Kempsville Building Materials were contracted by the builder of my home to assist in building my beautiful home. I only reached out to them once within my warranty period to take care of an issue. The staff was always very nice, professional, attentive and punctual. Any work needed was completed correctly and efficiently.I did not think I would need to reach out to Kempsville Building Materials again until recently when one of my windows got stuck. This is one of those windows you can open inward. I spent almost one hour trying to fix it and could not adjust it or fix it. I was desperate! This was already early afternoon, I had no appointment and it was a last minute call to their office, not even knowing if they would have time to speak with me.Andy answered the phone and he could not have been nicer! I told him my predicament and he walked me through several options troubleshooting the issue. He was so patient and did not make me feel rushed. He could have very easily given up, because it was hard to direct someone to do someone via phone/video call. Andy tried everything he could via the phone and finally told me that someone had volunteered to come by my home to assist me. I was beyond grateful, as I would not have been able to close my window!Approximately one hour later Dave came by my home to assist me with the window. I think it took him less than 2 minutes to figure out the problem and fix it!Andy and Dave were not only true professionals, but they both showed how committed they are to their customers or someone in need.I cannot say THANK YOU enough! That day I had a lot going on (as I am sure they did too), but their act of service/kindness meant more to me than they will ever know!THANK YOU Andy, Dave, and Kempsville Building Materials for a job well done and your outstanding commitment to your customers!

This place is terrible for a truck driver to unload slow take forever people just standing around watching. Only one guy unloading trucks and he's slow as molasses there should be at least two people unloading.

Guy on the forklift was amazing. Super helpful. Even with the little things.. He ran not walked to the forklift to get done what he was doing so he could help us..Great customer service.

As a flatbed driver, it went well.Stop at the gate. Someone will tell you where to move.Staff was friendly although keep an eye looking around since few lift driver are on their cellphone.Staff was friendly.It took me 45 min to unstrap and getting unloaded ?I would sleep in street if I was to get the day before. It seems a safe area.Nice place in general.

I drive for US lumber and its always a pleasure to deliver to Kempsville Chesapeake. Ed Brinkley is one hell of a awesome guy. Bryant also is a great guy and they always help me get unloaded in a timely manner!!!

Amazing service for any industry better than most hospitality operations! One of the many workers in the lumberyard instructed us on where to find our materials and than went to the office and wrapped up 20 brackets we needed and delivered them to us in the yard in a very timely fashion! These guys are good! The gentleman that took my order was very polite! Keep this up KBM!
