Farris is the BOSS!!!!Always has an amazing attitude, truly engaging with an uplifting spirit .It seems no matter what he’s going through or what he has going on. He’s always willing to stop and take a moment to help people. That’s half of the reason I go there , hoping to catch Farris because of the amazing top-notch, professional, and courteous service that I get from him and the majority of the staff who work there .The experience is half of the reason why we go anywhere. Let’s keep it real. There’s 1000 thrift stores in the 757.Plus I really love books!!!What an amazing place!!!The coolest part is that it support the disabled American veterans.Whats even cooler about this organization is that it actually has a somewhat bigger impact over all in helping disabled American veterans than even the wounded warrior project .The wounded warrior project just gets more press because of the famous endorsers.People think that this is just a thrift store. It’s a thrift store and more !!!They continue to help those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, and their families even after they come home and get spit on or can’t get a job.I would say DAV is a win-win all the way around .

Really fun to visit, you never know what goodies you will find. I have had a lot of luck finding quality clothing items for my husband. Pricing may be a little inconsistent- I found 4 of the exact same glass items and one pair was $1 less each than the other pair.

I like this thrift store but the staff could be a bit friendlier. Some of the prices are absurd and more than retail for the same items.

I have donated several times to DAV Thrift Store located on Centerville Parkway in the heart of Great Bridge. As thrift stores go, this is a pretty good one. The staff is friendly, the store is clean and well organized and they make you happy that you made a donation to the organization.

Not Family FriendlyThe last two times I have been to DAV with my kids, I have been asked to leave the store. Once we were told they were closes 15+ minutes before closing when I already had a cart full of items to purchase and there were other people shopping. Today, when I was less than 10 feet from my kids, an employee scolded my kids and told them they had to stay next to their parents.

Like all their cluttered. I’m surprised you have to ask them to round up for the Veterans. They don’t ask like CHKD.

If you’re shopping on a budget don’t go here. Prices are outrageous and the employees name brand pick everything out marking them anywhere from $300-$600 for a pair of shoes. Vans and Nike shoes $80-$100. Walmart brands priced more than Walmart. They Justifying it by saying it goes to a good cause. I went up to the register with a jacket without a tag and three employees walked to the back with it to price it. after the employee checking me out replied oh my god this is soooo cute then to return telling me it was $99. Unless you’re an influencer, I don’t know who would pay $99 for a used jacket. You can literally go to brand name stores for cheaper prices and it’s brand new. 90% of the people actually shopping secondhand cant afford those prices

The dressing rooms have been closed for a LONG time. Past 2 times I've gone. They need to get the lock fixed if that's the real problem. The had two and both were closed. Losing out on A LOT of sales bc the items are not refundable..so if I can't try them on I'm not buying them .. If they fit I would have spent around 50$ ...compound that by all the customers shopping for clothes a day and you are losing serious sales. People are friendly there ..staff...other areas are organized and mostly kept clean.

I've been here like one or 2 different times. The place is very much in order. Prices seem more reasonable that the outside Virginia Beach expensive world. Found some jeans for $6.98. Not too bad.

Frustrating that the dressing rooms are STILL closed. So you either gamble with the clothes and possibly lose your money or you just don't purchase clothing.

Poor Lighting. I inspected my items as well as I could but was only able to see some flaws after paying for them and taking them outside in the sun light. They have a no return policy so at that point I was stuck with the items. They also don't have fitting rooms and some of the clothing is too expensive to risk the chance it may not fit. The supervisor is very rude. She doesn't know the meaning of customer service.

This is my favorite thrift store in all of Hamptons! I'm always trying to find quality WOOD furniture that I can upcycle or convert into something else, and they always have a good amount, and boy does it go fast. I wanted a table I saw there, and the next day it was gone. You literally have to buy when you see and commit to the item lol. I also got a Blogilates gallon size waterbottle for $2, when those easily go for $40 brand new. The staff is really friendly, and the items are pretty good quality for being second hand. They have a minimal toy selection, as opposed to the other DAV in Virginia Beach, but it's really all about what you are looking for. I recommend. They give back to veterans.

This place used to be awesome. Now everything is way overpriced. The pricing lady just uses Google Lens to price items. She scanned an item without a tag right in front of me as if brand new products online are worth the same as used thrift store items...
