I had a Crack in my windshield and Safelite was recommended for the replacement. BIG MISTAKE! The tech (Darcy) came out on Sept 4th right at 8am. He was very nice, but super energetic and eager to start. He said he likes to get an early start and move quickly through his day. He was very quick, and It didnt even take him a whole hour to complete. I can only assume that in his haste, he made these errors. Fast forward to 12pm, I go outside to check the windshield and head out for my lunch break. The seals surrounding the bottom of my windshield and bottom corners were so chiseled away at and lumpy and warped that I immediately stopped and called Safelite. Upon further inspection there was a small chip on the middle edge of the windshield on the passenger side. When I got in the car, the housing that covers the rear view mirror was poorly connected and rattling. I took photos of everything. When I spoke to the rep on the phone, he actually sounded like he cared. WRONG AGAIN!! The rep asked me to send photos, which i did, and a second rep was scheduled to come out on the 5th...next day. (Andrew) the tech shows up on the 5th and is there all about 5 minutes. He takes the same pictures I already sent, and sends them to his boss. He tells me "Yeah, that's pretty much all they sent me to do today". He informs me that his boss is going to give me a call. Fast forward to today... I hadn't heard a thing, so I call to follow up. The rep tells me that the boss (Matt) who runs the remote Elizabeth city location put notes in my acct/claim saying that they aren't going to do anything because it was just normal wear and tear. I never heard from Matt and he obviously is trying to brush me off as he decided I wasn't even worth a callback to notify me of this BS decision. The kicker is that I just bought this car and the seals were 100% in tact and flush when I left the dealership with it a month ago. How your allowed to manage a business like this and treat paying customers this way is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional! The unnecessary stress this is causing me after paying $500+ for YOUR SERVICE is absolutely ridiculous. Safelite if this is the best representation you have for this location, perhaps you should close the doors. This is far from over! Do better!

A great place for your glass replacement, specifically automotive. While there is a wait (recommended that you schedule an appointment as walk-ins aren't guaranteed and also if you're going to pay with your insurance you call them first before scheduling your appointment), service is quick once they start on your vehicle. The staff are polite and professional. They are following current respiratory hygiene guidelines. Recommended.

Waste of a day...work was not completed...no call from the office...out $50 on uber rides. I wrote into SafeLite and asked for assistance. They called and said "has anyone called you back yet?" Thats the last i heard from them. Bottom line, they didnt care to rectify the situation or help me...go elsewhere.

I am so beyond frustrated with the service at this location! The staff are not knowledgeable, nor do they talk to each other!
I had my glass replaced on May 15th after a rock cracked my windshield. Afterwards, my heads up display was unusable. Turns out, they installed the wrong glass in my windshield. Since then, I have had six appointments to fix that. I have dropped my car off with them five times now, only to be called and told various excuses as to why my car was not worked on (at the end of the day each time, by the way). These excuses include: breaking the glass they needed to use, not having the glass they needed, not hanging a certified technician available that day to replace the glass.
This time (THE SIXTH VISIT) I made an appointment time instead of over night drop off, and I was promptly on time. After waiting in their waiting room for TWO AND A HALF HOURS they finally grabbed my keys and asked me to discuss the problem with the technician. Why have an appointment time if he's just going to get to it whenever. The technician then told me he doesn't know if they have the correct glass. They better, they called me to schedule this appointment claiming they had the glass.
I am currently waiting to find out if this mistake has been resolved, finally. Regardless of if this is fixed today or not, I will never use them again. I would never recommend this location.
If you value your time STAY AWAY!

I was nothing but disappointed with my service from Safelite. Two missed appointments - one being a reschedule without reasoning and the other a no-show from the technician (which he lied about). Furthermore, they took my card info down as a result of the Microsoft outage and lost that info. The windshield installment was fine, but all other aspects fell short of what I was hoping for based on other reviews.

Made an appointment. They called to reschedule but did not inform me that the new location of the appointment was 2 states away. Waited a whole week for my windshield to still be broken.

Do not go to this Safelight if you have a lifted Toyota!!!! I went there on the 7th of August and rescheduled for 14 August they never looked at my truck before I left. Arrived @0945 had an appointment @1030 they call me to the front desk @ 1130 telling me that they can’t replace my windshield or calibrate the new windshield on my 2018 Toyota Tundra because it has a aftermarket 6” lift. Waste of time, money and gas!!!!!! Safelight you need to have better business practices some type of disclaimer on the website or when the phone call occurs for the reminder and it is known that the customer has a truck. Ask them if there is a lift on it so you don’t waste the customers time and money so they can make other arrangements to get there windshield repaired properly!!!!!

I've been trying to get my windshield replaced for 3 months now and still ongoing. They wouldn’t come to me, I had to bring it to their shop due to some calibration requirement. First time they installed a windshield of very poor quality; it didn't fit correctly with large gaps in exterior molding and had massive distortions in the glass. They agreed to replace it under warranty with OEM glass for better fitment, only after my insurance company agreed to the price difference. I went back two more times and both times I was told they couldn't replace it because the new replacement glass they had ordered had a scratch in it. After waiting a couple more weeks, I went back a fourth time and they called and told me they ordered and installed the wrong vehicle year glass, and it didn't fit, they'd have to order new glass again. Then they called back later in the day (before I picked it up) and told me they replaced it again because they found some OEM glass in the shop after all. I picked it up and found the newly installed glass was scratched again, floors dirty with shoeprints, glue on headliner, interior a-arm pillar fabric scuffed and plastic retainer clips under hood all scratched up and mangled. How did the tech not notice he was installing glass with a scratch in it?
Update: Just had my 5th visit and a couple hours after dropping off they called me to tell me the new glass is scratched again and I need to reschedule. wow shocker! I think these people are unprofessional and incompetent.

Last week my wife scheduled an appointment for my windshield to be replaced. It was scheduled for Monday 6/24/24 between 1PM-6PM. The tech was no show. We called and were told that they could not reach the tech and they would try to work us in on Tuesday 6/25/24. They could not fit us in on Tuesday, so they scheduled us for Wednesday 6/26/24 between 8AM and 1PM. At lunchtime my wife called the Chesapeake office to make sure the tech would be here today. She was expectedly upset that our appointment was missed and that there was little to no communication from the local branch or the tech that was assigned. The first rep that she was able to reach hung up on her, and the second one told us that they are refusing to service us because they didn't like her attitude and she then canceled our appointment. I am glad that Safelite is a big company with deep pockets because the huge crack in my windshield has grown substantially since their original missed appointment and the chances for injury or worse are increasing by the minute. Thanks for the super service.
