Absolutely terrible. The office hung up on me within one minute after telling me they didn’t work on the model I had and refusing to give any recommendations. They were sarcastic and rude. Do not patronize this place if you value kindness at all.

David Appliance Charlottesville, VA DO NOT buy ANYTHING from this crook. In good faith I purchased a Whirlpool washer/dryer combo from this company in 2021. The washer immediately started to leak from the bottom, water running all the way across my new tile floors. After every load I have been mopping up water! This company attempted to fix the washer twice, but it continued to leak. Ronnie at Davis Appliance stated he would have to "eat" the cost of this machine and replace it. Promised he had ordered it in 2021. After MONTHS AND MONTHS of following up with this company, I continually got the runaround about how the machine had not come in. Ronnie kept using COVID as the excuse for these product issues. I was offered a Maytag with dasher but I didn't buy a Maytag with a dasher. I wanted my set to match as it did when I purchased it. Calling again for months and months, still no machine. I called Ronnie again in the fall of 2022. Ronnie again told me he had no news to tell me and when he did HE WOULD CALL ME. I had to buy a specific drip pan to catch the water that continues to leak out of this machine. When I called Ronnie for the last time on 3/16/2023, he threw this problem at me and told me it was my fault because I had waited so long to call him. When I specifically reminded him he had told me he would call me when he had news, he replied "I can't shit it out." I replied with "That's really professional." He accused me of using profane language with him, which I certainly did not use. This man is a con artist and the worst of liars. He had no intention of honoring the warranty nor replacing this faulty machine. Run, don't walk, away from this poor excuse of a business.

My first instinct is always, go with the local place. Support your community, keep dollars there, all of that. So I've gone with these guys even when it's been a little more expensive or a little more time or whatever. But that has to be reciprocal, they need to look after their customers, and instead these days seem like the ethos is basically, 'another one will be along soon.' We recently had an appliance from them that lasted out of its one year warranty but not more than two years and they were basically like tough luck - no break on a worthless service visit or replacement. I get that stuff happens but you have to take care of your regular customers if you want them to stay that way. So it's at the point where on price and customer service they're just too far behind the Big Box stores and that's a real drag.

Excellent customer service and experience.After my refrigerator died and I started looking to replace it, I looked at the Big Box retailers first. After being told I couldn't get a new refrigerator delivered within 10 days I figured I'd start looking at the locally owned businesses.I'm glad I found Davis Appliances. Found the refrigerator I wanted and they had it delivered and setup the very next day!That's customer service.

I would haave to agree with the 1 & 2 ratings. Will not use Davis Applicance again. The tech was late. Bought a side kick with him that constactly talked. In the house for a told of 10 minutes. Said if would be costly to repair a 5 yr old standing upright freezer. The frost line suggested it has leaked feron. Since the casing is sealed best to consider buying another one. Said these freezer are bulit to only last around 5 yrs before you have problems. Had a tool bag with him. Only pulled out a flash light.Ashed could he repair it now. Said he didn't have the necessary equipment with hi. If he comes back there would be another serivce chagre. He chagred $100.00. I advised him the office told me it was $120.00. He stated he was giving me a discount.I upplugged the freezer for 48 hrs. Plugged it back in works fine.Called the office and asked to speak with management. Advised I was not satified with somone coming out and basicaaly did nothing. Was looking for him to adjust the bill. He said the tech and 15 yrs experience and consider the $100.00 as more than reasonable based on coming out to my location. Advised him I did not ask for a discount. Told him the freezer works fine now. He said smarly well just see how long that lasts.

We just called for our dishwasher. The tech come and find out the problem was the control board, all in less of 5 min, then he give us the invoice of $100 for the consulting . Be aware of those scammers

I was under serious time constraints due to a closing on my property. I dealt with Kenny and they managed to squeeze me in their schedule to inspect the appliance, obtain the part and get it installed by the time I specified. Thanks to Dave, the installer, as well!

Horrible customer service. I made an appointment to have a washer/dryer combo diagnosed. They charged me $100 just to show up. The tech did NOTHING but confirm that it wasn't working. Didn't pull out so much as a screwdriver, was there less than 5 minutes. Left a list of functioning parts that may or may not have been the problem that I could have googled myself. I went by the office and was very reasonable explaining my concerns. The gentleman I spoke with was very condescending and acted like I was wasting his time. He took my number and said I'd get a call either from him or the tech who came out. I never heard back from them. They basically stole my money. I had bought appliances there before and always recommended them because I believe in supporting local businesses. That ends today. I'll go out of my way to tell anyone that they are a shoddy business who doesn't deserve the support of the community.

Davis helped repair an expensive convection microwave. They came and picked it up, repaired it and installed it back. Super professional and reasonable.
