I was very pleased with choosing Great Bridge Auto & Transmission Repair to replace my car radiator. Both men I spoke with and that worked on my car seemed very knowledgeable in answering any questions I had as well as knowledgeable in the car repair.I was given an estimate of the repair cost up front, and when to bring it back for repair once the part came in. Even at this they were extremely accommodating to my work schedule and it being my only means of transportation.I feel like the repair cost was comparable to other repair businesses.Customer service and friendliness of a business is very important to me. This business left me being very impressed in this area.To sum it all up, I would recommend this place of business if in need of car repair.

Great Bridge Auto truly went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service. They didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary services or parts. Instead, they provided a clear and transparent assessment of my brake issue, explaining the necessary repairs in a way that I could easily understand. My husband has been taking our personal and work vehicles here for sometime. I personally got to experience the professionalism the personalism of this company and I cannot say enough good things. When you’re stranded on a military base and you can’t get a hold of any tow truck at night ,Mike was the only person that was able to get me in contact with a tow company and saved the day! Absolutely was able to diagnose the problem while trying to help me get a tow and have my car back within 24 hours fixed and not skip a beat ! If you need work done to your vehicle I would highly recommend reaching out to them as they treat you like family ! Thanks as always for taking care of all of our automotive needs! For as long as we are in the area this is the only place will go !

Brought in my Ford focus 2014. Thought I was having transmission problems cuz I was dealing with high RPM and some shudder when I would accelerate and it would change gears (it's an automatic). They came back and told me it was not the transmission but the spark plugs three of them needed to be changed out and The valve cover gasket needed to be changed because it was leaking oil. The reason to check engine light was on in my car was the camshaft sensor code, I personally replaced the camshaft twice myself and it didn't do anything, so I told them to go ahead and change it in case I did it wrong. So they did all that work changing the spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and the camshaft sensor. The RPMs went down a little bit but I still had the shuttering it wasn't as bad but it was still there. Anyway a month later I got a letter from Ford telling me about The warranty on the TCM being extended. Because I still having problems I decided to take it in figuring maybe it was the TCM. Ford came back and said that it wasn't the TCM. "Noted and documented the valve cover has been off and the tube seals on the VCT accuators are torn, upside down and pouring oil all over the ignition coils." They also said regarding the cam shaft sensors "measured resistance from c1367 to c175E. Upon measuring found LE143, VE706, RE143 were all open to the PCM. Accessed the wiring harness and found the harness has chaffed under the throttle body. accessed and opened the harness and found five open wires. All three listed above were open but also while inside found two separate wires one solid yellow and the other was purple with a red stripe. Have no codes or know where they go to but both were cut through." Reason I bring that up is because on Great bridge Auto transmission's report they told me that none of the wires were cut or split for the camshaft sensors. So pretty much they installed the valve cover gasket wrong and The tube seals on the VTC actuators were put in wrong as well. When I called them to let them know, I had already told Ford to do the work I wasn't going to take the car back here and have to wait longer to get it done, because I didn't even know if they could do it right cuz they messed everything they did up. Anyway when I called here they tried to say that Ford has said before that work they have done on cars have been wrong and pretty much tried shift the blame from them to Ford. I don't know All I know is that after Ford did the work the check engine light on my car is gone and it runs perfectly fine now. So if you have work for spark plugs or valve cover gaskets or camshaft sensors I would not recommend this place because they can't do that work well apparently. If I'm shelling out $1,000 for you to do some work I would expect you to do the work right and not completely wrong.

"Valve cover has been off and the tube seals on the vct actuators are torn, upside down and pouring oil all over the ignition coils." Had to drop anotjer $1600 to get it fixed at ford.

This is by far the best shop. I bought my Range Rover here, and I got the BEST service and customer service. Fred is the absolute BEST. Very professional, and kind. I didn’t catch the guy name who did my service but he’s was awesome too. I saved over $1k going to this shop. The shop gave me better parts than I got from the dealership. 10 out of 10.

