Best part of the visit was the Deep sky in I-Max talked all about the discovery of the James Webb Telescope ? and all the galaxy that came back. Plus the largest plane on hand Air France (con cord)

The museum was 5/5 - an incredible collection, perfectly restored except for the bits still being restored, and you can get amazing close-up views of it all. And free to boot. We did the Deep Sky iMax and that was great too.However...we took public transit out there and that is another thing, it takes like 1.5 hours each way from l'Enfant Plaza. On the silver line, don't take the train all the way to Dulles, get off at Innovation Centre one stop before - the 983 bus goes from Dulles right back to Innovation Centre before going to Udvar-Hazy. Beware that on some days that 983 is only every hour. Lack of decent transit connections is the only issue we had with this otherwise amazing museum - shuttle from Innovation Centre maybe??

My husband and son really enjoyed this museum. Personally I liked it more than the DC one. More variety. We were surprised by the number and variety of aircraft. It is not necessary to buy tickets.Parking $15.

For me as a plane lover this is my favorite museum. I just love the historic planes. You can spend around two hours exploring the exhibits. The Space Shuttle Discovery is one if the highlights. There is also a flight simulator (you have to buy a separate ticket), a cafe and a gift shop. Admission is free and there were no waiting lines. The only downside is the $15 parking ticket.

It is located in 7 Hectares area and started in the year 1999. There is good collection and display of different kinds of air crafts well arranged at different levels for better visibility all-round. There is a watch tower in the premises from which landings of flights of Washington DC airport. The collection includes Boeing B-29 which dropped first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, Space shuttle Discovery and Gemini4 capsule and many more. Must visit place. There is ample parking.

Awesome exhibits and their annual open house is very informative. Shake Shack has replaced McDonald's. Only one of a handful of places to see a retired space shuttle up close. Can be very crowded at times. Very large parking lot, so you can always find parking but you might have to park farther out and walk more. Note the museum is free but parking is not.

Although it was a very busy weekend, there was enough parking and there was no line. It cost $15 for parking. The museum is very big and has so many amazing airplanes and spaceships. We enjoyed the WW2 section. The airplanes are well kept. Free tour guides were provided. You need a ticket to get up to the tower. The only restaurant inside is Shake Shack and the line was very long during meal time. Better eating outside.

On the way out today, there was a booth with two old men giving away free glasses to protect the eyes from solar radiation when viewing the solar eclipse that will take place on April 8th. So my brother and I decided to get one. I was on my phone, so I did not really pay attention when we were on the line. But when it was me and my brothers turn, the man told us they were giving 1 glass only per family. Okay, no biggie. We received one. My brother went to the restroom because it was going to be a long drive for us, so I waited on him. I stand adjacent to the glass booth with my family. Then, these men at the booth gave glasses to both couples behind us, then to all family members behind them. I observed and looked at my surroundings like everyone had their own. Okay, if it was really 1 glass per family and yet they decided to give more to some family that they only like. Then, my conclusion would be that they are favoring skin and ethnicity. To be honest, the glasses are not the issue here; I can buy my own, and I might probably not need them as I will be at work the whole day anyway. It is so sad to feel that a minority like us living in this country/ generation can still experience discrimination. What I regret earlier is that I let it pass by and decided to just bite my tongue. It's a shame because this museum is very memorable for my family, as we brought my daughter here on the first week she started walking, and we continued to visit here until this day. I am not sure if we will come back anytime soon. I just do not like the favoritism that the staff gives to the visitors.

Great museum! Even if there is a line outside when it first opens, it moves really fast. Seeing the discovery was so cool. Great big open space in the hanger so you don’t feel suffocated even if it is busy
