“If you’re looking for a furniture store that has a carefully curated selection of high quality leather sofas, this is the perfect place.They carried well known brands that are difficult to find in store, and many of their offerings are customizable. The staff is friendly and thankfully doesn’t hover. Because I have cats and don’t know how they react to leather, I opted to have a trial period with a cheaper sofa first. However, I will be coming back to purchase once I confirm my cats leave leather alone!”

If your looking for that sort of thing this is the place for you. It was also fairly well organized compared to other home goods I’ve visited.”

“The woman who make's some of the hand made items in the store is pushy and money grabbing. She asked for cash only and demanded I pay in that form. It was a big turn off and I wouldn't recommend any product that's made by her.Learn how to approach people and understand this is not the way to do business. Small business especially. Unfortunately, I found this person through Belle jar and it reflects on them. I'm all for girl power but you have no finesse.”

They also have a nice selection of Virginia (and made-in-Virginia) gifts, including local things like kitchen towels that say Fairfax on them, and a lot of cute things that are perfect for when you want to give a gift but don't want to give something really generic. “This is a high end womans' clothing store that also sells some household goods like throw pillows and fuzzy couch blankets. There are a limited offering of jewelry, gift items and makeup. On clothing there is no price difference for plus sizes. Soft Surroundings also has catalogs that come out seasonally.”

“What an incredible experience my wife and I had working with Fernando. We had been looking for several months for a kitchen table and hutch. We were in the midst of moving and he found a kitchen set that fit perfectly with our new house. The only question was if the hutch topper would work. Fernando said for us to see if it worked and if it didn't he would be willing to store the topper for us in their warehouse for as long as we needed. Who does that? That was truly amazing.We also found a couple pictues that we liked but couldn't make up our mind on how it would look. Fernando had his folks deliver the picture to our house so we could make the right decision. Again who does that? “I shop Hobby Lobby for sewing needs. PROS: Sells fabric on the bolt, a few fat quarters, and a few jelly roll packs. They have a good range of fabric options, notions, trims, catalogs and patterns (e.g., McCalls, Simplicity brands at regularly 30% off), licensed fleece, lots of yarn. Plenty of parking. Upscale area.CONS: None really.Neither pro nor con: I wish they'd sell more corduroy. There was only 1 bolt, and it was not the color I needed.”

There was a small scratch on the display unit we wanted because they were out of stock and the lady was so generous and offered us a discount on the table, we ended up buying a LOT more things than we needed.
