Ordered some topsoil and it was absolutely terrible quality, which is hard to believe since it's just dirt. Their customer service was even worse. Don't say I didn't warn you to stay away.

Ordered 4 yards of topsoil and once wet it turned grey and hard, somewhere between clay and cement. Called Tidewater Mulch & Material multiple times, but they have no interest in talking with me.

Just received 6 yards of mushroom compost mix. The product is great. A nice mix for our raised beds. The service was great and Aaron was extremely helpful, prompt in answering my online questions and polite. They will be my go to if I need another load

Aaron with Tidewater was able to take a new construction pile of dirt and give me all the tools we needed to bring it to life! Stunning little gem magnolias and beautiful limelight hydrangeas! They were so helpful, great pricing, very reliable and hands on! Highly recommend for any and all landscaping jobs! Not to mention their driver Scott helped me move 20 8ft trees just out of kindness! Fantastic company!

I purchased a CTZE54 yesterday, the customer service could not have been better. I was truly taken by surprise, as they took care of all of my questions. Answered honestly and the one question that i had they did not know the answer to right off hand and he went outside with a tape measure, in the rain btw, and measured the deck to ensure it would in fact fit in my trailer. That is going above and beyond. the transaction was as smooth as silk, and on top of that they made me a great deal. I left extremely happy with my purchase. Thank you. so, anyone looking for any kind of equipment i would highly recommend Tidewater Mulch and Materials!

I recently dropped off three pieces of lawn equipment, two were ready within the week the last piece , an edger, they weren't able to find a part , but the work they did and other parts they replaced are stellar, I would definitely go there again

TMM recently became an authorized Rigid (orange) Service Center, but I learned their small engine repair shop (SERS) was unprepared to perform the work. I left my cleaned and blown-down table saw for an alignment of the blade to the table and fence. Dropped it off with a sanding disc on the arbor; was contacted and asked to bring a blade to the shop; was called again and asked for the tools to hold the arbor in place to replace the sanding disc with the earlier provided saw blade; and, was called to pick it up. The sanding disc was still on the arbor, the saw blade on the table, and the entire unit was covered in shop dirt (see image close up attached). Unfortunately, I am unsure how the blade could have been aligned to the table when it does not appear it was attached. Typically, the SERS does not open or close at their posted hours (online or posted in front of the shop) making for some extended sit-around-and-waiting times. I experienced a polite workforce and workplace wanting to help, but defaulted to laissez-faire service and delivery. TMM as a Rigid service provider is not ready to deliver quality service, but has endless capabilities to grow. Rigid has other service centers in the area, which I will seek out in the future.UPDATE: 19 Aug 22. See the overpriced invoice for the above-purported alignment work on the table saw.

DO NOT TAKE ANY REPAIR TO THIS COMPANY!!!Their service/repair department is the worst. They do not listen and refused to do the needed warranty repair that was advised by the manufacturer despite the fact that they are an authorized repair center. I took my pressure washer to them in the middle of May. They called me almost a month later to tell me it was repaired. I took it home, went to use it and discovered it was NOT repaired at all. I contacted the manufacturer, advised them of what had happened and they told me to take it back to Tidewater Mulch (much to my disappointment) and have them replace a specific part under warranty. When I called back three weeks later to check on the progress, I found that they neither replaced the part or even worked on it. I was told that the technician said it was working fine. I advised them again what needed to be replaced per the manufacturer and precisely how it needed to be tested and what to look for to make sure that it WAS repaired. I called them again a week later and got the same story. By this time I was over it. I picked up my tool, brought it home, tested it, and it still was NOT repaired. Now I have to take it to ANOTHER authorized repair center. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!! TAKE YOUR REPAIR ELSEWHERE. WARNING: HUGE LANGUAGE BARRIER!!!

Can't say enough good things about this company. Their desk help was polite, knowledgeable and very pleasant to speak with. The delivery driver called in advance, was on time and very polite. My over all experience was a good one. Good affordable product and service is hard to find these days but these guys got it right. Keep up the good work!

A special thanks to Taylor Sinks and the Tidewater Mulch and Materials crew. We had our entire home landscaped using their advice and materials. Plants included Hollys, Boxwoods, Liriope, Ilex Crenata and others -- all delivered on time and in good condition. The mulch and topsoil were excellent. Taylor's advice and suggestions served us well and reflected her significant knowledge of plants and materials. To that end, all of the Tidewater people we worked with were professional and thoroughly knowledgeable. This place is awful, the service is awful. I dropped my Ryobi String trimmer off for some warranty work two months ago and they still can"t tell me when the part will arrive or when it will be fixed. STAY AWAY
