Beautiful little spot close to Richmond. Impromptu overnight trip to this little tucked away secret on the Chickahominy River. It is neat, clean, and the pool very clear! The Blue Heron Restaurant serves good food and is situated on the river with beautiful views! My only complaint is the noise and rowdy crew with one drunk man (making suggestive remarks to me in front of my husband), and out of control kids in the pool breaking all the rules with parents who didn’t supervise. My husband and I are in our early 60’s and stuck out like a sore thumb. It was an interesting adventure but more for the young I feel!! We will probably not go back as the noise and rowdy atmosphere isn’t for us!! We like peace and quiet on the rival!!
Food & drinks: The Blue Heron Restaurant is pretty good and great views! I was impressed with the restaurant!!

This is the 2nd time we have been there and our 1st holiday. We love it! The first time we stayed there our room looked brand new and fresh and this time a little used and not as clean but ok for us and our dog. The keurig had been used and not cleaned and when we tried to use it it did not work. With that being said we would absolutely go back again!

The atmosphere outside is nice. Nice campground and marina. The hotel itself is subpar. The door to the room didn't close all the way, so it let's in light, sound, etc. Had dog food on the floor in my room, so clearly isn't properly swept/mopped between customers. The toilet is so close to the wall that you have to sit sideways to use it. If you go here, your GPS isn't lying, it's about 20 miles deep into the woods. You'll know you're heading in the right direction when you see more deer than humans. The only thing you'll pass besides plantations is a church. Customer service was neither rude nor friendly. It's quiet while everybody is sleeping, but noisy all day.

Poor upkeep,dog park unkept,some trailer sites quite messy hard to call it a resort. Office not open on regular basis. Marina is nice but boats look old and dirty, wonder if anyone ever used them Needs some updates and sprucing up

Convenient and clean. Acknowledge with it being winter that this is really more of their off season, but the room was extremely clean and affordable. The staff were very friendly at the bar/restaurant and the grounds were super clean. The fire pit area at night under the stars is beautiful as well. This is also likely the most pet friendly place I've ever stayed in. If you are trying to stay in a place that's going to get you away from the "hustle and bustle" and relax, then this is it. Just an all around positive experience that I will be taking in again. Thank you for a great time.

It is great for RV-ing, camping, and boating, but the hotel satisfaction is debatable. The rooms are pet friendly and smell like it. Rooms are very small and appear clean for the most part. However, the floor in room 106 appeared very stained and suspect. The staff was friendly and tried to assure that the concrete floor had been thoroughly scrubbed. I could not get comfortable and checked out a day early.

Interesting mix - RV park/small hotel/restaurant/marina - boat ramp on property - clean and the restaurant is good. Just here for a little r&r. Nice clean rooms.

Window blinds did not go all the way across. So it left it open to peeping toms. Other then that it was vary nice.
