Called one week ago for service record history on a BMW I purchased. Was told the records would be emailed to me that afternoon, great. A week went by and I was following up with empty promises. One week later, the service advisor informed me that they wouldn't email me the records or let me know what was preformed to my car since the records went into the previous owners ownership. I wasn't asking for previous owner information (even though I had it on older receipts), but just history. Seems that they are not interested in helping someone unless they are spending money with them, and despite the vehicle coming in over 40 times with this dealership. Unfortunate , and the worst experience ive had with a BMW dealership in the country.

Bmw of Charlottesville was the only place with the used vehicle that I wanted. But, they were 700 miles away from me. I decided to purchase sight unseen, which is normally an anxiety inducing experience.David was extremely honest, and transparent making the process a breeze. The car was exactly as described, if not better. There was no pressure, and David went out of his way to accommodate me from across the country.

I had the best experience with Stu and his team! I'm a new car buyer so have little to no experience with it and they were so patience and helpful throughout the process and helped me find my dream car at a great price.

The service department prices are crazy expensive compared to other local shops doing same tasks. They made some mistakes too but eventually they made it right and heavily discounted our bill. They were appologetic about the whole thing.

Do not use this location if you have a BMW. My car was there for a month for coding issue, a vibration in the wheels, and to identify a water leak. To make a long and painful story short, they only recoded my back hatch to function properly and everything else was a runaround and was never truly addressed. I have text messages back and forth to prove the absolute unprofessionalism of this location. I reached out to the owner of Flow Auto Group on LinkedIn who then sent my message to the GM at BMW Charlottesville, someone by the name of Stu Drake. Now, to be transparent, after finally getting my vehicle back, BMW did not charge me for re-coding and supposedly road balancing my tires...even though the vibration is still there. Stu called me and wanted to discuss the issue and I explained what happened, he apologized and asked if I still needed service for my vehicle. Of course, I told him yes, I still need to have the issues addressed. Stu stated someone would call me to set the appointment. Well, that was sometime in November and once again, I've heard nothing from them. Now, it gets much worse. When I got my vehicle back, I immediately noticed some anomalies in the vehicle. One, my sunroof stopped working. Next, I found a piece of cloth or rag in my vehicle that was shredded or had been torn apart. I found pieces of it under the hood as well. Then, I noticed what looked like mouse droppings in my back seat. We called the exterminator to come out and help what we believed were mice. Turns out they were not mice, they were rats. We assess that the month that my BMW sat outside of the BMW service department in Charlottesville that rats infested my vehicle and was living in a hollow well behind the engine. After discovery I noticed the rats were chewing components of my vehicle near the electronic modules in the back left and back right of the vehicle. We live in a very rural area and we have NEVER seen rats out here much less have them in our vehicles. Now, the rats have started damaging two other vehicles we have at my home. It’s one heck of a coincidence that my vehicle has been sitting outside on Pantops in Charlottesville for almost a month and now I have a rat infestation in my BMW that we are currently contending with. Do I know 100% where they came from, no. However, this was not an issue prior to leaving my vehicle at the service department at BMW Charlottesville.I would have never expected a BMW dealership to be so unprofessional. I can only speculate that it is just plain incompetence or there is some contempt due to me being an active-duty soldier in the US Army. My advice is if you go in there with your vehicle, make sure you get detailed timelines on getting your vehicle back and DO NOT be passive as this could happen to you too.Response to comment by Mr. Drake. Mr. Drake, I sent you an email and left a voicemail 2 days ago.

Stu Drake was great. I wanted a new truck and he referred me to Flow Honda where Amonte’ and Robert did a fantastic job with my New Ridgeline. My entire experience with both Flow dealerships was perfectTommy

My daughter had to drop her Mini Cooper off because it overheated. They diagnosed it as a coolant leak and also advised me that we needed to repair and replace the brake rotors and pads. I had just replaced the brakes less than two months before. I took the car to another location and got a second opinion on the brakes and rotors and was informed that they were fine and did not to be repaired. Based on this experience, I would not choose to use this facility for future repairs.

We purchased our vehicle here a few years ago from Rick and Malik. They are very kind, patient and knowledgeable. Now we are looking for a newer vehicle and working with Dante who is just as amazing as the other two. We no longer live in Virginia but will always use the Charlottesville BMW as our go to dealership no matter how far the drive.

I took my car to this place for service and came out of there with a check engine light. I noted this before I left, and they took it back and they diagnosed it to be catalytic converter. O2 sensors. I believe they messed it while servicing the car. They stated that they did not have the part and it had to come from Germany and would take more than two weeks. They suggested that I could use the car with the light on and it was not a great deal! They promised to call me within an hour to see if we could split the bill to fix it but they never did. I am currently looking for another dealership to fix their mess!

I just got a great experience with BMW of Charlottesville. My battery died in my car a mile from the dealership and I asked sales staff for help. Philip Marx stopped what he was doing, went to my car with me in his car, jumped it and saved my day right away. He was so nice so that I came back the same day to talk to him on the possible car upgrade. He and Anton Kulpy are so knowledgeable in BMW cars, they explained me everything on the new model, features and much more! If my wife was here I could have got a new car just here! Another great experience with BMW!Thank you so much!!!Happy BMW owner since last century,Marat

Im pretty sure I experienced racism at the service department when i took my car there for a oil change. The service adviser acted like he was bothered that i was asking questions and i called to speak to a manager and she was acting the same way.

I wanted to test drive the M340I, so I spoke with one of their consultants and had an appointment for 5 PM, His name was Sky, and he was very helpful and answered all of my questions. But when I went to the dealership wasn't the same experience. I walked in and waited around for 10 minutes, there was a lady sitting on a desk playing with her phone not sure if she was the greater or not, I walked around the cars nobody even said Hello..... I even had an appointment. I went to one of the salesmen introduced myself and I told him that I am there to test drive the m340i, I was hoping he would show me the car first or possibly do a test drive, and his first response was. Are you looking to purchase it? Hungry for commission. That's definitely how you start a conversation with a customer, then I asked if the test drive can be extended to 45 min instead of 30 since the traffic is horrible in Pantops and I wanted to have more time to drive the car and check everything out, instead of saying let me talk to my manager and see what we can do, his response was we can't. Why do you need 45 min to test drive a car? Eventually, he went to his manager but at that point I was interested anymore. I am a BMW owner which sucks being treated like this from a company that I have purchased my car from. I am sure If I were going to purchase the car, they would've waited for me with flowers and a red carpet.

My vehicle has been at this location for 2 weeks for a waterpump replacement and here we are, day 15 of being at the charlottesville location and the car hasnt even been touched yet! I have been out of work pleading with my job since im not able to work and they wont even put me in a loaner vehicle even when my car was suppose to be done a week ago! Unbelievable. I am new to owning a BMW and this has been the worst experience EVER! If i could give a 0 star… i would

The service agent was amazing, I had mg my coolant filled when I was in a pinch on money, and it was giving a dangerous error. I am extremely grateful when dealerships get a bad rap about prices on the simplest of things.
