This is a cute boutique and I wish we had more shops like it on the Corner. They primarily carry women's clothing but also have fun trinkets and decor in stock. A lot of their items are UVa/Charlottesville themed -- make great gifts for friends! Some of their items can be a bit pricey, but they do have great sales and a wide selection -- I have come in for formal dresses and for oversized tees. I have found the staff very friendly in my experiences here! When I ask questions they are quick to help, and they always say something nice when you leave the dressing rooms in a new outfit. There are finches in the store like other reviews have said, but I think to say that that is unethical is a misconception. The birds have a cage large enough for them to move and fly about in, it is stocked with toys and food. I have seen staff (maybe the owner) interact with the birds while I am shopping, so they are given attention. I have seen no signs of aggression in my many, MANY moments watching the birds while friends browse the store, meaning they are likely well socialized. Overall I think this is a cute place to stop, especially for students already near the Corner.

If I could give 0 star rating I would I went to this store on Feb 3 (Thursday) I was in the area due to my mother having an appt. I walked around and found this cute store (I thought) Until I walked in and I was completely ignored by 4 clerks 3 young females and 1 older female all behind the counter. I continued to pickout a planter in a turtle shape walked around the store and not once was I acknowledged. Then I hear one of the younger females greet someone I looked over and she had greeted a female that had walked in to the store?? I walk to the counter to purchase the turtle and one of the younger female tells the older female this is the last turtle do you want to sell it. Whatt!!!! How rude is that if you dont want to sell something dont have it on the shelf. I will never!!! return to this store as I felt I was discriminated I am a Hispanic/American Citizen and when a white female walked in she was greeted and all the clerks were white females.I cant believe a business is run that way I was a paying customer just like the next customer that walked into your store.

This store gave off homophobic vibes. Also they kept multiple birds in a small cage. Those poor animals have to sit in a dark musty cage all day smelling the excessive amounts of perfume that they spray.

The only reason I’m giving 1 star is because the finches you have in the store are not being taken care of. I’ve never seen such a dirty and unhealthy situation. I walked into your store today and saw the cage, being a parrot owner and love birds in general, I took a closer look at them and It was so upsetting and devastating to see how neglected they are.I was told the birds are the owner’s birds and the employees didn’t know anything about them. Nothing.You either need to take everything out of the cage and start over, clean the cage, buy all new perches etc or put these birds up for adoption.They deserve better than this.

Finch is by far my favorite store in Charlottesville to shop at! Super cute name-brand clothes, fun jewelry, and accessories!! I also love how they can validate the parking lot behind the store.
