Do NOT send your kids to this daycare, and if you are a childcare provider, DO NOT WORK HERE.I used to work at this La Petite Academy location. The directors Kyera and Ashley are absolutely awful, they seem nice at first but as soon as they get comfortable with you it's passive aggression and speaking down on their employees. I used to get spoken to like I was one of the students and not a teacher, it's absolutely ridiculous and they are not emotionally sensitive enough to be working in positions of power. Childcare is notoriously stressful, and it's wild to me that even with the minimal amount of staff they've managed to hold onto that they would have the audacity to treat their employees the way they do. For the prices as high as they are, the quality of care is abysmal, as is the treatment of any staff member that isn't named Kyera or Ashley. This account uses a fake name to protect my identity.

My twins Davion and Kamille have been enrolled on LaPetite Academy on 1025 Plantation Lakes Circle Chesapeake VA 23320 since October of 2022. They recently turned 2 and were transitioned from toddlers to 2s classroom. The classroom does not have a door. Today I was told by the director Kyera Smith and District manager that because my son ran out of the classroom, NOT out of the building that he was a flight risk and that I needed to pick him up and he would not be able to return. Concerned about the safety of other children at a facility that considers a 2 year old a flight risk. I think a solution more like putting a door up would of been more appropriate. With the tuition rates that's the only solution they could offer a working mother. He's 2, not 12.

I know my child is safe and in good hands and I can see whatever is going on in my child’s class. The teachers do understand my child’s needs too. Their director, Miss Kyera is the sweetest person.

My daughter has been going to this la petite for over a year now and I will say she loves it there. The director Ms. Keira is the sweetest and hard working director. The staff are also amazing and with everything going on with COVID they have really gone above and beyond to make sure everyone follows the health guidelines.

If you think this place is following the COVID 19 guidelines. They literally making employees work when most of them tested positive for COVID. They literally made to work a person that i know to work with a temperature of 100.5F and you are telling me that's ok. They are dealing with children all day, we have to be careful with what are they doing. This place is no close yet because yeah employees need a paycheck but come on guys this is not right at all. Also the director yeah is a hard worker but really do not care about their employees or guidelines or about the kids.

I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE IT ONE START BUT IT MADE ME!!! THIS CENTER IS THE DEFINITION OF NEGLECT! CHILDREN ARE NOT CARED FOR PROPERLY, LEFT CRYING OUTSIDE WHILE THE "teachers" stand in circles talking and laughing. Kids run around with snot all over their face and running down their mouth and the director just wants to give excuses with a attitude I took my kids out immediately after she gave me attitude! My son had bronchitis and the flu now after I asked for my son to not go outside because it's cold she says it's mandatory that they go outside and if I dress him properly he will be fine! You sound stupid any child outside playing in the cold is going to get sick especially when their outside crying and no one's tending to them, tears and snot running and the cold temperatures. Kids licking the gate and so much more Iv seen and the excuse is always their tending to other kids NO! Their job is to tend to all kids and NO! Their not even doing that, their standing around laughing and talking with eachother!

A very long story short. This company is not honest, unfortunately my son loved going here but until we found out they were lying to their parents about company policies from corporate and when questioned about it Mrs iris decided to tell me she doesn't have time for this and hang up on me and then not answer my calls directly after, my son will be removed from this school.. here is your notice since you won't take my calls. Your corporate office forwarded me your policies and you are taking advantage of parents during a pandemic . You should be shut down. And from someone who knows reviews and feedback make a difference i am making it my personal goal to post this on any website clicked and linked to you. I am making it my goal to find every parent my son mentioned and forward corporate handbook and policies that Mrs iris just explained they are overpaying at her explanation of "policy " i am very understanding but you hang up on me like I'm an inconvenience when I rely on you take care of my son.... no you shouldn't take care of any child. Ill take this to the local news. This is not how you run a child care.

Incredible and loving staff! They go above and beyond to make my son feel loved and safe. My husband and i drop him off knowing he’ll be getting cuddles, care, and the attention he needs every day. Very clean and welcoming environment! I’ve never had a problem with any of the staff, who are all so friendly and sweet! I definitely 100% recommend to any family looking for genuine and loving care for their little ones!

We wouldn’t take our daughter anywhere else! The staff is friendly, actively engaged with the students, always attentive and supportive. The Center Director pulls staff together, inspires the staff to bring their best, and consistently looks to make improve wherever possible. Look no further- we toured numerous locations and no other school came close. No complaints.

This school is out of control. The kids are not being supervised in some of the class rooms. There is no one in charge and no one knows what is going on. They have new directors coming in each day and no one has no information. They dont even no what child belongs to what parent. I dropped my daughter of this morning and it took over 15 min for my child to get her temp token because no one could find the director. And then when she finally came she took the temp and I told her I needed to speak to her. She looked at me and walked my daughter to her class. So I sat down to wait for her. 3 min later my daughter ran out to the front door. Luckily I was sitting there and grabbed my daughter or she would off went out the front door. No teacher came to look for her . It took 3 mins for the so called director to come get my daughter. I then told her my daughter and I are leaving this is crazy. These kids are not safe. Do not go to this location.

My son will be reaching his year anniversary here at La Petite. The ladies in the Toddler room has been such a saving grace for my child. They love on my child as if he were one of their own. I feel comfortable and confident that that my child is truly well taken care of. I am a little sad that he will be transitioning out of the toddler classroom. But all the ladies in the toddler room are absolutely the best.

I am at peace while at work knowing my children are safe here. The staff is so amazing and caring. I went through terrible experiences leading up to finding this care center and I thought I'd never be able to trust facilities and care providers with my children again. After touring this facility and spending time with Shanetta and Ashley, my husband and I immediately knew this was the place we wanted our children to attend. It has been 6 months and I still have that comfort knowing my children are safe. There is so much experience and a sense of security with Ms. Ruth and Ms. Shanetta who have been here for 10 plus years. My daughter runs in each morning and is greeted with hugs and happiness. Kindness runs through the staff and children. I am updated throughout the day with my children's productivity playing, eating, potty, etc. through their brightwheel app and am sent photos and videos. We are greeted each morning and any news and events are communicated while we are at the facility as well as through their app. Overall, I have had an amazing experience and would recommend this care facility to everyone in the area for as long as my children are enrolled! I am very grateful to have found them and thankful for Ms. Shanetta's empathy and loving personality. She conducted our tour and her passion and love for the children and facility proved to us that this place was family. And that is how we have felt since we have enrolled...a safe place for friends and family!

We love La Petite at Plantation Lakes Circle! Infant room is amazing. We feel comfortable leaving our daughter there during the day and are worry free about something ever happening. Our daughters teachers are great and she loves it!

We couldn’t have been happier with the ladies at this La Petite. They were kind, caring and best of all, LISTENED AND COMMUNICATED. That’s 1/2 the battle with a childcare provider and I think as long as you have that, everything will be ok. The ladies in the infant class doted on our daughter like she was their own and always let us know what she was up to. They also have the brightwheel app which is very useful. If we hadn’t moved, we would have stayed until preschool.
