If I could give 0 rate I would. I have never rate previous places but I felt like I needed to warn other people before they go here. I do not know about prices for people w/o insurance but if you have insurance they will charge as if they were urgent care or specialist. When they are not even doctors, all they did was taking my pulse which is something you can do with your watch. They are just RN and are overcharging for everything. Trust me if you are ever sick just choose to go to an urgent care. I am never coming back to this place. Also all I asked was a Covid test and for them that’s an office visit, trust me this place is a joke.

Please please stayyyyyy away from the minute clinic. Let me mention how horrible and insufficient the customer service and attitude of the asian lady working at the CVS on Pickwick Rd. is. I had an appointment scheduled for 3:10pm. I got here at 2:50pm. Upon arrival I noticed another women was waiting in the waiting area who was there before me. At 2:54pm she was called inside. I came early bec I expected to be seen by my appointment time because I have four kids, who need to be picked up at 3:40pm from the bus I live only 5 minutes from them. I forgot to mention before even coming I was on hold over the phone with them for over 45 minutes and no one still picked up even at 3:45pm. At 3:20pm I finally decided to knock, so I can ask how much longer because of my kids or if I could come back. She did not answer or open her door. I tried gently knocking once more one minute later with no response again. The third time I knocked was at 3:25pm, where she opened the door and screamed at me. Saying do not knock again. I showed her how I have been waiting on the phone to ask if you all accept my insurance and I have kids waiting. Her reply was don’t knock again as if I am a child. At 3:28pm is when she finally called me in. She was so was sooooo rude, despite knowing she had me waiting for so long she still did not show any decency. She wouldn’t even tell me her name when I asked her, I came to find out her name is Michelle. It was not fair.

I am with the 1 star reviewers here. I had been coughing for more than a month. So I decided to visit the minute clinic at cvs for the first time as it was nearby me. Wish I had seen these reviews before I visited there. First the nurse asked me to do allergy test but as I said her I had no other symptoms of allergy except dry coughing, but still I agreed and they asked me to come for a follow up visit. She even prescribed me to have Allegra and allergy nasal spray that too had me purchase over the counter saying it would be cheaper. I went to follow up and was told that my allergy test results are normal. And obviously I had no improvement with the allergy pills and spray. Then the next nurse who was there to meet me said may be it is due to acid reflux and prescribed me acid reflux medicines. I was told I won't be charged as it was a follow up visit. No improvement again. But after a while I get charged with $127 for first time for my allergy test which I paid without saying anything but they charged me $99.53 for the follow up which I was told I won't be charged as it was a follow up. I called the support number, waited for 45 mins in phone, described them about this, was put in hold for another half an hour and was told they will look into the matter and if I was told that I won't be charged then they should be able to take care of it. But nope nothing happened. I am not going to minute clinic ever again.

I went in for itchy red eyes. They made me take a COVID test. Then advised me to get over the counter eye drops. I had no symptoms of COVID. I feel minute clinic is giving unnecessary testing so they can increase the revenue. Then they billed my insurance company improperly. I called their main number and the woman argued with me that it was billed properly and my outstanding bill is for a deductible. I DO NOT have a deductible for an office visit. I only have a copay which I paid. I will be reporting this place to the Attorney General Office for over billing and giving unnecessary testing. I don’t recommend this place. You will be ripped off and you should also file a complaint with the Attorney General if you are given unnecessary tests or services and over billed

This place gave me a COVID test even though I had no symptoms. I had an eye infection. Then they overbilled my insurance company. They refuse to correct the bill. I filed a complaint with the proper authorities for providing unnecessary treatment and over billing. If you are given a COVID test (just because). Do not allow them because it's just done to pad their revenue.

Charged me 168$ for a covid test. What a rip off. No way to call back the minute clinic. No prior authorization of how much the charge is gonna be.

This review would be lower but I do understand that they were swamped. If you’re going for their MinuteClinic it doesn’t matter when you made your appointment, be ready to be there all day. I tried to squeeze in a TB test before other obligations and ended up having to leave after hearing nothing for 20 minutes past my appointment time for a procedure that should’ve taken 10 minutes tops. Granted I can’t speak to their quality because I wasn’t able to stay, but just be ready for your time not to matter.

