Caliber Collision did outstanding repairs on my hail damaged car. John was extremely helpful at working with my insurance company and advising me about the repairs. My car was expected to be finished just after Thanksgiving, and there was a couple of days delay. But we got it all sorted out in the end. They didn't replace the windshield as requested, but they will arrange that for me. My car looks nearly brand new. I recommend.

All body shops are not the same! From the first moment we walked in we were welcomed by Laura. She was very helpful and just friendly. Then we met our guy, John K… He was just delightful! Talk about great professional service and strong communication.. that’s John. He just made it easy and even my picky wife agreed. Overall great experience!

I pulled up today to pick up my vehicle, standard procedure would usually mean a full inspection of my vehicle by me..the Owner prior to paying the shop to verify I am satisfied with the work. Upon requesting to view my vehicle, I was refused and told I need to pay my deductible first and reminded I cannot take my keys 2-3 times though that is not what I asked for. I was not given a test drive, walk-through, anything of the sort just reminded of my payment multiple times within this interaction. Upon paying my deductible, I asked the front desk lady what would happen if I broke down in the parking lot. She assured me that wouldn't happen as they worked "extremely hard" to assure it was not totaled out. I pull out not even 5 feet from the shop in the parking lot a and notice a Check engine light on my vehicle that was not present when I turned it on. I immediately returned the vehicle to the shop, who now had nothing to say to me other than to wait for my mechanic. I sat in Chantilly from noon and didn't receive my vehicle until about 4 pm after this followed by major apologies from this shop. I think the staff is a little tone deaf with how they came off initially, you are providing me a service not the reverse. You did not need to mention to me multiple times I could not take my vehicle without paying my deductible as I was not asking that, I wanted to verify it was working properly prior to accepting it...which it wasn't. Safe to say that was my first and last time going to Caliber for repairs.Services: Tires

Despite some pretty severe delays on receiving a part (not Caliber's fault), Caliber did a wonderful job repairing my car. They were not only communicative throughout the process and were always easy to reach, but Bobby in particular was absolutely wonderful. He went above and beyond to make sure that everything was fixed properly, to get my car finished as quickly as possible, and even stayed late to help me find a spare key that had dropped between my seats. For Bobby alone 10/10 service, but with all the hard work they did, I would give Caliber 11/10.

Working with Caliber was great from Dropoff to pickup. They best another shops estimate, had my car ready a day early, and kept me updated throughout the process.

Plenty parking, friendly and fast intake, thorough explanation of the process! We are on a great start! Daily updates via texts, a week turnaround for the vehicle. Johnny G. Was my Advisor and kept me abreast of everything! The front desk staff was very helpful with paperwork and liaising with enterprise rental. There were professional and courteous. I was really surprised at the week turnaround to replace the bumper, fixed damage and paint Nightfall Mica! Lexus was right with this recommendation and it helped that they are an Allstate partner! Everything occurred with ease!Services: Painting

I'll never use caliber collision again. I used caliber in 2016 for body repair from hail damage on a previous car. They had my car for about 2 months. When I finally got it back, I saw bubbles in the paint all over the new hood they had replaced. So they had to do the paint job on that part of my car again so it was it back in their possession for another 2 weeks while they repainted the hood.Fast forward to August 2022 in a different car when I hit an oil slick and slid off the road onto a rock embankment and caused mostly body damage on the front bumper and under the engine bay. I gave caliber another chance so I had my car towed there for the repairs. It was there about 2 weeks this time. After I picked it up from caliber after they finished the repairs, I got about 10 minutes down the road and my car starts to overheat. I drive it back and they just closed minutes before so the door is locked. I could see them all standing in the office talking to each other and staring at me like they want me to leave. I motion for the guy I just picked up my car from (Jose) that I need to speak with him. I explained what happened and he said I will need to leave it again for them to check it tomorrow since it was the end of the day on Friday. Fine, what other choice do I have. Took them until Monday to call me back to pick it up again. I asked what the problem was and he tells me the radiator wasn't bled properly and there was a bubble in the hose somewhere. What kind of shop doesn't properly test things like this before delivering a car back to the owner? Pathetic.I've also been waiting for one more part to come in to finish the recent repair. However, for whatever reason, they cannot get the replacement lower valence (molded plastic) for my car so I'm basically being told too bad and my insurance will write a check for the cost of the part which is from a repair going back a year ago. Took them long enough to get back to me and let me know it's my responsibility to make sure their repair job is done 100%. Very unprofessional and not very responsive. Don't use caliber collision if you can help it.

