I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Honda of Chantilly. In November 2023, I brought my 2020 Honda Insight to their service department because my local mechanic noticed a possible transmission leak during an oil change. Since my car was still under the powertrain warranty, I expected them to address the issue seriously.
Instead, they dismissed the leak, suggesting it might just be manufacturer grease, and simply cleaned the area. They told me to come back in a week, clearly aware that the leak was minor and slow but did nothing to actually fix it.
Over the next year, the leak continued, though it was slow. Recently, the issue escalated, and I noticed a large leak while getting another oil change. When I returned to Honda of Chantilly with video evidence and photos, they again cleaned the area, sprayed it with a temporary sealant, and dismissed the issue, telling me to return in a week.
It’s clear they’re trying to mask the problem until my warranty expires so that I’ll be stuck with the repair bill. This practice is not only unethical but also unsafe. I’ve taken my car to another Honda dealership to document the sealant they used and gather evidence for a potential lawsuit. I’ll also be reporting this to the Attorney General.
Honda of Chantilly has lost my trust completely. Their lack of integrity and professionalism is shocking, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid their service department. They seem more interested in avoiding warranty repairs than in actually helping their customers.

I had the very good fortune to work with Joe Downey to purchase, and Rebecca Cornelius to finance, a nearly new vehicle. Both were consummately professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The process was painless. At not one moment did I feel any pressure. I will seek both of them out specifically in the future (if they haven’t already been promoted out of their roles, which they probably will be).
Part of the success of the process is also down to you as a purchaser. Knowing everything you need to know—doing vehicle comps, running your own credit, reconfirming stock availability—is going to contribute to your success at any dealership.
I think I have found my new “relationship” dealer.
Cannot recommend the purchasing experience here more highly.

They have the worst after sell service, they just try to rob your money and would tell you any kind of lie to get your money

There seems to be a lack of professionalism in the service advisors with the customers. I brought in my 2014 Civic here for new break pads and rotors resurfaced. The advisor, Jae Change, documented the service on his iPad, but failed to inform me about the brake service special that he added on the quote. I didn't find out until AFTER the job was done and I wanted to use the Labor Day special of 20% off on all service work when it was time to pay. It would be nice to know and COMMUNICATE about this ahead of time with everything. On the customer facing end, all I was told was the "price estimate of $414, and will give a call back if the rotors are unable to be resurfaced." It would be really nice if the advisor gave me a copy of the estimate with a piece of paper, or an email before I left the site to get the job done. I got nothing.
When I got a call from the service department that my car was ready, I walked to the cashier to pay and asked if I can use the 20% coupon. Thats when the lady told me she couldn't do that on her end and that I needed to speak to Jae directly. When I spoke to Jae asking if I can use the 20% off Labor Day special, he told me he already applied the "Brake Service Special." In my head, I'm thinking okay, but can you tell me more? Like, is it a better deal to use the brake service special or the 20% off? He just gave me a blank look as if I didn't understand him the first time. After discussing, he said that the brake special was the better deal. Clearly, there is a lack of communication and professionalism with the customers. I felt like I was treated as a number here, rather than a person.
1/5 on professionalism.
3/5 on communication.
4/5 on customer awareness.
5/5 on quality of work* (lets hope this stays true as I have read from other reviews being different.)

Honda of Chantilly has fallen off so bad since 2020 and 2021. Back when I had my 2020 Honda Fit, I used to go to them all the time and they were a dream to go to. Now, all of that has gone to crap. Lines for servicing are long, wait times to even get seen by a technician while waiting in the service line is incoherently frustrating. I even had a technician tell me that they were going to help me once they finish up the invoice for another customer and after 20 minutes, he was just twiddling his thumbs, I had to go up to him to remind him that he said he would help me. Additionally, they screwed me all the way up when I brought my 2005 Honda Accord in for service. They didn't put the engine mounts on correctly, resulting in more time lost as I had to return to the dealership a few days after retrieving my car. My mom even came here. Now she and I vow to never step foot into Honda of Chantilly again and we will NEVER get our cars serviced by them ever again. If people are contemplating getting their cars serviced here, please don't do it. You will save yourself a lot of time, money, and frustration. Please find somewhere else to service your car - I really do beg you. Please don't waste your time here. It's seriously not worth it.
P.S. - I would rate them one star but I decided to give them two since they were such a pleasure to work with back in 2020.

Went to multiple dealerships before Chantilly Honda. All were deceptive with pricing and unreasonably slow. Chantilly actually told us what we would pay before showing up and it was the actual price we walked out the door with. Would highly reccomend.
