The worst new car dealer that I have ever experienced. I tried to purchase several new Gerrman cars there in the past few months and was completely ignored or insulted. Not sure how they stay in busibess.

Never answer phone for service dept. After 10 min, option to leave phone number for return call. Waited 6 hours after no returned call and service dept closed. Not the 1st time this has happened.

Called to schedule an appointment for my vehicle. It is under warranty and I confirmed it myself via a Volkswagen website. I told them what was going on and as soon as they confirmed it was still under warranty, they avoided taking my vehicle in on a Saturday even when I opted to push the date back so they can make appropriate arrangements. They made excuses for them and the technicians that are staffed on Saturdays are not capable of handing the level of work. How does that speak for your brand and your willingness to provide customer service? Sorry excuse for a service station.

Service is horrible. Stay away for if you are after service. I have owned 10 VWs in 5 states. This is the worst place I have been. The Flow C'Ville service manager refused to explain why they needed to make a repair that another dealers, and VW corporate said should not be necessary. I explained this scenario and several times and asked for for an explanation. The answer was - because the mechanic says so and HE pays the mechanics to go to school (I doubt he pays). The manager is who should get some schooling and for VWs benefit, it should be charm schooling. And if you do end up going there - NEGOTIATE. I asked why it was so expensive to do the repair, the service rep went to this manager, and suddenly the price was $200 cheaper. It makes one wonder why it was expensive in the 1st place - SLEEEEZE!

Extremely unprofessional dealership. They will run your credit and once you are approved they , wait for you to get insurance on the car your leasing/ buying, a deposit check and then tellYou you can pick upYour new car. HOWEVER once you've done all of that when you come to pick it up they change the terms at the last minute. Sales people were professional, but the financing and management was untrustworthy and didn't follow through on what they originally promised. DISHONEST AND UNTRUSTWORTHY WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP, this will end up costing you money, time, and leave you frustrated, I Went to two other dealerships after my experience there and within minutes, I had approval and purchased a new car.

I brought my car in for a recall and to replace security lug bolts with standard which were taken care of fine.I also asked to have them check a tire that was causing a thumping noise as slow speed. The quote I received included:Due to cupping in one tire - replace 2 tires at $566.This would suggest a re-alignment at the the unbelievable price of $300.Transmission service for $372Cabin filter and fuel filter at $207Replace a control arm bushing they found torn for another unbelievable price of $802Plus misc costs bringing total to just under $2400After that shock I took the vehicle to my regular, highly rated service center for a 2nd opinion:The tires did not need replacing as they are in excellent condition with more than 3/4 tread left except for a single small cupping. I rate the resulting noise as a minor inconvenience, certainly not justifying the expense of replacement, as a higher than average per tire cost. They could not find a torn control arm bushing. 3 VW mechanics tried to find it and could not.So tires were rotated and filters replaced. No trans service needed at this time.Total cost $180.I bought 2 cars from Flow and have had good service in the past. But I will never ever return.

My daughter bought a 30000 car paid in full from this company - first they refused to give her the car after they where paid! Treated her like a criminal and refused to take her calls - then after being reported to Volkswagen corporate they finally gave her the car she paid for - but never gave her the title - we have been trying to get help for 4 months now and after getting the runaround are told to try to get it ourselves from the DMV - Horrible company and service do not trust them ! My daughter is a single mother with three children two of them with disabilities, she has had issues with the authorities because she did not have the title these people do not care - the Virginia office is the one who sold her the car - the Winston Salem office are the ones that promised they would send another set of temporary tags until the title came but they never did - the whole purchase has been a nightmare !

I hate that I have to give them 1 star because there is no option to leave 0. My Jetta TDI went into shut-down mode and so unfortunately my regular garage did not have an analyzer that could kick it out of this so I had to take it to a VW dealer that had this analyzer and unfortunately Flow of Charlottesville is the only dealer in town. My car sat on the lot for 5 weeks before they even looked at it and then they said my battery was dead. Really? They then said it was the manifold and once that was fixed it then was the diesel filter and then it was the catalytic converter. I was always the one calling them to check on the status of my car and they ended up taking 4 months to get the job done. Customer service was non-existent. The total price of repair ended up at $6,000 dollars. I also found gas receipts in my car for 2 fill ups which ends up at about 1,000 miles for a TDI so did they take my car on vacation? I feel like I was on an episode of Seinfeld for bad car repair experience!

I made an appointment for service using the handy button on their website, received an email with a confirmation, and drove over to drop my car off the afternoon before the appointment. The service guy told me that they do not use the appointment system that is on their website and that they would not be able to get my car in for at least two weeks. I suggested that the fix their website so this would not happen to other people. He told me that it was not his department so it was not his problem.I picked up my keys and took my car to another autoshop. If the service guy has this attitude why would I imagine that the mechanics have a better sense of quality control or desire to do a good job?

