Person working register was not very personable. Wanted to see size of crickets and she seemed to be afraid of "someone in her space. Won't be returning. Also was on her phone with customers in store.

Walking in here was appalling .
We went to look at the small animals, all the animals bedding looked like it hadn’t been changed in weeks, one rats eye looked really infected. The rats were covered in feces. It was sad. They had a cart in the middle of an isle full of dirty bedding all over it and all over the floor with dirty tools to clean the cages left for the customers viewing . Puddles all over the floor . Go to use the bathroom, no toilet paper, dirty gloves and crickets all over the floor . What a joke.
Unhygienic, and needs someone to come in here and check on this place !

This place was extremely disappointing. I called twice to make sure it was ok if I brought my dog in to get his nails trimmed. Both times they told me yes, I could bring him that afternoon and they would trim his nails. I drove 30 min because I live out in the country and when I got there they were very rude and told me they couldn’t cut his nails, they were completely book and didn’t understand why I was there. When I told them that I called ahead they didn’t care. What a waste of time! If they didn’t have the time they needed to just be honest on the phone and I would have set up an appointment for another day. Never coming back.

Has to be the worst and dirtiest pet store in in Charlottesville , have been there twice the last month, same trash on the floor, no one is ever walking around trying to offer help, dozens of dead fish in tanks and they just leave them stuck to the filter, girl cashier with glasses looking mad at the world, wouldn’t say a word to us , no hello or have a good day

Most of the dubia roach are dead or dying in package and all the crickets are dead it was a Saturday when I was there saleswoman said they get them in middle of the week but they still shouldn't be dead in a few days

I was alittle disappointed in the overall size of the store, however, I didn't look at the whole store.I was in a rush so I asked a young lady that worked there about what I needed.She stopped what she was doing and answered my questions.

Lady would literally not sell me and my son a few goldfish. We wanted to buy 3 goldfish and she asked what size tank...we said 10 gallons with plans to upgrade.. she then pointed out which fish we were allowed to buy instead of goldfish. So we settled for a few tetras... We went down the street to pet supplies plus and they happily sold us some goldfish with no questions. ??♂️ I don't get it...

The staff is very nice and they will price match to online. I went in after adopting a new kitten, and the staff helped me out to pick out the things I needed, including pheromones, to help introduce her to the resident cat. Both our cats use their vet services, and they are equally delightful. I highly recommend them.

They did a wonderful job on my dog he’s a lab/retriever mix with short hair but he sheds a lot. They did a great job with the furminator wash. I can pet him and not have a clump of hair. I will be back
