let alone take initiative to help patients afford their medications. 6.) One of my prescriptions usually comes in 20mg tablets. This pharmacy chose to fill this rx with 10mg tablets. Even though 1000 count bottle of the 20mg is less than $20. It would appear: 6a) This Kroger Pharmacy chooses to arbitrarily give patients more pills to swallow. 6b) This Kroger Pharmacy has poor inventory management and did not even have 28 tablets of a very very common, very very inexpensive oral drug. Methinks we will go with one of a hundred other options between work and home, hospital and specialist, sister's and mom's house, versus this Kroger Pharmacy again. $60 would have bought 10-15 prescriptions for me typically. This is ridiculous customer/patient gouging, lazy filling/service, and I cannot imagine what other chronically ill, chronically medicated patients are enduring when a pharmacy doesn't have their patient as their focus. Geriatrics/Seniors beware of Kroger Pharmacy on Jefferson Davis Hwy in Chester, VA. Limited incomes, restricted budgets, and poverty level adults with no government assistance have you prescriptions transferred and do not believe when you're told they can't process/honor drug discount codes, cards, coupons, or BINs. Kroger is one of the corporate members listed as participating in drug discounts on the sites/apps commonly utilized by patients and medical professionals seeking to help their patients. Legally, they can't decline the discount codes presented from online sites/apps listing Kroger as an applicable pharmacy with a discount price for the medication they input into the search engine. Let's see what customer service or pharmacy management yields when we call next business day. W

This pharmacy is busy, yet they have always been friendly and helpful. When I lost my hair going through treatments and showed up there for a prescription, one of the techs wrote on my script bottle "You are beautiful", and it was such a moving gesture. I have kept the bottle and still see her when I go there, and still feel the same, special gratitude for that kindness.
