Ordered a Stanley cup with 49 units available inventory online to p/u at the Chesapeake location and in less than 1hr the order was inadvertently canceled. Call the store to find out what’s up and the Store Manager says they have zero inventory, their “system says they got a truck yesterday but they really didn’t, maybe it will be on the next truck.” I guess the Store Mgr doesn’t know for product to show up in store inventory it has to be physically scanned into inventory. It just doesn’t magically “pop up” one day as available O/H. I guess they didn’t feel like finding it. Poor customer service. NP, I’ll just get it from Amazon instead.

I ordered Hoka sneakers online to pick up at the Chesapeake store. When I got there, I opened the box while I was in the store, and the shoes were USED...scuffed on the bottom & lint inside.
Fortunately, they had a new pair in stocks.
Check your order before leaving the store!!!

Dick’s continues to disappoint. In a store that previously dedicated half its floor space to camping, hunting, fishing and hiking, one can now not even find a pair of hiking socks on the sales floor. The flashy name brand merchandise that was on the floor was priced as usual such that only those willing to go into debt for the prestige could possibly have afforded it. Ashley saved the day by going out the back door, in the rain, to a trailer where some hiking socks were kept, as she was told, because they were “out of season”. In May. Dick’s should thank its lucky stars that Academy Sports has not yet come to town and fear the day it does, because I can’t see how this endures when any alternative exists. The one star is because it’s the lowest I can give. The second star is only for Ashley, who made the trip not a complete waste of my time.

Don’t expect anyone to help you. Went to look at shoes but the workers are too busy playing on their phones and ignoring you to help.

Stopped in to purchase golf shoes and had to leave after waiting for 25 minutes for a sales person to bring them out. Went to.ask for help and 3 employees where just hanging around talking at golf simulator. They said sorry so one will be right here. We waited 10 more minutes and just left.

Not the place I remember. Mostly selling Nike and other branded gear, no sales racks, no employees greeting you or available to help. All the women's workout clothes seem to be cropped or immodest. No prices on any rollerblades or a bench for trying them on. Section was a mess and I felt like I was dumpster diving in a corner. Not one reason to go here. 2 stars for price matching though

I went to the Chesapeake location which is organized and fully stocked when I shop. I was greeted by every associate that I saw. I ordered online for in store pick up, which was super quick. When I arrived, my item was ready. I wanted an additional item and asked if the associate could check the system for availability. Tyler who was working at the service desk was happy to assist me. Tyler located the item in the system as well as in stock. He went above and beyond to make my experience an exceptional one!

Stopped by for a tennis racket for my daughter. Every employee I saw greeted me and asked if I needed help. The store was very clean and organized. In a time where online shopping is at it's highest, I would still make this my first stop when looking for any sporting goods.

I received 2 flannel shirts for my birthday, as gifts. Unfortunately they did not fit. I took them back without the receipts because they were gifts. They were only willing to give me $2.50 for each $40.00 shirt. I'll give them to charity before I'd let them have them back
