This is consecutively the fourth time that upon visiting this store to purchase supplies I am followed to the self checkout and hovered over by 1-2 employees while I am scanning and with perfect timing walk away once I paid or insert my card. I am a woman in heavy industry work, I come in my work clothes. I am one of the last people to come to this sort of conclusion and rarely post a negative review but I will do my best to avoid this location.

One cashier had her light on but "barked rudely" at me that she was leaving but was trying to help the customer that she was with! The next cashier that I went to was pleasant and efficient! If a cashier is can't be nice to ALL customers in any given situation and can't handle the pressure then she should not be cashiering! That was terrible customer service to me and I've been working on in Customer Service for over 40 years and never talked to or treated a customer as she did! She was an older woman with white/gray hair and glasses! Im older too and don't treat any customer that way! She was very rude!

I have been living in the Greatbridge/Hickory area since 1998. I have been coming in this target and have had nothing but good experiences. Tonight, Christmas Eve 2023, that changed.My mother is currently in the hospital, Christmas is going to look completely different for me tomorrow for the first time in 39 years. With all of that on my mind, I’m rushing into target (thanks for staying open until 8PM) to try to buy a last-minute item and possibly a board game for my family to play. This is important because my 17 year old son and my 12 year old son traditionally spent Christmas Eve with my Mother and Father. I noticed that they were a little down about not staying with my parents tonight due to my mother and father being in the hospital. This is the reason I wanted to grab a board game.When I walked in the store at 7:32PM tonight, I was greeted by an assistant manager by the name of Jefferson. With a very strong tone and an unpleasant look on his face his said “just to let you know, we close in 28 minutes”. I replied “ok man, why did you have to say it like that?”. His reply was, “Look, I got a family to get home to”. At this point, I am very distraught and I’m asking to speak to a manager, but nobody is willing to point one out to me because of the fact that he is the assistant manager. It took me asking for target associates what his name was before I could get an answer, I partially understand that because those associates probably didn’t want any issues with management after I left.1. You work retail sir, this is apart of it. If you don’t like having to work Christmas Eve until 8PM and beyond, find another job.2. Your store (thank god) was the only store open until 8PM, you should've saw this coming. I think maybe 30 people came in right behind me.3. I’m not upset that this particular manager was frustrated about having to work on Christmas Eve and possibly being there late because so many people came in 20 to 30 minutes before closing. I’m upset because when given the opportunity to correct his tone, he just stared at me. He stared like my existence was not worth him opening his mouth to correct the situation or resolve the matter.4. Although one individual does not represent the entire company, I do believe by the time you get in a management position, you should not exhibit this type of behaviorLastly, there are a plethora of reasons that people might come into a store, 20 to 30 minutes before closing. We should be sensitive to individuals and what we say, you never know what they just came from or what they might be going through.Jefferson, I hope you and your family have an amazing Christmas and Happy New Year.

I've been to Target exactly twice since the early 90's, and yesterday was a reminder of why. I had made an order online for a Baby Registry. Got the email notification when the order was ready, and arrived about an hour after that. When the Service lady scanned the barcode, she said, "Oh, that's in the back. I'll have to go get it." 8 minutes later, she came back with the items, and by then there was a pretty long line behind me of others waiting. Why tell a customer an order is ready when it's really not?? I felt sooo bad for that older lady for having to make that hike to retrieve my items! There was a dedicated Pickup register next to where hers was, but it was blocked off by a bunch of carts full of stuff, and looked really just a mess. I had also planned on picking up a few other things while I was there. But it appeared that only self-checkout registers were open, all in use, and a line of at least 12 people waiting. ...So I put my other items back and went to WalMart instead, as usual. Shaking my head...

The store is always well stocked and clean. Workers are always friendly and approachable. And I’ve never had an issue with a product or a return.

This review is about being able to contact Target at the Carmichael Way store. They never answer the phone!! It is very frustrating! The phone always disconnects!!

Customer service was awesome this morning!! Kayla the manager was so helpful printing out a much needed receipt for me. She came out with a smile and took her time getting me just what I wanted. The lady at the service desk (don’t know her name) was very helpful too. Love this Target!!!! Thanks ladies.

So severely understaffed. I walked around the home department for about 20 to 25 minutes waiting to spy a single employee. I walked the entire store sell one employee in the kitchen area and one shopping for pick up orders in the food area. In the end I gave up and didn't make my purchase of furniture items because I couldn't find a single person working there. Anyway, ask for assistance in the front they told me there was no one available.

The employees here go above and beyond the standard level of customer service. I bought a few things for the kids that just didn’t fit. Returns were fast and easy. I live in the Hickory part of Chesapeake, and this target is definitely my favorite. Lisa was so kind and helpful. I highly recommend this target!

This has got to be the best Target in all of Hampton roads. Seriously, the store is always neat and bright. Their set up is easy to shop thru and anytime I've needed help at the service desk they have always been super helpful and polite. Thank you !
