The place is NOT very welcoming , employs the look not happy , and is dirty, flors with stains , outside the garden is not keep in good condition. Not volunteers to help you. A few cats , and not many dogs , we left sad.
And we asking are self where are the 10 millions dollars in one donation went? No way they spend in a few years that amount.
Go and see for your self’s. And after ,post your comments . Good luck .

I love the staff here! I love that they are a no-kill facility and will transport animals in from kill facilities! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated! Please volunteer! Please donate! Please foster!

Horrible and cruel. This place CALLED ME about adopting a rare breed dog like we recently lost. Knowing their policy I called every day for over a week to ask if he had been neutered yet. Yesterday, the answer was no he had not and they weren’t sure when it would happen. I called today and he had been adopted right out from under me. Apparently he was neutered after I called and placed for adoption the next morning. Had I known, I would have been there when the doors opened. I had an approved application on the dog and THEY CALLED ME to see if I wanted him so I made all the necessary preparations to get him as soon as he was available. And then they gave him to somebody else. I wasn’t even asking them to hold him or go against their policies. What a bunch of cruel BS. I lost my soul dog and was finally ready for another one and they take it away from me too. I’m absolutely heartbroken. Shame on you guys for doing this to people.

I just finished a 12 week foster of 4 new born kittens and their Mama. What a wonderful experience. The foster team was so supportive and helped make the process easy and fun. Im part of the CASPCA family now.❤️

I had recently found a stray cat near the mall in Charlottesville. I called SPCA multiple times to see if I could take the cat there, no one answered any of my calls. To include, I did call while they were still open. It’s sad that this is a place whose job is to rescue animals and can’t even answer or return any calls. Overall, my experience with the SPCA answering phone calls has been very poor. I think that management should really look into their staff picking up phone calls.

Great staff. We had our dog spayed, and they were very professional and let us know the procedure. They answered all our questions.

It was an excellent rescue, a kitten in bad condition came to my balcony asking for help, I took him to the SPCA, they were very kind, he was very affectionate but I couldn't stay with him. I have three kittens and they growled at him. It was very hard to leave him but maybe he will find a home that they will give him. much love first God. ❤️
