No heads up…. No nothing…. No social posts….Only late day of the week and closed without notice. Disappointing to say the least. The inclement weather, was rain. Didn’t want to listen to everyone that had a bad experience here but I guess they are right.
Edit: they did post on Facebook but not until 5:30 and our drive had already begun. Didn’t think rain would send someone home.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am a 21 year old woman and I made the mistake of wearing my street clothes rather than breeches. I was greeted rudely and not taken seriously. The two women were belittling and straight up rude. I was cut off when speaking numerous times. I was spoken to in a condescending tone and greeted with a sneer and a laugh when inquiring about sizing for boots. I mentioned that I had a long drive to and from and was refused sizing during their hours of operation. I too work in customer service and would be fired on the spot if I spoke to paying customers the way I was spoken to today, especially at this price point. Sad that a place I used to be excited about I will never return to.

Brought my granddaughter here for English tall riding boots. Emily was just fantastic in helping to find just the size in that fit perfectly. Friendly, patient and knowledgeable. An excellent experience.

Rude staff. I love Dover usually, but do not appreciate being treated impolitely by staff because I’m not their typical demographic. Unwelcoming greeting, treated like I was lost, and when finally deciding to leave because of uncomfortable environment- an older staff lady made the comment of “use your big boy muscles” when opening the door to leave.Its a shame to be treated so rudely because I’m in street clothes and not decked out in riding attire. Very disappointing from a Dover Saddlery.

I’m not much of horse nut, but when I run into other folks who are involved in the equine industry, I’m usually put off by an air of superiority, disdain and general “uppity” behavior. This is NOT the case at Dover Saddlery. I was met by the nicest woman, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. She answered my questions and was a huge help without making me feel small. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone from novice to expert. Great customer service without any judgement on your skill level or lack thereof, great advice, knowledgeable staff and an overall welcome atmosphere. Five star service.

Not too friendly service from one employee. I called about a product and then drove 1.5 hrs just to find out they did not have the selection as stated prior. Disappointing....hence the three stars because mistakes happen.
