This dealer is awful. I have a recall on my 2023 (purchased from Malloy) Lightning that will take one or two days to complete and this dealer does not provide loaners. Inexplicable and total disregard for customers. They did say I could sleep in the lounge. Nice.

This is the worst place to buy your car from. The handling is uncomfortable. The employee used to sell us the car with a lot of anger on his face. They were not friendly at all. When buying the car, I discovered a problem with the transmission. I went to them and told them I wanted to return the car. He told me. We do not return anything. If there is a problem, we only fix it. This is illegal, unfair, lies and deceit. Stay away from this deceitful place

I am in the market to buy a new car for a family member so naturally I contacted the dealer to inquire about employee pricing as I work for a Ford dealer out of state. Initially the sales manager was helpful and stated that he would honor the employee pricing but when I emailed back to clarify I can buy the car without any added accessories(such as paint protectant etc.) they ghosted me. That means to me when I ordered the vehicle and it showed up then magically some accessories would have shown up with the car. I contacted a different Ford dealer about 1.5 hours away and they have been the most transparent dealer and responsive unlike Malloy Ford. I understand that it gets busy but when somebody is trying to give your business money(especially because Ford reimburses you guys for the D Plan) then maybe you should help them out a little bit more and not just worry about the money right now only and worry about fostering superior relationships with all the customers contacting you guys.

Was it 1 crooked sales manager or a bait and switch?... you decide or just drive to Richmond Ford west and deal with unquestionable honesty. I sold a car to Malloy. I chose Malloy because of the gentleman that contacted me after I hit the cash offer on KBB (Shannon, you're the man... you should find a better company) was friendly, professional, and not pushy. I went in on a Thursday afternoon and spoke to the salesman Zac ( you did everything right as well thank you!) We did some negotiating after I was handed the printed purchase voucher (looks like check). I was happy with the final price and I asked him to write it on the voucher and he had me sign it. I told Zac that my wife was away on business (out of the country), and as soon as she was awake, I would contact her. If she was good with the deal, I'd be back in the morning. I returned the next morning with the signed voucher in hand. Zac was not available, so I introduced myself to the nearest salesman and gave him the voucher. [THIS IS WHERE IT GETS DIRTY] He took it and walked away. Minutes later, he returned with the message, " The sales manager says there is no way he is paying that much for the car." So I go talk to him, and he is talking to me like I'm a liar... He says to me, Zac is a salesman and has no authority to pay that much. There is no way that was agreed to, the car isn't worth that, etc. He asks, "Who authorized it." All this with a demeaning tone. I told him I'm the customer who received the message. How the hell am I to know who authorized it? I told him to get Zac on the phone and let me talk to him afterward. He spoke with Zac, and apparently, the other sales manager authorized the purchase price. So the arrogant axxhole says to me, "we are going to honor the purchase price, but I shouldn't." He then walks right up to me to explain why he shouldn't. Here is my analysis. He wanted to be the morning meeting hero by saving the dealership money at best. At worst, this was a planned bait and switch to see if I would bite on it. There were 10 other dealers that wanted to purchase the car from me, and I went with the one that treated me the best on the phone. Don't make my mistake. We also had a bad experience with trying to get transmission serviced on our expedition a year ago (rude on the phone and never calling back). We ended up going to Richmond Ford west and had a wonderful experience (3500 dollar service gladly spent to the right dealer). In closing... Malloy Ford will not get a cent from me, and I will share the experience with as many people as possible. My friend was at the dealer for the second part and witnessed the entire shady process. Shame on you, Malloy. If this is not a representation of your dealership, then you should give the rude older sales manager some training. According to some employees I talked to while waiting, this is his typical demeanor, " but he is very good at his job." I'm guessing his job is to maximize profit while ignoring professional ethics.

I called to have work done today and was on hold for 5 minutes only to find out no one was there. I then left a message with no call back. They have charged me for unneeded "issues" when going in for an oil and filter change. Terrible service

i purchased a 2015 ford mustang from malloy ford of Charlottesville. they shipped the car down from Alexandria for me. upon seeing the car i saw the tires were low on tread. 3/32s on the outer shoulder and 4/32s on the inner shoulders of both front tires. Eric was the sales manager at the time. he offered to sell me two tires before i even signed the paper work. not via the sales dept paying for it via a we owe, but me the customer pay for it. the DOT number on the tires indicated theyre from 2015 and rolled off the assembly line with the car. after showing the photos to Eric on how dry rotted they were he finally replaced them.but like Billy mays said but wait theres more!the passenger seat was so loose the whole assembly could be shaken by hand. low and behold the seat bolts were finger loose. brought it up to eric and he got that fixed as well.this is where it gets great. the car had a sticker on the window for 2 months up north that advertised the car as having heated seats. when i went to replace the seat cover because malloy hired someone who over sprayed on my seat belt buckles and left my seats loose. i noticed the seat covers came up as black. but the seats are a milled pebble color...the car came with recaros (all black leather) yet somehow theyre advertising this car with heated seats.their fall back is another company makes the window stickers for them. and that they never advertised it with those options in cville.that stickers fine print apparently covers omissions from that sheet.... omissions would info withheld not falsely advertised.hence the definition of the word....when a company needs to fall back on the fine print cause their sales model is that of Mathilda's father from the movies then you know something's wrongmistakes happen in any industry/business but this many in a row aren't mistakes. they are lack of integrity and work ethic. When I come to a dealer to get copies of my paper work I shouldn't be met with so much hostility for asking to get copy's. Of paperwork they're required to give me if I ask. And keep on file for 5 years. I asked for two papers and had a sales manager attempting to explain omissions to me. I didn't even ask to speak to him. I asked for two papers and had to hear bs about how I lost them. I could lose those papers every week and they still have to keep them on file.

