Love this location, so close to the house I can grab my essentials without having to drive out 10miles. This place is so clean awesome staff. Never seen anything bad any foods being sold here.

Still amazed at how quickly they filled my prescription! Additionally when I had to call to double check about a possible drug interaction between two medications I am taking the pharmacist, Gretchen, was professional and very helpful in allaying my concerns and anxieties.

Starbucks at this location is gross and expensive! Expresso is super bold here it ruins the drink. 1/2 full bag of grapes here is $11.50.

The pharmacy manager Gretchen is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! She always smiles and works Very diligently. She’s helpful and always friendly, even when she’s busy. If I could give her 10 stars I would. Joe is also very helpful, friendly, and has been a longtime favorite pharmacist back when it was Farm Fresh pharmacy. These 2 are the prime example of the ideal pharmacist. Switching to Teeter pharmacy from CVS has been a lifesaver for me. I don’t have to wait weeks for the right script to come in, and I don’t have to leave with a headache dealing with all the rude staff at CVS. You guys are amazing!! ???

The Harris Teeter on Volvo Parkway and Kempsville Road has deli specials daily... as they all do. I must admit the fried chicken is noticeably better when a lady named Khadijah is cooking. When she's not cooking there are white spots that look like raw flour on the chicken and the flavor is off. I can't explain it but she knows her stuff! They offer fried chicken on sale once a week and the next day might be a baked 8 piece instead of a fried 8 piece. The next day it might be a rotisserie chicken on sale. Sometimes all 3 are on sale. The sale is usually $2 or $3 cheaper. The sale price is usually $4.99. I've had the same fried chicken at the Harris Teeter on Virginia Beach Blvd. and it wasn't as good. I've also had it at the Harris Teeter on South Plaza Trail. When Khadijah is cooking the one on Volvo Parkway and Kempsville Road wins the flavor competition hands down! She makes the skin with just the right amount of crispiness and the chicken is moist. I can't understand how it appears hers tastes so much better as far as the seasoning unless it's just that she changed her oil more frequently. That will definitely improve the flavor!

I worked at several Harris-Teeter locations for a combined 7 years and still shop at Harris-Teeter most weeks. I have frequented many Harris-Teeters up and down VA and NC. I would consider myself a Harris-Teeter connoisseur. This feels like my moment to shine. Store #465 is a refurbished FarmFresh that still remains many of its FarmFresh qualities. The tile floors are the same. The walk-in cooler seems like a remnant. The overall bones of the store feel like an old FarmFresh and for that I just don't feel like Harris-Teeter did really enough to make it theirs. I would still go to the Greenbrier location #176 even though its a little farther away. The parking is much more manageable than in that awkward strip mall. The self-checkout machines at Greenbrier are new and quick, whereas we were a little dismayed to see the ones at the new store looked like were from a back alley. Overall, this store is a Harris-Teeter and as such you'll find the stuff you'll find at every Teeter: items marked $1-2 above what you'd get them for at Kroger/Target/Walmart, but good prices on sale items. A solid meat/seafood department that actually cuts their own meat -- a rare gem in grocery nowadays. But it's a Teeter facade inside a FarmFresh and, unless they truly gutted the whole thing, it'll always have the dinginess of the old store before it.
