We had a delivery from SAIA today with one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional drivers that I have encountered in a while. The driver arrived with a bad attitude and it was evident in his lack of service and the way he spoke to his customer. Anything we asked, he could or would not do until challenged or told it was done by previous drivers. We had to refuse the delivery because he refused to put a lift gate on my dock. I gave l2 stars because the truck was clean.

Every single time our shipment is late and damaged. The only reason for the 2 stars is for the last two drivers that have delivered to us, they sympathize with us as customers or at least show some sympathy due to the company being the bottom of the barrel for ltl carriers. They must have the cheapest rates going because I couldn't imagine who would actually want to use them.

My experience getting a 1200 lbs shipment was outstanding. Efficient, on-time, and courteous. The driver, Lorenzo, was very professional and customer friendly.

All I can describe is the experience I had with Saia.I received a large package today in Seaford Virginia. The driver corresponded with me earlier in the day.The driver was the ultimate professional and truly bent over backwards to facilitate delivery.Sincerely Mark Stephens.Ps all drivers should be as skilled as this gentleman

They have had $1500 bath tub I ordered for weeks 3 different times it was supposed to be delivered and its not here. Their phones are always "down" and you can not get a straight answer from anyone. At this point I could have just gone to get it but cannot get a hold of anyone to even schedule that. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Residential delivery, nobody called to schedule tracking said delivery was scheduled between 8am and 5pm. I called them the day of, at about 8:10am and was told they couldn't narrow it down at this time, as the driver had not shown up to sign in to his route. If I wanted to sign up for email delivery alerts or would give me a 3-4 hour delivery window once the driver signed in. I received an alert immediately saying "delivery scheduled" and that's it, no freigh , no email , no contact. I called back at 5:30pm to say "I'm still here and no delivery". I was assured the driver was still out that his ETA was 7 minutes. It's two days later still no freight. I was informed that "it didn't fit on the truck, you have an oversized piece" IT'S A BUMPER FOR MY PICKUP! I told them of they can't get it to me today then just send it back. I can't deal with incompetence and lies. I just told the company I bought from to look out for the return.

I work for Saia, as a part time employee. Jermaine Moses is a great guy to work for. The forklifts may need some fine tuning. But overall, it's a great place to work.

The delivery man himself was awesome and customer service in Ga was nice. However, the company as far as scheduling and communication and timeliness was awful. If you have a choice, choose another company!

I just wanted to publicly thank the driver who assisted me with my delivery today 4/30/20 about 1:30pm. I forgot to get his name but the number on the back of his truck read 487983. He was amazing. Made the delivery in the pouring rain while being polite to a rude random person. Hats off to you my friend. You guys are true heroes in my book. To be able to get outta bed during this crazy time and go to work, then to perform with limited PPE, and do it all while the world tries to find fault in everything you do takes a special kind of person. Thank you SAIA. It's companies like yours that demonstrate what true customer service really means.

I would give them a O if I could! One of the sorriest carriers I have ever dealt with! Our small load was picked up in Richmond coming to Norfolk on 12/31. It should have been to us Thursday 01/02, but we had 1 roll 220lbs that they said would take an extra day as it was 12' long. I gave them that and was told it would be here Friday 01/03. They kept telling me that the reason for the delay was for the 12' goods!! I told them that was why they told me it would be Friday (one extra day)! Found out their driver took our load to Charlotte, NC by accident! We finally received our delivery today 01/06 which was almost 1 week by one day!!!!! It is 104 miles from pick up to us!! On top of all that, the 12' goods was not on the truck and we had damaged freight!! We will never use them again!!! When you call, you have to hold 15 minutes. I suppose that is because there are a lot of unhappy customers calling! I do not see how they stay in business!!!

UPDATE: My son received his 4 wheeler in time for Christmas but only because after hours of back and forth with someone over the phone (to determine if the freight was at the terminal specified in the tracking info) I was able to drive to the Richmond terminal and pick it up myself. So all said and done, I spent over $200.00 for shipping for this item and had to drive 140 miles to pick it up myself. I was called at 6:00 PM and told I could pick it up and the terminal closes at 8:00.
