I stumbled upon the store by accident and I am truly glad I did. The store has such a phenomenal collection of high quality unique vintage pieces that I haven't seen outside of New York City. If you want something unique and beautiful this is definitely the place!

I got the most delightful 1950s Tea Hat here. It' perfect for a tea party, church, or a derby race. There are so many fun things to try on and look at here.The staff are very kind and allow you to try on the items. It's a bit pricey, but vintage can be sometimes. It's a tiny space, cramped with vintage in every corner (and I mean this in the best way possible)! I really loved trying on things from the past and dreaming about the item's previous life. Worth a stop when in downtown Charlottesville. I mean what a great name for a store! Why wouldn't you stop by?

This little shop takes you back in time! From its unique curated collection down to the classic oldie tunes played the overall vibe is great! You are greeted with a smile by their friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to go that extra mile. Arsenic and Old Lace is the definition of small business charm.

this store is AMAZING! it was my boyfriend & I’s first time and wow, we were amazed. there’s a huge selection of vintage clothing, shoes, and home decor, with the best 60s and 70s stuff. the owner is very friendly and the store is welcoming. we will definitely be returning!

Love this shop! There is something for everyone. New (to you!) artwork/decor to freshen up a tired room or a sad home office space, vintage and retro clothing, smancy clothing, this place has it all!Could happily spend hours there and still see something that I missed every time I turned around!Support local businesses and explore this gem, you will not be disappointed!

What a great find. Lots to look through but there are definitely gems of you take the time to look. She had several pairs of Frye boots in fantastic condition at great prices.
