Called when he was 30 min away so I was prepared. Set the pod exactly where I wanted it. Took the time to show me how the latches worked. Was kind and courteous.

Regi was extremely kind and took every measure to place our POD safely in a spot that was convenient to unload. Tony, who manages the Chesapeake office was a pleasure to work with. These guys are the best!

Brent, was exceptional, prudish courtesy abs kind as he delivered our PACK RAT CONTAINER at our project site. He throughly survived the area making they're no low hanging wires, that he had adequate clearance on each side to hear the trailer. He explained all factors in the delivery and made sure I knew exactly how to open and close the container.Brent a great person to work with and forward to continually doing business with PACK RATJOHN MCBRIDEPRESIDENTBLACKTREE LLC

Military members beware. Not military friendly and they don’t care. They missed 3 deliveries and after arguing for compensation. They appiled an arbitrary fee to the final payment. Shady company and moving wasn’t made simple. When I called the resolution team, they argued with me and stated a manager would call me back which never happened. Why would I spend another hour to be yelled at by your resolution associate who didn’t resolve anything.

I should have read these reviews before going them. I asked for a quote and got an automated phone call the next day asking for me to call them. Then I got an email from Miami Majors showing a 50% off discount. So I called the number on the email to get that price, it went straight to her line and she didn’t answer. I left a voicemail and was not called back. The next day I called earlier in the day and got to talk to her. She quoted $2241 for a 8 ft container for a long distance move(Va to Nc). This price didn’t include the monthly storage fee or the discount that apparently is only on local moves. I told her I was going to go with Pods because their price was significantly smaller (about half). She said she would reach out to her supervisor to try and get closer to that quote, I just needed to email her it and she would call me back. She never called back. I got a call the next day from someone else asking me to call back to book the move. I called and explained the situation and he put me on hold to get a price from the pricing team. After he got back with $1879 and 1st month rent included I agreed. I was never sent any sort of email with a $ quote. I was given a very quick disclaimer after the call and a lengthy email with terms and conditions. I was charged after my container was sent to the storage facility but no clue when that would be. I was charged more than my quote and after calling it was due to diesel fuel cost and a long distance store container inspection fee. I was never told about these hidden fees but they are apparently in one of the thousands of email I have from this move. The driver called when dropping off the container but was almost an hour later than when he said. I will never go with 1800packrat again. It was constant phone tag, team members not knowing what is going on or about these fees.

Do NOT hire 1800PackRat for your move. This has been one of the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. During the unload, the lift broke, leaving my container hanging in mid-air, at an incline, for 3 days. I was understanding; things happen. I still had to pay the movers for the missed days, but I was kind about it. When they finally fixed the lift, the furniture inside had all slid (because the container was hanging at an incline ) and several pieces were damaged. Again, I was understanding, and we moved when we could. I had bought an additional 50K of insurance so assumed the damaged pieces would be covered. Nope. 1-800-PACK-RAT claimed the damage was "only cosmetic" and refused my very reasonable 3k claim. What is insurance for ???? Moreover, no apology, only rudeness. They are unable to produce the insurance policy I purchased, even though there is a line item on my invoice that I paid for it. RUN THE OTHER WAY. Do not use this company, and if you've already booked them, don't buy the insurance --it's useless. Shady, disreputable, dishonest, disingenuous. Christine--no one from claims has reached out to me. No one is able to produce the insurance policy I purchased. The claims department swindles people and 1-800-PACK-RAT sells fraudulent insurance . Your faulty equipment damaged my furniture and despite pictures of the equipment failure and documentation, no one will take responsibility for it. Horrible customer service .
