Loved this sweet inn. One block from the mall, free off-street private parking, comfy beds and high quality linens. Shower pressure ws strong and lots of hot water. Three course breakfast served in elegant dining room. Beautifully decorated and welcoming staff. Highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer.

What a knockout. Booked a cozy, comfortable, gorgeous room on a whim when I didn't want to drive back from a Friday night concert. The experience was great from the moment I walked through the front door. Enjoyed a warm welcome from Vita, a super comfortable bed, and a stunning breakfast the next morning (props to Chef Johnny). Also, 'twas lovely of proprietor Candace to come by my table to ask about the weekend, etc. Thrilled that I found the place and I'll definitely go back.

The service and quality of rooms at this charming hotel are unparalleled in this area of Charlottesville. All the food and dining you could ask for are within a 2 minute walk, and the beds at this Inn are luxurious. I can see why this hotel has such great reviews, we are so glad we stayed here.

The service here is amazing! The innkeeper and all employees are kind and attentive to everything you may need. The breakfast is also great. One of my favorite parts of the inn is the design elements - each room has its own special charm.

We stayed two nights in the Edward Butler room, and it was fabulous. The innkeepers were attentive, the breakfast both mornings was PHENOMENAL (three delicious courses, incomplete photos included with this review), the entire place and our room was uniquely decorated, and our bathroom was great (whirlpool tub and wonderful shower). My only complaint is that our room was right on top of the front door/common areas, so we could hear EVERYTHING if people were down there talking or when breakfast was being made. I don't know if there's much the Inn can do, it just comes with the territory in these old houses. It wouldn't stop my from staying again.

Wow, where to begin?! Me, my husband and our 11 month old son were in town for my grandfather’s funeral and stayed at the inn. It was hands down the best experience we could’ve hoped for. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and catered to, the food was incredible (I had the spinach and sausage quiche) and our room was a dream. The chef even brought out a plate of fruit for our son! On our departure day, we had a somewhat early flight and didn’t have time to eat breakfast so the chef packed us some of the most delicious raspberry muffins we’ve ever had. The people at the inn truly care and definitely exceeded our expectations. Also, the location is unbeatable. It took us maybe 3 minutes to walk to the downtown mall from our room. We can’t thank y’all enough for your hospitality—we will be staying here every time we’re in Charlottesville!

Husband booked this Inn for a date where the weather would be uncooperative. Candace was able to move our day and we enjoyed 2 lovely days here. We were shown several rooms and given a choice (some had an upgrade), but we chose the one with the large shower instead of the tub/shower combo. Were offered a lovely glass of wine and Pat made the most amazing breakfasts! It was a lovely stay and the Inn was wonderful.Walkability: The Pedestrian Mall is about 2 blocks away.Food & drinks: Candace gave us several recommendations. We liked the Tavern & Grocery very much. I want to try Alley Light sometime, hope I remember where it is. Hamilton, wasn't a big fan.

When we go to stay for a night away, the details are everything, and the Inn at Court Square has absolutely nailed the details! The owners both greeted us and were so welcoming and accommodating. We were a little late for check in, but they still took all the time to show us around, get us a complimentary glass of wine by the fire, and a little snack. We stayed in the Butler room and it was absolutely stunning, comfy bed, and loved the 2 person tub! The breakfast the next morning by their in house chef was delicious. I can't recommend staying here enough, you won't be disappointed!

Not cheap, but totally worth it. The buildings are beautifully restored with very nice antique furniture and decor. A delicious three-course breakfast is included that is prepared by talented chefs. We were celebrating our anniversary and this was the perfect experience.Rooms: Each room is uniquely decorated with beautiful antiques. The huge bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and nice.Nearby activities: Approximately a two block walk from numerous restaurants and bars.Walkability: Easy walk to parks and a walking mall.

The Inn At Court Square is centrally located in Charlottesville and while we had not major problems, it was incredibly over-priced for both the value and accommodation quality. That said, the food at breakfast was some of the best breakfast we have had at an inn or B&B.We paid a 30% seasonally discounted rate of $359 plus taxes for one night in the Susannah Fowler room. Upon arrival, there was Arabic music blaring as we walked into a quaint colonial sitting room and it was apparent the person hired to check us in was either not well trained or well prepared to welcome guests. Her boyfriend had taken up residence on the front couch and was clearly her focus. She offered wine, but then had us go into the kitchen to pull it out of the fridge to pour because she cannot touch the wine bottles. Then she gave us our key and left for the evening. The room itself is fine, but there is no way to control the temperature. As a result, my wife and I were essentially baked to a near slow death overnight with the temperature reaching near 80 degrees. The windows were of no use as they appear to have not been open since the 18th century, and the pancake flat pillows were definitely exemplary of the colonial period, but not conducive to comfort. So while we benefited from some form of dehydrating cleanse, we slept not a wink. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The quiche is exquisitely done and each of the breakfast offerings was incredibly prepared and presented. If I could stay somewhere else and come for the breakfast, that would be ideal. Of all the accommodation offerings in Charlottesville, I'd look long and hard at alternatives before choosing The Inn at Court Square unless you consider what I've described great value for the discounted rate of $359.

My wife and I booked a stay for 12/2/23. We arrived on schedule and were met by the owner, who was wonderful. She was a Very Gracious Hostess, walked us around and gave us some history about the place. Room was awesome, breakfast was Awesome. She even helped find my wife a place to stay for 3 months for travel nursing. Will definitely stay again. If your looking for a weekend get away in Charlottesville, this is your spot!!!!Rooms: Style, Charm, Historical Elegance.Walkability: 2 blocks from shopping and restaurantsFood & drinks: BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. Fresh water, cookies, coffee sat out for guests.
