Everything was great! I love the way my hair looks and feels after the cut, and I even learned a thing or two about what I can use to help with my curls/frizz. Not to mention they knew not to try and thin out my hair (bad for curls). Definitely coming back when it's time for another trim.Services: Haircut

Donna was fantastic! It is a beautiful and clean salon. Donna greeted me and took the time to explain the process, the cut, the products and made me feel comfortable. She gave my hair such beautiful shape and lightness and really gave my curls new life. I have been to a few other proclaimed curl friendly "deva" salons for almost double the price and have had horrible curly cuts. So to be exact, I'm not one to blast people or businesses on social media but sometimes my other side comes out. My daughter had a hair appointment on her prom day (Saturday 5/13/23) at MUSE HAIR SALON in Chesapeake, VA. Now we live in Norfolk. Got there a little early only to be told that she can't be seen because the person scheduled to do her hair was no longer employed there. Ask if someone else could do it and the answer was no because they were booked. Oh I did say this was my daughter's senior prom day/night right and it was a Saturday. Understand a mother's frustration.We hadn't been back since until today. Had an appointment. Got there 30 minutes early, waited. Only to be told again right at our appointment time that the girl scheduled to do my daughter hair has to leave because her husband needs surgery. The worker was so rude with her response and could care less about us. THEIR LOST. I would never go back nor recommend anyone else to.Services: Haircut

Donna! Y’all she Knows what’s she’s doing. I have naturally curly hair and have been seeing someone else for a deva cut but the past few cuts have left much to be desired. I had an appointment with Donna on July 13th. I was looking for a new stylist that was familiar with naturally curly hair. I read all the positive reviews & was excited to see my results. I asked her to shape my hair & cut only an inch off of the length. It looked like she cut 5 or 6 inches off. I was almost in tears!She also colored my hair. She applied the color & sat me under a dryer for 10 to 15 minutes. She said that would activate the color. I had never had a stylist do this before but, I figured this was a new technique! I'm not sure what had happened but, there was no color change. My roots were still white. She said the color looked great but, there was no color. It looked Horrible!!! She knew I wasn't Happy with the cut or the non color. As far as the length she said, I know it's shorter than you wanted but, at least it's healthy... As far as the color, she told me to live with it for a few days & if I still didn't like it she would redo the color at No Charge. They were in a Hurry to Close Early. Two days later I was diagnosed with Covid. About a week ago when the Covid was gone & I was no longer contagious I tried calling but, got no answer. So, I sent a message to Donna through their website that I was just getting over Covid & wanted to schedule a day to have the color redone as she had said she would do. I still have heard Nothing from them! I spent $240 on a Horrible Cut & Color, that was No Color. And now my messages are being ignored... At least they could've called me back. At the very Least they should offer me a Refund! Horrible, Horrible Experience. This is NO WAY to Run a Business....Rushed service·Painful experienceServices: Haircut

When we made an appointment for our daughter, it was easy and the appt went well. I called to make an appt for our 14 yr old son to get a perm and haircut and making the appt was easy… over 3 weeks later and the appointment has been cancelled AGAIN for the 2nd time. Last Saturday they apparently overbooked, ok I can deal with that, so they rebooked him for today 4/1 at 4.. And starting yesterday they said if we didn’t confirm they would have to rebook because they are super busy being close to Easter. By the time I saw the message they were closed but I left a msg on their machine letting them know he WOULD be there 4/1 at 4. Today when I woke up they sent a msg via VM saying they needed to talk to me asap. I call and now the stylist apparently suddenly has “strep”. That’s bogus, and totally HORRIBLE customer service. After spending over $150 on our 10 year old there, and willing to spend more for our sons service. Now they guaranteed themselves an unhappy former customer that HAD been flexible and willing to work with them, to a former customer who won’t give them anything but word of mouth to stay as far away from their salon as possible and won’t give them another penny. If you are looking for a curly cut...THIS IS THE PLACE! Muse is trendy, comfortable and NOW! My hair needs were handled by the co-owner. She was attentive and listened to me about my hair goals. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was seated in her chair. I definately recommend that if you want to get back to basics with your hair... check out MUSE! you will thank me later.

Came here for the first time today and just told her what I wanted. My hair was in bad condition. Michelle is the one I did my hair and she did an amazing job!! I would definitely recommend this place!! Also had my daughters hair cut and she loved it! Price is high but worth it if you want a great job on your hair!

Horrible haircut after washing my hair. Bangs are crooked and layers didn't show much. When I was at the salon, Kate did blow-dry my hair as she was cutting it and I kept mentioning I want my layers. The way she styled it appeared I had some layers but after washing it the real cut showed. Waste of money.
