I walked in with no appointment and was told the wait would be 10 minutes. Shortly after, a mother and daughter walked in and asked for a pedicure and was told it would be 30 minutes for the two of them. They both were sat down at a chair about 10 minutes later and a few minutes I was able to sit in a chair. I sat in the chair another 20 minutes and noticed that I wouldn’t be taken care of for awhile. I got up and offered to pay for my drink that they offer for customers and explained to the lady I couldn’t wait any longer after being told it was only a 10 minute wait. She then told me that the mother and daughter who came in after me had an appointment which was a lie. I heard the conversation when they walked in and clearing stated they didn’t have an appointment.
This place obviously didn’t care that I sat for as long as I did. If they did, they would’ve told me from the beginning that it would’ve been a longer wait than I was told. It seems like they just want to tell you what you want to hear so you sit in their chair and get comfortable.
I will never return to this place of business again.

After much searching for a nail place as I am visiting Chesapeake for a wedding I was glad to find a highly rated, reviewed salon to get my nails done. Definitely schedule an appointment - I had my manicure done my Selina, she is Absolutely amazing - showed her the dress I was wearing to a wedding and she helped me find the perfect sparkly aqua. I then had Tina do my pedicure, she is so sweet and so good! Tina is still new to America so we communicated through google translate and had some good laughs. Selina and Tina are 2 nail technicians I would gladly travel back to have do my nails again!

i called prior to coming in because i knew a lot of places were booked w/ appointments for graduations and such but they were very friendly to fit me in being a walk in and my first time ever going here. I dont like going new places when it comes to my nails but this is the place i will go to now on just by how good the service was. Selena was so nice and sweet, she did amazing work on my nails and didn't rush like most people do that I've been to. They offer you drinks while getting your service done, which i love!

This was my second visit to this salon. Love how easy it is to make an appointment. Rosemary did an excellent job. I’ve also seen Emily here. Very relaxing, professional, clean, and affordable. Will for sure visit here again.
Cleanliness: Overall a very clean atmosphere
Stylist: Rosemary was very kind, friendly, and gentle. The application of gel polish was perfect!

First had my nails done by Selina for our wedding, and had them redone by Cloe today. It's always a pleasure to visit the spa, it's immaculate. Everyone is courteous, professional, and helpful. Great for a 'Girls Day Out' too, with its close proximity to a Mexican restaurant. Serenity will continue to be a regular stop for the ladies in my family.

I won't be returning after my visit today. I have been here many times and the staff has always been nice. My usual nail tech has moved away and for the last two visits (a fill prior and full set w/gel today) was with Selina. The last visit she gave me a hard time about the nail polish I chose asking me to pick another because she felt that color wad too transparent. Two things, first I've use colors from that book numerous times at this salon and others with no issue ( which I told her). Second, it's the customer's choice...figure it out, maybe 3 coats instead of 2. Today I intentionally chose a different tech only to be placed with Selina again because the tech I scheduled with only does pedicures. Selina proceeded to tell me why did I schedule with that tech she only does pedicures. Seems like a booking issue to me. Serenity's booking site asks what service you want then has you choose a tech for date and time. How would someone know that? Whatever...I start my full set with Selina. Super easy request almond shape that sharp around the tip not rounded (like oval). She proceed to cut the tips like a triangle (literally) after I showed her the picture of exactly what I wanted. I stopped her right there and told her it was ugly and it needed to be fixed. It was fixed but she seemed irritated and proceeded to tell me "well you wanted sharp." I said, I showed you a picture of exactly I wanted. After all was done I go up to pay for services and she charges me $60 for the full set. I know it's advertised as $50+ but I literally asked for a simple full set. There's not even polish color on it just a clear gel coat. She tells me it's because of my length and shaping. Y'all when you get a full set don't they have to cut down the tip and shape it? I could understand if I asked for long nails with crazy artwork and design but for what I got wouldn't that be part of the service as they do ask you what shape you want? Btw, she did this to me last time and charged me $5.00 more when I asked her to shape my nails down a bit shorter since it grew by that much. Hmm don't they file to shape it when you get them filled? I am happy to pay and tip for service especially if I am treated well and get what I ask for or how about be just be transparent and let your customer know ahead of time. I just felt with her that I was nickel and dimed for what most places include as part of the service. No other nail tech there or in many of the other places I've been have changed me the way she has and I found that to be very unscrupulous business practice. Again, not about the money but the principal. The final straw was that she had the audacity to tell me she didn't charge me the bit of acrylic she had to place on the triangle nails to fix the shape. Uhh yeah you needed to fix it, it was not acceptable. Never again and that is too bad because my pedicure with Joseph was excellent.

Ive been going to this salon for a few months. Would Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing experience. Bonnie is amazing! She does such a GREAT job. I just show her a picture of what I want and she does it. Bonnie did a great job always, but she has now left this salon as well as Jesse and her husband. All they said was they went to Virginia Beach, but not where they went. Very disappointing, they made this place great!!