First time ever using minuteclinic; decided to come for having sore throat for days, wanted something fast and i knew that if i call my provider i would have to start calling them at 7am just to make a same day appoiment (if they had one) or would have to wait more days ill, so, looking online found this, they had next morning available but with work and others appoiments chose best time to come (6:40pm) and a location between from where i was to my house. Also i was with my 2 kids. Arrive 10 minutes early, prior 5 minutes i checked in, 2 more minutes they were calling my name. I hate waiting so this was perfect! Ended having streptococo, they made a rapid test, the doctor told me about the cost of it before because i dont have insurance (everything ended up costing +$150) wish for me was ok considering that i just made a quick 30 minutes stop for my health. With my regular provider, i have a income discount, would be +$45 but i didnt know WHEN i could be attended plus if the test would had an extra cost anyway. For the time, It worth it.

I scheduled an appointment at 12:00PM October 29 on 5652 Pickwick Rd, Centreville. This staff in the clinic just decided to hang out with her friends on the phone, and totally ignore the 5+ patients waiting outside. Now, I can’t leave, because I’m signed in, if I leave I’ll get charged....... it is currently 12:46

On August 6th, 2021, I received a COVID rapid test at this minute clinic. Although the test was administered in a timely manner and my results came in quickly, I found out a month later (today - September 7th) from my insurance company that this CVS had erroneously labeled my test as an "office visit" and wanted to charge me $160 for it. For those who are unaware, under the federal CARES Act (signed into law in March 2020 and is still in effect) COVID tests are supposed to be free regardless of insurance status. Furthermore, the Department of Health and Human Services lists CVS as a provider of cost-free COVID tests in Virginia. Unscrupulous clinics often "mistakenly" label COVID tests as "office visits" or "outpatient visits" in order to illegally charge people for them, and I learned this the hard way from a different provider in June 2020. Anyways, listen to the other 1-star reviews here and go elsewhere.

Scheduled myself for a visit and I couldn’t make it in the allotted and they couldn’t work with me or be of any help other than to shirk responsibility on to a computer system. I’m thankful they weren’t in charge of creating the vaccine or we’d still be waiting for one.

I had a 12:05 appointment. While I was pulling in, at 12:06 I received a call from the clinic saying if I didn’t call them back within 5 minutes they were canceling my appointment. I began checking in on the computer at 12:08 and my appointment was already canceled. I understand the importance of being on time, but for how long I have waited after my scheduled appointment times on many occasions 3 minutes seems a little ridiculous.

I should have listened to my gut instincts and not expected decent customer service from a CVS service. I arrived early and due to COVID restrictions waited outside. 20 minutes after my appointment time I tried to call but the “office was closed”. I went into the store and by the time someone came out they told me they couldn’t help me because they were closed. They claimed they had called me. I had no missed calls or messages on my phone. The automated text came through to confirm my appointment so I know I had given them my correct number. I give up on CVS.

Do not come here if you have Carefirst and want a basic checkup. Minuteclinic will waste your time and rip you off. Read the following to understand why. (Summary: Minuteclinic is incapable of reading a valid referral and submitting the claim appropriately, or turning you away if your insurance is not supported)Yearly, carefirst provides an incentive for members to come in, get a checkup, and get $150-200 as a reward to use for future medical bills. That's the only reason I came to this Minuteclinic location. Carefirst gives you a referral paper (where Carefirst takes care of the visit cost) that you have to present in person and the doctor who helped me at this location took this referral without any issues (including my insurance card), billed it to what I thought was my insurance and I was on my way. Great service right?2 Months later I'm hit with nearly a $200 bill. I call my insurance Carefirst to ask why and they stated that Minuteclinic is known to pull antics like this, incorrectly charge customers and bill them anyways. I call Minuteclinic afterwards and they inform me that this is a "Anthem insurance" location only, therefore, they are unable to void the claim and resubmit it to my insurance. Now tell me, as a patient, why must I waste 20-30min with Carefirst, then 1.5 hours on the phone with Miniuteclinic, only for them to tell me to call anthem next to have me re-discuss this entire situation with them, and see if they can reprocess this claim? This entire process is ridiculous and makes no sense. If Minuteclinic had only looked at my referral and turned me away at the door, none of this would have happened. What else can you expect from money hungry insurance companies?