Was searching for someone to do a transmission flush on our 2008 Ford Expedition. Called and spoke to Mike. He was hesitant in just giving me a price and wanted me to bring the vehicle in. Was able to get in quickly and he ran a thorough diagnostic test. Went over options and prices. Pricing was definitely fair. Only did what was needed. Got the vehicle repaired and some other services done as well that I asked for. Got my car back by the end of the day. Mike and his staff went above and beyond and I highly recommend them!

We are new to the area and my husband had a breakdown on the highway on the way to work. The car was smoking and wouldn’t go into gear. Looked up shops within the AAA towing radius and chose Great Bridge Auto and Transmission repair because of the excellent reviews and the fact that I was sure we would need a new transmission. This was on a Friday and I expected it would be days until I got the car back. Mike called to let me know the car had arrived and they would be looking at it as soon as possible. Within a couple of hours he called back having diagnosed the problem and letting me know the cost to fix it. It was a couple hundred dollars and I was so relieved that it wasn’t a few thousand! He also let me know I could pick it up by the end of the day. About 10 min later he called back to say he was sorry that he had given me an incorrect quote. My heart sank as I braced myself to sign my next few paychecks over to him. He then told me the actual charge was LESS than he had originally calculated! What?! He could have easily let me pay the original quote as I was already overjoyed with the service and the fact that it wasn’t my transmission. On the way to pick up the car he called again. I’m thinking “This is where he calls to tell me the bad news.” He says when he was driving the car to check the repair he noticed there was no AC. I told him we knew that it was the compressor, and our trusted mechanic in FL had quoted us 1000 to fix it. We had just decided to deal with it as we were moving up north and the car is an older model. He then said he had simply topped off the freon for me and it was now blowing cold air. For real?!? I felt like I was in an alternate universe. He knew I was picking up my husband from work and offered to stay a bit later if we could not make it by closing time. The start of this day was one of the worst I’ve had in a while and it turned out to be a fabulous day because I found a mechanic for our family that is trustworthy and provides superior customer service. Thanks so much!!!

I originally called and was inquiring about a service my car needed and FORD gave me a crazy price for this service. Mike told me my car did NOT need this service until the car gets to 100,000 mls. Clearly they are honest. Today I took my Cadillac for a brake service. After they inspected it they determined it only needed back brakes and the emergency brake assembly completely fell apart on its own. After all the service and replacement of all parts. I got the bill, nowhere close to what Cadillac was going to charge. They have a new customer for ever. Thanks guys

So we had just got a oil change at Jiffy Lube in March of 2020 (please avoid at all costs) and were out running errands when the oil drain plug busted while we were driving. We didn't know, kept driving, engine chokes, we get towed to the nearest auto shop. The service was great and fast, all we needed was an new drain plug and an oil fill. Apparently our oil filter already needed changing so they swapped it out and an extra $11 is nothing. But then they scared us into a diagnostic which somehow cost $220, which just seems vastly overpriced. If you care to respond the invoice number is 15009, please don't post my husband's name.

Brought my new/used 2001 Ford Focus in as car was shutting off at 45 mph. First was charged $440 and they said it was fixed. Nope, brought it back and was charged another $840, said it was now fixed. Nope, they now said it was electrical and to take it to Tidewater Electric. Was not electrical, was the fuel pump but Tidewater Electric fixed it to the tune of another $1440.00. Was not offered any money back from Great Bridge Auto and Transmission as they fixed nothing. Will never use them again. Repairs cost more than I paid for car. Don't use them. Tidewater Electric is great, found the problem in a day.

This place told my daughter it would be $7,000 to repair her car and just to sell it because the repairs cost more than the car is worth. She called me up crying. Three quarts of transmission fluid and about $30 dollars later. Her car was running perfectly fine again. It was just a bit thirsty!