My car went in for repairs. They left my window open during a stormy weekend, and my leather seats and interior got wet. Also, they dented and scratched my car while in their possession. I requested to have new seats installed, but all I got was a detailing service and a Health inspection from the Lexus dealer. Manager did not listen to my request, I am the one at a loss here and don't feel like I was compensated adequately. After I got home I also noticed that one of my rims was damaged. I regret taking my vehicle to them. Worst service ever in my life. I feel I was taken advantage of.

If I could give Caliber Collision 500 stars, it would not be enough! I had someone hit me head on and my car has been with CC since the day after the accident. I have been getting daily text updates and the level of customer service has been absolutely exceptional. Absolutely no one offers this type of customer service any more! They have made a horrible experience actually pleasant! I will NEVER take my cars anywhere else, ever! Kudos to an excellent team, and thank you so much for everything!Services: Tires

Over the years, I have brought 5-6 vehicles to Caliber Collision for body work. As luck would have it, I nicked the garage and scraped up my front right quarter panel pretty badly and also loosened the wheel well trim on my Land Rover.I spent no less than 30 minutes with rubbing compound before accepting defeat and calling Caliber to schedule an estimate. This being a non insurance claim, I was expecting a very valuable and costly lesson. My estimator was a gentleman by the name of Johnny. He inspected my vehicle and told me he would be right back. He returned with a lacquer thinner and like magic, within a minute, returned my vehicle back to its original state. He even brought out some clips and refastened my wheel well trim. When it comes to anything automobile related, it’s a racket, and very expensive. I fully expected the worst and was prepared for a ruined weekend. Anyone could have easily preyed upon me; most would have. Johnny owned my problem, something most fail to do. He was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond in the one department that means the most to me, service. If not for good service, I would never return, refer, or take the time to write this review. Johnny was honest and has forever earned my trust in a dishonest and untrusting climate and industry. I tried to pay him. He refused. Even lunch? He still refused. He was sincerely happy to help. When you’re done reading this review, ask yourself when the last time anyone treated you like this.i happen to be a very connected person. There is no doubt Caliber will make 10x what they saved me this morning with my future referrals.Thank you so much, Johnny. You’re the best!Service: Body & Trim

TL;DR - I annoyed the estimator by finding a part that Caliber's staff was having a hard time finding and pricing. The estimator was dismissive. The young ladies and one gent running the front office were super nice. Everyone was honest and up-front, including my insurance company. The reason I initially selected Caliber Collision was because they had a good reputation, were a large shop with experience, and would be able to find parts and get the job done in a wonky market recovering from parts scarcity. Unfortunately, I was wrong on some of these. The ladies there were nice. The center had fresh popcorn, coffee, and water. I can tell that my 2009 Toyota SUV annoyed the adjuster/estimator. Essentially, Caliber's estimator indicated that they would have a difficult time sourcing a tailgate for my 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser and might not be able to repair my vehicle and may have to look for a recycled tailgate. Fair enough. The bumper cover, some sensors, and the muffler tailpipe were the only other things damaged and easy to price. He was right - I could not find a recycled tailgate from several of the large salvage suppliers. Granted, I am not a huge corporate body shop and just called a few of the larger salvage companies and searched the net. There was a used tailgate on eBay from a scrap yard that looked good but they probably have to source from a reputable used parts supplier. After that, I called 2 dealers locally. Both can order the part and it is a 2-4 week lead for a new or new old stock (NOS) part. One of the dealers told me that a dealer in Atlanta actually has one in stock. I found the dealer in Atlanta and verified it was in stock. When I told the Caliber estimator that I was able to find a tailgate at a dealer in Atlanta he told me "That's not the way it works." and seemed annoyed. This is my first wreck in 20 years. I don't know how this works! However, I was able to find the part and told him that I have the information if he needs it. He didn't want it and was completely dismissive. It's kind of sad that such a large repair organization can't repair or find parts to repair a 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser when I was able to find the "missing unicorn."I called my insurance company and did the work to move to a small family owned shop in Sterling. That shop was super nice, told me to bring in what parts information I had, and would ask USAA if they could use it *if* they can't get the part locally. They do have to check locally and recycled first. Fair enough. The locally owned shop respected my time and my inexperience with accidents. They set an appointment for a week out, which is normal and I look forward to seeing them. They asked me to share my parts research and valued my efforts.
