The whole experience from everyone at Colonial Hyundai was great. Everyone was polite, courteous, and professional. It was worth the two plus hour drive from Raleigh, NC to purchase the vehicle. Highly recommend. No games played. Everything was as is. No hidden costs.We just wish the detailing of the vehicle was a little better (esp. on the inside of windshield - we did not notice this until we were well on our way home) as some things were dirty. However, any request we had to re-clean ant part of the vehicle was addressed immediately. Would definitely do business again.

It was an ok experience. Erick was amazing and the best part of our whole car buying experience since May when we began looking. He gets a 5 star review through and through!The finance dept struggled with our paper work. The price of the vehicle was increases by 4k when we went to sign. This price was higher than the original listing price, which was extremely unsettling and huge error on their behalf. Thankfully when we went through the paperwork my husband caught it. Then we had to redo everything. After doing it a second time we had to redo it again because they didn’t know I needed to cosign with our trade in. The only saving grace is that the finance person came to us the 4th time because we were not compensated for the errors they had on their end. It is a hike from us (45 min drive). They also want your financing through Home Base Bank. This is fine; until you go to open the account and you have to put $26 cash in. This was not communicated and with that caused it to pay more fees because there was no info relayed and most banks do not require this when financing, at least in our experience. It was frustrating, but we did get a beautiful car and so far so good. Hopefully they will nail down a secure finance dept when they move into their new building because causing thousands of dollars in errors is a huge red flag when handling people’s money.

This review is for the service department.2019 Hyundai Kona EVWe live an hour from the dealership and it was the only one in the area certified to work on electric vehicles so we dropped it off on 08/21/23. A service light related to the electric control system and EV battery was on however the car drove and charged just fine. So we dropped it off and 3 days later it was diagnosed that it needed a new EV battery luckily the car was under warranty so I was told that with the warranty it would take 1 - 2 weeks to get the part in. A week later I received a call from Hyundai corporate saying that further diagnostic testing was required before any warranty would take place. I then called the dealership which had no knowledge of this and then had to stay on top of it calling everyday for 3 days. I kept getting the answer of “we will have a solid answer on what is wrong with your car by end of day” or “we need to start a software update, which will take hours but we didn’t start it till middle of the work day”. 2 weeks have gone by and my car is still in the diagnostic phase and no one can tell me if the software update is complete or really what is wrong. Aside from that, the car is my only vehicle! No assistance with reimbursement until there is a warranty claim approved and open and no loaner vehicles are available. I am terrified on how long this whole process will take and I am left with nothing! It’s very frustrating that no one updates me unless I call asking and usually it’s after leaving several voicemails or attempted to call several times. My car is 4 years old and the battery was already replaced from a recall in 2022!

I purchased my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe in 2017. Service was great back then. Not sure what is going on but the service department has really declined. My car was towed on June 29th. I got approved for new engine a few weeks ago finally! They claim there are not loaner cars available. I have stayed on top of this. Calling every day to get an update on when I may be able to get a car. Service manager will not return my call. Left several messages. Call service department and can't get through at times. Goes to VM then says mailbox is full. I have been more than patient. I have had no transportation since June 29th.

My 2022 Sonata Hybrid has a check engine light pop on and since it was my only car I called My dealership (CMA Colonial Hyundai). They set up a service appointment for me but it was a week away. I took a chance and drove directly to the dealership and asked Ms. C Jones in service dept. told her my story and she immediately had my car checked out. She was totally professional and full of information on what my problem might be. Y es it took a little time, but my car was returned to me in perfect running order and I was on my way. Her caring and the service tech attention to detail were top shelf. I can recommend this service department with out hesitation. Thank You!

Thank you so much to Eddie for all his help. He was great today getting my mom into a new Hyundai Sonata. He was very helpful answering all her questions and providing her with all the information she needed to pick the car that was a perfect fit for her. Stellar experience with a fantastic crew. I was so glad they were willing to do so much over email instead of making me come in or call constantly. In and out within an hour or so, very very quick.They didn’t use any high pressure sales tactics, just were very polite and nice about everything. I knew what I could afford, told them what I wanted and they made it work!Now my buddy wants an IONIQ 6 and is probably going back here pretty soon ?

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The car we were interested in was waiting for us to test drive as soon as we arrived. Our sales associate Bryan spent time explaining and demonstrating special features of the Santa Fe. Overall, the entire process went very smoothly.

I had a good experience when purchasing from CMA Colonial Hyundai! Eddie was able to work with me and helped me understand prices and what to expect before and AFTER the purchase. I did not have many questions to ask because he was able to educate me in advance.. any additional questions I had did not go unanswered ! Thanks Eddie :) The other staff was welcoming and friendly as well!

Went to test drive a vehicle and came home with a new car! Eddie was so easy to work with and was very helpful and knowledgable.We believe he went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. He went over all of the cars features and even helped us set up/change certain settings we knew we didn’t want enabled before we left the lot.We often despise going to dealerships due to being pressured but we did not feel that way working with Eddie. He has a great attitude and listens to his customers. He is very personable and we’d highly recommend requesting him as your salesman!
