Terrible pharmacy. I needed to pick up 10 prescriptions for my mother-in-law that were sent by the rehab facility after her stroke. She was moving into assisted living and needed the meds. The rehab sent them to the pharmacy on Wednesday. When I went on Thursday to pick them up, they said they had no record of them. So, I brought back the original written prescriptions. The manager said they were closing in 20 minutes and she would have the ready the next day at 10am and would text me when they were ready. So about 11 I finally went over and they said they only had one done. I stress the importance of her getting these ASAP since she needs them. So about 25 minutes later I went back. The girl said, "here are your two prescriptions." I told her there were 10 and she said that is all she saw in the system. After fumbling about for a while, she found the prescriptions I left with the manager the previous night. Now, it was almost noon and they tell me it would be AT LEAST another 30-40 minutes before I could even get them. Meanwhile, an elderly lady who needs these medications is sitting in an assisted living facility without the medication that was faxed over here two days ago. Now I am just sitting here waiting for them, missing work, and very irritated. Hopefully they can get me these meds for her so I can get them delivered. Worst customer service ever at a pharmacy I have ever had.

Service has gone down DRASTICALLY! This last one takes the cake. Yesterday my dad was being released from Chesapeake Regional and his scripts were called in early afternoon. As he wouldn’t need anything until this morning, I figured I would wait to get them so I could settle him in. Big mistake. I am here at 9:30 am for scripts called in at 12:30 yesterday and they still aren’t filled. When I asked the person working the pharmacy counter (mind you there is no one here waiting for meds) why this wasn’t done yesterday, this is what I am told. “I don’t know what they did yesterday, I am only covering today”. Third time in 2 weeks this has happened.

I’ve been using this pharmacy for at least 10 years or so. They’ve never been that busy like some pharmacies. But, the help and friendliness from the associates have never been very nice. Especially today 9/19/23 at 11:30am. All 3 associates ignored me standing there. Then the one who finally did help acted rude and made me feel I was inconveniencing her. Maybe that’s why they are never busy. Just sad.

Switched to these folks from CVS......wow...like going from the crazy animals in the zoo to the local friendly pub with little to no wait times and attentive staff at your service.

Worst looking roses just in time for Valentine's Day. Every petal on every rose had burnt/wilted black tips. Several were moldy. I've been buying roses for 30 years and these were the worst I've ever seen. How could they charge $40.00 for awful roses? I found better at another store down the street and they were much cheaper. Shame on you Harris Teeter. Do better.

I can't believe that this store doesn't have better reviews! The meat Dept, the Deli Dept, bakery, specialty cheese section, produce and Floral ALL have such great service members. Always so kind, professional, knowledgeable and fast. And I can't go anywhere else because they ACTUALLY have on average 5 to 7 lanes open to check you out and an active rep at the self check out! I Despise def check out when I have a large cart load and they are always pumping through getting the lines down. I have NEVER Once waited with more then 1 to 2 customers in front of me. They always have the unique items I'm looking for and everything is always fresh and clean. WHY doesn't this store have a 5 star rating?? Beats the heck out of me!

This is the absolute SLOWEST deli in the area. WHY IS There a line. If you can not serve the people standing in front of you you should not be slicing meats for people who are not even there

Always a good nice clean grocery store! The fresh section such as the deli and cheese area and salad bar are always great! Fresh and flavorful! They have way more ballon options that I would think they would have. The alcohol section is pretty good decent amount of options!

Used this Harris Teeter on Hanbury Road in Chesapeake to pick up a few items while in town. The cashier, Sharon, seemed peeved we were wearing mask to start. She was basically "surly". She visually rolled her eyes when my husband attempted small talk to be friendly. Also never a good idea to assume someone is a "Senior". The cashier, Sharon, made a point to point out she had applied the Senior Discount. Seriously?!?! We will use self checkout next time we are using this Harris Teeter.

The Hanbury Road location is one of my favorites even tho the fried chicken from the deli was abnormally bad today. When I called to describe the black bones, strange taste and appearance I was extremely pleased that Sarah (the manager) made me feel as tho she cared...going above and beyond to make it up to me. When I return with my receipt (the next time) I've been offered compensation in a very kind and thoughtful manner. While in the store I earlier I overheard a lady purchasing crab cakes in the fresh seafood department. Matt offered to wait on me and told me his all time favorites are the signature lump crab cakes which cost exactly twice as much as the Charleston style crab cake. I decided to buy both to compare the flavors. I ate them both side by side and It was like night and day. The signature lump crab cake are delicious! The flavor is perfect and the crab meat is generous. Their wine section has everything you could ask for but it's much more expensive than most stores. Pretty good selection as well. I remember the first time visited I this location they had pulled pork in the deli...buy one get one free. It was so tasty that I returned for more. Harris Teeter is still the store that everyone thinks of when in search of hard to find items. I'd recommend the store highly and will return frequently.

Great Harris Teeter to go to on the way to the beach. They carry a few extra things that other stores may not carry such as beach chairs, towels, mats etc. and most of it is reasonably priced. They also have a pretty good selection of freshly made food and alcoholic beverages too. Use their self checkout if possible because a lot of times their regular lanes back up and their employees are not really in a hurry. Overall great location and nice store.
