A great and welcoming organization, with a nice rifle range. As another member noted below, the conduct and knowledge of the range safety officers is inconsistent, at best. Some of them really know their stuff and are there to ensure the safety of everyone, but others like to hover, especially over the women. A handful of them get way too much enjoyment from exercising a bit of power and letting everyone know they are in charge, to the detriment of the members' overall experience. This latter group of range officers needs additional supervision, and also, it seems, need some quality social interaction outside of what they get a few hours a week from telling people at the range how much they know about guns.

there's a chapter right by my house and every opening week of bow season these guys shoot guns at the range. this year they did it opening day all day . and during gun season they are to afraid to walk in the woods in the dark before sunrise so they drive their trucks to there spots when it's light out and make all kinds of noise. it's ruin it for the rest of us who aren't afraid to sit in the dark and wait for first light.

IWLA offers notch instruction provided by certified volunteers who are adept at teaching men, women, and children. It is a private club with memberships available periodically. An annual Women on Target program provides women and girls over the age of 14 with an introduction to shooting sports (firearms and archery) among other life skills. The club hosts charitable functions, too.

Great place for archery!!! Indoor/outdoor facility and good way to spend few hours and just let go!!!! This is definitely a every weekend thing to do along with paintball......
