I was in Winchester VA, found a car I wanted to buy in Baltimore. Made an appointment to get a hitch put on and a full size car trailer rental for 7 am the next morning (Today). By 7:30 I was on the road and rolling with the hitch installed and trailer attached. One of the ratchet straps was shorter on one side and luckily I had spares but that personally doesn't take away from the absolutely excellent service that I received this morning. I would HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone in the area or passing through. My experience with uhaul in the past have not been very professional but after today's experience my faith has been completely restored.

Hitch install was a comedy of errors. First they ordered the wrong part, so after waiting for an hour at my appointment time, they said I had to come back in two weeks.At the second appointment they got it done quickly, but with two separate wiring errors that would have been easy to fix it they had bothered to test their work- the left trailer turn signal was not hooked up, and on the right side, the trailer blinker worked but the actual light in the rear of my car had been detached, so that I didn't have a right turn indicator at all.I'm not a car guy but I tracked down the loose connections and fixed them myself because that was faster and more convenient than waiting for them to do it.I don't even really blame the installer. He seemed to know his stuff when I talked to him. But the whole place was understaffed and busy. Everyone there is constantly being interrupted by coworkers and other customers. That kind of atmosphere pretty much ensures that careless mistakes will happen and customer service will suffer.

Selina was awesome! The entire staff has been amazing each time. Will use them always even though there are several closer to me, it’s worth the extra few minutes drive. Thank you

Brought my 2017 Acura RDX to get a trailer hitch installed. They claimed they couldn't do the job due to rust (huh?) Brought it into the dealer he said no the rust is not an issue. What is an issue is Uhaul broke off all of the bolts welded to the frame. They even left a detached bolt (the dealer was next door). Couldn't have used the dealer cause needed it done sooner and Uhaul said they had the parts. Shady shady shady place!

Poor customer service especially from the higher ups!!I rented a van on Thursday 06/29 and dropped it off around 10.30Pm. The place will charge you an extra $20 for drop off after 7PM!!Here’s my issue with the place, the doors of the van locked me out after dropping the keys off in the slot before I was able to get my belongings.I called and texted customer service support at 6.30AM to explain the situation then called the store at 7.05AM knowing that they open at 7 but was put on hold for over 10 minutes before I hung up then someone called me at 7.26AM while my phone was on do not disturb and I have spam blockers I saw the missed call 13 minutes later so I called the store back and told them that I have belongings still in the van and that I wasn’t able to retrieve them so the answer was we have it till the end of the day and if they aren’t picked up by end of business day today we’ll dispose of them!Then got a text few minutes after that saying that I’ll be charged an extra $25 in cleaning fees for the 2 bags that I forgot But the answer was we called you and we were hung up on so you’ve been charged and the sales is closed for now and we can’t refund you. I replied back to the text explaining the situation and got a text back saying everything is ok and they have my bags.I do appreciate the employees having my stuff and nothing missing but a manager or DM should have contacted me and offered a refund after I sent 2 emails to HQ but no one even bothered to contact me.It’s their loss because I’ll need to rent vehicles for a couple more times for my move and they lost my business!

In short "poor customer service".If you are renting here, before leaving the premises with the vehicle:1. Make sure the Odometer reading is what's mentioned in the Contract2. Also make sure the Fuel level recorded in the Contract is same in the vehicleDetailed review follows:Not sure the staff here were not given any incentive or performance bonus in the previous year, they are not interested at all to deal with Customers. They are just chit-chatting while attending Customers. The actual Fuel level in the rented vehicle is lower than what's recorded in the Contract, even after letting them know they are not ready to help fix the Contract rather they want the Customer to take Pictures of it and upload to their servers, in case that upload fails for any reason they will charge you for the Gas which you didn't use at all. I wish the management automates everything and show the door to the staff here who are not at all customer focused.

What rude employees I rented a uhaul from them I had for 3 weeks picked up the 2nd of April extended the 12th for an additional two weeks this woman calls me today named rose and says there calling the police like what are you for real I then call corporate they connect me with rose and she said well I was told to say that and have no apologies just more attitude. What a shame after I paid 800 for 3 weeks

Scheduled an appointment to get a hitch installed on my vehicle for a bike rack. Went in today and they told me they were 4 hours behind. I asked nicely why they wouldn’t just call me and tell me that and was met with a ton of rudeness and attitude.If their customer service and basic scheduling is any reflection of their work, I would highly recommend not letting them touch your vehicle.

Like some of the other hitch install reviews, I had issues at this location. Delayed arrival of incorrect parts from corporate and less than ideal communication from the store.They did finally install my hitch in a good manner and the staff was friendly and tried to help resolve issues like forgetting things, not properly closing the hood latch, etc.Overall though the staff there seemed to want to help and do a good job.

Very friendly and by the book on all the rules. That's okay. That's what they're supposed to do. Would use this facility again when needed.
