I changed carriers 6 months ago and had a $35 credit, I have called 3 times and still can't get a refund. Plus the service was not good to begin with.

Without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. I made multiple calls to shut down service and to this day months later they say it is still open. This is after returning the equipment, reconciling the account incorporating a $545 double payment I gave them in error and never recieving the credit they said was coming in the mail months later. This is for my business. I had them at home and our landline was out for months with no access to a support person... The internet was on again off again and slow for $200 per month and when I switched to Xfinity they didn't release my phone number for over three weeks to the extent that I had to get a new phone number... Horrible, criminal in fact... Never ever use them!!!!

SUCKS!!!!! We needed an additional phone for our elderly parents. CenturyLink is the only game in town now for landlines. Most of their customers are elderly. They were a NO SHOW for 2 appointments and never called me! We waited a whole day on two separate occasions from 8am to 5pm for the technician and he never showed nor called!! When we called CenturyLink, it took 3 HOURS to be transferred. AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME!! Don't even bother! I wish I thought to look on Yelp before even giving them my time. I see why they only have ONE star!! The unfortunate part is how this is impacting elderly people who need a reliable phone service. Ugh!!

Zero stars if I could. Was 35 minutes into *two* chat sessions and they both abruptly close. Session #3 of course has me repeating EVERYTHING I typed to the first two people. Person #2 was scheduling a tech visit when the chat crapped out. Person #3 said the problem was our fault that we didn't get a new modem when the last tech to visit suggested "that could be a fix in the future." Internet goes out weekly, often for hours at a time. I can't believe we're stuck with this absolute junk company. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!

Would give 0 if possible. Worst internet I've had since dial up days. Constant outages. Absurd to have this many problems with internet in 2021. They're too cheap to add fiber in our area and they don't want to give up their little mini monopoly. So much for anti trust laws.

SO HORRIBLE. I have never dealt with such bad customer service. Completely incompetent. I had the internet install scheduled 4 times over the course of 3 weeks, and still ended up with no internet. And I work remotely from home so this has really made it difficult to get my work done. The first time the tech couldn't find something so left. The other three times they just didn't show up. I live in a rural area so there's not a lot of options but ended up going with a hotspot instead because this company is just so terribly bad.

Messaged customer service to ask why my internet speed is 0.75 Mbps, and to also ask when fiber is going to be put in my area (boxes and pipes for it were laid in my neighborhood over a month ago). Today is day 6 and they never addresses my question. They even closed the conversation and sent me an email asking to "rate your experience with one of our support reps" pathetic at best. Support rep Elizabeth...... I really wish I could give less than 1 star.

DO NOT USE. How is this an acceptable business practice? Repair team never showed up to 5 different appointments, help desk was unable to assist beyond “instructions for restarting the router”. Billed monthly for phone and internet but neither service has ever worked or been activate from the CenturyLink side.Would advise you to save yourself the CenturyLink headache and look for an alternative ISP in the area.

They are the worst. Two scheduled repair visits have now been no show. The texting is a joke and doesn't work. We haven't had internet for 3 weeks now. I hate them.

? Century Link's score is 1.2 stars Total. This is a deeply dysfunctional "business". The online interface to straighten out and pay my final bill is flat-out broken in multiple places. Also not working are their phone recordings, website, and methods to even access their "customer service." After searching online I could find no storefront to return the modem-router and pay the final bill. Difficult to resolve issues they direct you to Twitter DM involving days of back and forth with different people. When you return the modem be sure to keep the UPS receipt as proof. It took me *multiple times*, including phone calls and Twitter DM-ing to keep proving I sent it back to receive my credit of over $100. When you send it and it is entered into the UPS system why do they not like functioning companies acknowledge right then with an automatic email you have done your part, they have (will) received it and after a quick examination of it send you the check?Century Link: Please tell your side of the story. Thank you.

Internet outage for the past 2 days, was told yesterday it would be fixed by "end of day". Today, still out, and no estimate given. Speed has slowed significantly over past several months, usually 1 meg or less now. Takes forever to get to a person online or by phone,, and they usually have no real answer. CenturyLink shows no evidence of valuing residential customers.

Very bad service. It is hard to get hold of anyone for service and they keep changing service dates with no reason. I am not sure who the CEO of century link is but he/she is running it very poorly.

Zero stars deserved. I can't get anyone to help over the phone. I've taken 4 days off work because all they will provide is a date and sometime between 8-5 for service calls. They also will not contact you on the day of the appointment for updates. Furthermore they will canel your appt days ahead of time and not contact you to let you know it's canceled (thanks for taking another day off work)

Had an appointment today for internet installment. I did not expect how late the technician is. I call customer service and I also did not expect most of people working there have an heavy accent. They were very helpful, I feel bad for them because they were trying their best to provide me with information the best as they could. I encourage CenturyLink to maybe provide them a program to further train them to advance their English to ensure quality customer service. I won't lie, it was extremely hard for me to communicate with customer service in call just because it was hard for me to understand what they were talking about. Luckily I was in no rush and slowly work with them to resolve the problem.Aside from that I am still very upset that CenturyLink does not give me any confirmation about what will be happening. Customer service told me I am supposed to receive email or a call from the local CenturyLink, but I got nothing. Everything seems to be resolving since the customer service people called the technician and ask them about the situation. Once everything is sort out I hope I will get the right service I paid for. Had CenturyLink in Washington State before, I had no problem with them there. For some reason it was a pain to get everything set up in Virginia, I do encourage the company to improve their way of operation to ensure quality services so it won't be inconvenient for both party.

Worst experience I have ever had. Called to schedule new service hookup with my own equipment they said I had to have a tech come out. Appointment was scheduled for 23 days out!! Guess what Appointment day no call no show still another day gone by nothing. I call and am told I "will have my service today" still nothing!!! Absolutely disgusted ? unfortunately I don't have many choices where I'm located if you do don't bother with CenturyLink they are God awful.
