My 5-year-old son is in so much pain from a diagnosed eye condition that he sleeps with an ice pack on his head and spends his days with blurred vision. I made an appointment with Coastal almost two months ago to get a second opinion on his condition and to listen to their treatment plan.
His appointment was today at 3. I took my car to his bus stop at 2:20 so we could come straight here and be early. When his bus arrived, my son was not on it. It took the division 15 minutes to find out where he was, and then they gave me the option of picking him up at school or waiting for another bus to bring him. I drove to the school, signed him out, and came straight here. I called my husband on the way and asked him to call and let them know we were on our way.
We pulled in the parking lot at 3:09. I had to get two kids out of car seats and in to the door. I told the receptionist who we were and apologized for the emergent situation. All that she said was we were past their grace period for being late, so we couldn’t be seen today. I looked at my phone, and it was 3:12 at that time. I asked her what the grace period was, and she said 10 mins. I said we walked in at 3:11, so one minute past. She said it was 3:12 when we walked in. She said the soonest we could reschedule was for the last day of January.
I understand rules. I understand schedules. But to push our appointment 5 weeks due to an emergency situation that was completely beyond our control is merciless. It’s hard to believe that a doctor’s office has this little compassion.

From the front desk staff, to my tech, to Dr. Williams, to the optician that helped me pick out glasses.. top notch experience. As a former optometric tech & scribe, I'm super impressed! Glad to now be a patient with Coastal Vision!

The staff from the front desk, the tech, and the doctor were all extremely friendly, helpful and informative. I scheduled an emergency appointment same day to get some eye irritation looked at and was able to get in quickly. My appointment was for 10:30am, I was taken back a little sooner than that, and I was back in my car by 11:06am. Although the appointment was quick, I by no means felt it was rushed. I was actually surprised by the time when I got back in my car. The tech and the doctor were thorough and patient. Highly recommend and I will be returning in the future for other eye care needs!

I had to have special glasses made. They were friendly and prompt. I also had to have eye therapy to strengthen the muscles around my eyes. I was skeptical but it really worked! My eyes are much stronger now and don't get tired as quickly as they once did. If your doc recommends it... do it! I'm glad I did!!

Wonderful! From beginning to end, I was treated with respect by a knowledgable and caring staff. I had a thorough exam. Dr Wong was amazing! He is a highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable doctor. He took his time in explaining everything to me and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Dr Wong and Coastal Vision.

Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Doctors were very knowledgeable and genuinely cared about your eyes and health. Abit pricey on the glasses even with insurance??

Recently had an eye scare & they were the only people to fit me in the same day within an hour! Doctor & staff were super cool! Then I get to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription & they hit me with a crazy price of $150 for a little bottle of drops! I’m like hold up ain’t no alternative? Lol they said yes for $10! but upon doctor approval so I waited & went back in the morning, went back & the pharmacy said the doctor had not responded yet. I then called the office like wassup yall get my request? They said yes but the doctor was out of town until Monday it being Memorial Day weekend I understood. Needing the drops I decided to just pay the $150 & stop being cheap. I go back to get the prescription & they told me wait because they had put it back, I’m like I just left but ok. An hour later I’m literally on my way back & I get a call from the office like the doctors responded & approved my request for a cheaper alternative. I really appreciated that!

The entire staff at Coastal Vision is phenomenal. I was greeted as soon as walked in and was taken care of immediately. Dr Wang is exceptional and explained everything to me so I could understand them. Ashley that helped me pick my glasses was professional, helpful and delightful. Thank you!!