Don't go here for service!!!! They will rob you, steal your money for repairs that you don't need, charge you multiple hours of labor for jobs that take less time. This is the perfect example of the worst dealership in the world.

Awful customer service and terrible service department. Don't trust these people with your car. I called after being stranded by my parents' 2017 Ford Fusion and being forced to have the car towed there, as it was the closest Ford dealership. I received mediocre service that day. They couldn't be bothered to have anyone on staff to assist with getting a loaner or rental under my parents' Ford protection plan, but you can bet they had salesman there! Every question I asked, they didn't know. I literally had to call a different Ford dealership to get answers. I was concerned after that, but I had hoped the service department would be fine. Things only went downhill from there. The car was starting in the parking lot, but wouldn't shift out of park. It would immediately go back to park when trying to shift to drive. There was an error message stating "shift system fault" or something to that effect. When I looked that up both online and in the manual, it said to contact a Ford service center. It appeared that something was going on with the transmission or shifting electronics from what I read. I called my preferred dealership (not Malloy) and they agreed that given the message, it was something that wouldn't be able to be fixed in the parking lot, thus the tow truck. Monday rolled around and Malloy looked at the car. They advised that it was a simple fix: a new battery! I expressed my frustration that a tow truck had to be called for something like that, since I could have jumped the car and avoided all this headache. I expressed my disbelief multiple times that a battery caused the "shift system fault" error. Paul at Malloy insisted that it's common and they see it all the time, and assured me multiple times that it was the issue. I did additional research and found that this can happen, but it's actually rare, not common as he had stated. There's normally something else going on for that error message to appear, but there is a possibility that the low voltage did cause it. Since Paul was so confident that the issue was fixed with a new battery, I took my dad to the dealership to pay and pick the car up. The VERY next day, the same exact thing happened. My parents received the "shift system fault" error. They immediately called me, as they are elderly and I handle a lot of their affairs for them. They also needed me to leave work to come pick them up, since the car was messing up yet again. I immediately called Malloy to inform them that they were incorrect about the battery and to express my frustration that I tried to tell them I didn't believe it was the battery before. Paul didn't even apologize. He said "bring the car back." He didn't care that it wasn't fixed the first time, even after I called to have a conversation with him about why I didn't believe it was the battery. He didn't care that this would involve another tow truck bill. He never even apologized until I told him how livid I was that he couldn't even say sorry for this. Paul also started being petty and spiteful by saying that he won't talk to me because the car isn't in my name. Seriously? What kind of top secret car info is he planning to give out? This was AFTER he called my mother who told him to call me!!! How outrageous is that? I was also transferred to David, who I believe is the service manager. I left a voicemail for him explaining the situation this morning and asked him to call me back asap. I waited all day, but he couldn't be bothered to call me back. I did not have the car towed again to this dealership after all this, and I don't suggest that anyone buy from or use this dealership for service. If you have to use a Ford dealership for anything, Madison Ford is your best bet. Madison Ford didn't even have the car, and they went above and beyond to answer all of my questions about the car itself (the error message), the protection plan, and the logistics of getting it towed. The difference in t

A+ for Glenn Goodrich's Service Department!April 2022.Traveling here in Charlottesville away from home and ran into a fairly significant issue with my F150. Glenn got me in quickly and got me taken care of.Probably the best experience I've had at any dealership. I wish they were all like this!

Beware of price gouging and dishonest dealings! I ordered a new Ford Mach E online. A couple of minutes later a Malloy Ford of Charlottesville salesman called to inform me that the online orders were paused for the next few months, but that the dealership had a Mach E that was close to my online build and noted that the price was 52k. Great. He told me that the cashier was closed but that he would call me in the morning so I could leave a deposit before finalizing the purchase later in the week after I got back into town. The next morning, the salesman informed me that the manager had made a "market adjustment" but had not yet settle on a new price. Subsequently, he told me the price was now 57k, but that since we had already verbally agreed on a price, I could have it for 54.5k. This is no way to do business, IMO. Sorely disappointed.

I highly recommend Malloy Ford. Great experience from the start. Found a truck online and Renee reached out to me and made this a smooth process. Answered all questions I had and sent me pictures of the truck. She came in on her day off so we could look at and test drive it. Eventually ended up buying it the same day. From the minute we got to the dealership we felt very welcomed and comfortable. She let us test drive it as a family. When we got back I had a couple questions and concerns so she grabbed her manager and he worked with us. Financing was easy as well. Friendly staff. Offered us water and coffee while we waited for the paperwork to start. We had a couple questions and another guy stepped in to help us on financing.
