In this location once was a competent and caring neighborhood business. Recently absorbed by My Big Box Eye Dr., this place has, as a result, horrible customer service. The last straw for me is having had my appointment rudely cancelled today on less than a day's notice. They claim to have notified me by voicemail, which I had not taken any notice of. It is not courteous or sufficient to leave a voicemail and assume that the client has been notified. But the intolerable part is that the manager of the place told their poor hapless front desk people "he will have to reschedule" without any consideration of the fact that I had already arrived, and was willing to wait a considerable time. in fact, this rude person had no idea of any of this because she did not even look in y direction when she dismissively sent me away. Not sure what this company values, but it is not clients!! That is the last time I will set foot in that door or in any My Eye Dr.That's my experience. Spare yourself the same rude and impersonal treatment by these arrogant people.

Did eye exams here for my son and I. Dr. Lina is wonderful.That said, the business practices are horrible. They add additional exams (photos) to the exam and say that they are required for an eye exam. They are not, in fact, required and you get three different answers from different people when you ask.The problem here is that the optometrists are great, and the sales staff and general manager make it feel like a used car dealership. Ughhh.

I’ve been pleased with optometrists my kids have had in the past at this location, but we had Dr. Hong for the first time today and I was shocked at how rude he was to my minor daughter. He had no patience at all, and at one point asked her a question that confused her, and he said in a frustrated manner “It’s a simple question.” At another point he got frustrated with her as he was doing the eye exam and actually had her turn the lenses herself and he told her “you tell me what works best.” I was absolutely shocked. He was rude as soon as we walked into the exam room and there’s a lot more I can write but I just want to forget about the experience. I have three kids and have been to optometrists for years and have never seen anything like this.

Dr. Hun Ki Hong and his staff here are excellent. Top notch customer service, extremely polite and on top of that I actually learned something about the anatomy of the eye. Great experience.

They told us we can have $300 rebate for a product which is not even eligible for rebate. Not only they allured us to pay expensive contacts but also wasted us time to claim rebate which is ultimately declined ! This is not trustable business

Our family have been customers for this office for years. But since it was bought by myeyeDr., it went downhill so fast so obviously. The doctor is rude; the receptionist is cold; the optical person makes you feel you want to get out of this place as quick as possible; I feel forced to buy glasses there; I didn’t hear from the office for 3 weeks after I ordered; I called the office, the first time no one picked up the phone, the second time was put on hold for over 20 minutes; the person who picked up the phone was cold and rude; she refused to transfer me to the optical department; she also refused to give me the number of the optical department; we are totally done with this office. The online link has no order status.

Avoid this place. They refused to allow our 4 appointments when we were late by 10 minutes. They didn’t even ask us the reason why we were late. They were allowing only 3 of us. When we asked them if they can check with the doctor, even doctor didn’t agree. They had called us when we were on the way. They didn’t tell us on the call they were not going to take us in when we arrive. To my further surprise they didn’t have any patients waiting when we arrived and doctor still had time to accept my family of 4 (total of 2 hours of appointments time, they still had 1 hour 50 minutes remaining and if you think logically the doctor could have finished attending to all 4 of us within that time span). They decided not to allow us even when they were completely free with no patients waiting. Ridiculous of them to do this. We decided on the spot no to use their services. The management of this place - if they are serious should look into this and avoid such experiences for other patients.

I’ve been going here for the past 3 year years and have had nothing but a great experience. The staff is always friendly and kind. Dr. Lay is my favorite. I can tell she really cares about her patients.

Yesterday I visited Eye Street Optical for a repair of my sunglasses, which I had purchased there several years ago, and to order a replacement set of eyeglasses for a pair that I had lost. I was immediately greeted at the reception desk by someone who fixed my sunglasses right away. The staff helped me identify the model number of my lost eyeglasses and identified that it was still in production and initiated an order and the collected information needed so they could file a claim with my vision insurance company. They reviewed my insurance benefits with me. Most of the staff is still the same as it has been for the last several years. They only person who is no longer there is the owner who sold the business and retired. I'll miss her cheerfulness and her expertise, but the long term employees who have always given great service are still there and are still doing a great job. I know some of the other reviews have recently had different experiences, but it's not correct to say all the previous employees were replaced. They're still there.

I have been a patient at this office for a number of years and have always been impressed by the thoroughness and professionalism of the medical staff. However, the administrative staff has been disappointing. After my last annual exam, my physician asked that I come back in two weeks. I made my appointment and then recently returned. After telling the receptionist my name and that I was there for an appointment, I was asked to take a seat and that I would be called. After watching other patients arrive and be taken back to see their doctors, I asked the receptionists how far behind they were running on appointments. Only then did they ask me for my full name and driver’s license. After a few minutes they said that I did not have an appointment and would have to make (a new) one. Implied was that I had made a mistake by showing up, not that weeks before someone in the office failed to record my appointment. No one explained why they never asked me earlier what I was doing there even though I was sitting right in front of the desk after “checking in” and as other patients were being called. No one admitted they had made a mistake nor apologized for the inconvenience. I have recommended my doctor to others but now must warn them about the administrative staff.

Incredibly disappointed at the price discrepancy of the frame from the manufacture’s price. The service was good when helping me pick a frame and during my exam but when I checked on the manufacturers website after leaving the store (Oliver Peoples) the MSRP price for the frame was $80 less a 20% difference. I understand charging more for in person service or and independent store, but being part of MyEyeDr, a chain store I would expect consistent retail pricing from the manufacturer’s site. At least with LensCrafters the prices match the respective manufacture’s site price. The associate who helped me when I went to pick them up was rather condescending and offered nothing other than a there’s nothing I can do response. She spoke about her years in the independent business and paying for the experience of a store front - but again they are no longer an independent store they are now a MyEyeDr group. Further insulting was her response that I used my insurance for the frames so she acted like I had saved money, however I had to pay several hundred in the difference of the frame price, and again my insurance would have been taken at LensCrafters or even online. Overall I am disappointed and will not return. I hope this is not how all MyEyeDr branches operate and hope their corporate addresses this.
