I absolutely have to share a very positive review about this location in Charlottesville. We are from out of town and familiar with Play It Again Sports in our area. My son arrived on campus as a first year just one week ago and was planning to try out for the club Tennis team. He met on Friday with a couple of new first years to play doubles, and his racket frame broke. He was disappointed!
I contacted this location and the amazing staff and wonderful owner, Troy, offered to deliver a racket to him since we are not local and he does not have a car. I sent an email on Friday night and had a response from Troy within an hour. By Saturday morning at 1, the racket was in my son’s hand And he is now prepared for tomorrow. Troy, thank you!!! You went well above and beyond to help us with this situation and your efforts are so appreciated!! It’s been a big transition week for him, so this was a step in the right direction of trying to get involved and now you have helped him be able to participate tomorrow with his own racket. THANK YOU!!

I must say I love and adore this store and all of their staff. My son has played, baseball, t-ball, basketball, soccer and now football. The staff here are amazing. Every time I come here they always have everything I need. The staff will greet you at the door and they are right on time when you need help. I love coming here… thank you so much Play It Again Sports…see you soon….. oh and by the way this store has everything you need if you or your kids are playing a sport.

I’ve been shopping here for years and have had a positive experience every time. The staff goes out of their way to greet and offer help. Such affordable prices as well! Would definitely recommend this location.

Staff here have been super helpful as I consider how to part with sports stuff and equipment over the past couple of weeks. Our family has shopped here on more than one occasion... it was a great experience from the position of wanting to part with stuff as well. Good work!

Winter sports buyers be warned! As I get into snowboarding, I unfortunately used this store to get new and used gear. Although friendly, I was badly sized with a pair of too large 10.5 boots, resulting in bad snowboarding form I am still trying to undo. This year, I made the mistake of returning, getting a pair of bindings and getting sized with size 9 boots. These boots were painful to use, giving me blisters, and were also defective. Too bad freestyle closed, I would recommend Public Lands to anyone in the market for local winter sports gear.

I had a quick and pleasant sale here! The store had a wide array of winter sports options and baseball related gear. It was also super organized. Definitely sell here before Facebook market or Poshmark