Unfortunately I HAD to leave a star because FLOW DESERVES none, actually I would have left a NEGATIVE star. I had dealt with the app they have on their website to pre-appraise my vehicle and start the process on car. The modern pre thinking is lost on old flow. First, I sent info on the Q7 I was interested in, then did the pre appraisal application. So I should be good, not for this dealership! First it s Saturday afternoon, end of the month, we should be ready to deal. But the Q7 isn't in this state, it's in NC!!! What so I was being deceived all week when I was communicating with dealership. They never once pointed out that the car was in NC(oh that's on the very tiny printing in description). I guess I'm silly to think when I go to Audi Charlottesville website that I would see vehicles that are physically in Charlottesville. I live almost 2hrs away, and did pre appraisal, I was still told I need to bring car in for appraisal. That's just to get you there. I drive 2hrs to be greeted by Brandon, I sloppy, poorly presented salesman, that snickered at the fact that I was selling popcorn at the farmers market. Oh btw Brandon, that popcorn probably makes more guaranteed money a year than you do, and I'm a lot more professional than you. That's way your dealership is empty today, on a Saturday at the end of the month. Did I mention that the desk they sat me at gave a great view of the all the salesmen that weren't with customer(all of them because there were no customers) smoking. So let me remind you that you Need CUSTOMERS we don't need you, I can go else where, and that I did! Stuart, the teenage manager, gave me a ridiculous piece of paper, with numbers on it that where insulting. I got up and left. Bye Bye and have a blessed day

I had a great experience buying a car here - Carson Thompson is a great salesperson. Explained everything clearly and checked to make sure I was understanding. Followed up after the purchase to make sure everything was going well. Highly recommend talking to him if you're thinking about a Volkswagen!

I thought it was my transmission warning light that came on but it ended up being only a driving light that was out. I always took my car to Flow for service but they couldn't see me for 3 weeks even though I was telling them it was my transmission light. I can"t drive it with what I thought was a transmission problem so I took it to airport auto on the recommendation of a friend who has been using them for years. They exceeded my expectations and I will now be doing all my auto service at airport auto

I have been very disappointed in my experience with FLOW Audi in Charlottesville, VA. I've heard wonderful things about the "audi experience" in other towns but am not getting it at all here. 1. Went in to get oil change and inspection. Asked the guy at the front desk to also have them check the driver seat (appeared to be broken). I also told him that I needed four center caps as they had been stolen when we were out of town. 2 hours later, they were finished with my car. Nothing was said about my seat so I asked as I was leaving and he said, "oh, I have to order a part." (was he not going to tell me this?)2. I called a week later as I had heard nothing from them. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes as the lady tried to find out about the seat part. She came back saying it was on back order and we made an appt for me to bring the car in 4 days later. 3. I arrived for the appointment, was given a loaner car (on empty) and told to fill it just to the amount I would be using. Well, how do I know how long I'll have it? I got a call 2 hours later that the audi was ready to be picked up. I drove 35 minutes back to Charlottesville and got the car. Before I drove off, I checked to see if the center caps were on. They were not there. I went back in to ask and waited 5 minutes. He came back to say they didn't fit. I feel they were never ordered....This whole experience has been frustrating. I call BS on the "audi experience."

Took my Volkswagen in for what I thought was a warranty repair on the air conditioning. I got a call saying that the wires leading to the ac compressor had been chewed by a rodent. At whitch time I was quoted over $300 to repair this. I refused the repair because I felt that was to expensive to fix a few wires. I could do this myself in less than an hour. I was then informed that there would be an almost $200 diagnostic fee. This was quite aggravating. So I approved the repair. Under the assumption that the diagnostic fee would come off the bill if i had them fox the issue. When I got a call that my car was ready and then found out that the diagnostic fee was no removed and they wanted me to pay almost $500 for this repair. I asked to speak with the service manager. Who informed me that this was there "policy" . He got verry quiet when I brought up that I had not been informed of the diagnostic fee before it was performed and never approved thos charge. Best he would do is "take half the diagnostic fee off" Not sure hour $50 off the bill was half of $200 either. Needles to say I will never be returning. Scam artists!!!

Used them for service. Had to schedule weeks in advance. Unable to resolve issue and told me that sometimes VWs just make noise. Customer service skills poor with no thought that customers should receive an advisor in the service area not just a transaction to get through so they can get on with their day. Would go to another place before ever going back. Terrible experience.
