Good size store and great prices - exactly what you should see at a thrift shop! I visit this location often. The staff is very kind too.

Second time purchasing here, specifically asked what the return policy was and was only told must have receipt and tags attached. Didn’t get a chance to try on because the fitting rooms were full for 30 minutes straight and they were closing early. Came in for returns and was told it’s after 7 days and they can’t do anything. Cashier didn’t tell me 7 days but the manager said “I know this cashier very well” as if I was lying. Most stores are 30 days and cashier never mentioned 7 days or I would have come back within that time; literally came back at 11 days. Poor customer service, poor policy.

When I was doing a major cleanup in my study room, I realized that I had a lot of stationery that I had bought and never used.I had tons of paper notebooks that had been sitting in boxes for years, dozens of new pencils, ink cartridges, film, stickers, etc. It's nice to know that there's a place nearby where I can share these unused, hoarded items with someone who needs them.

Today, February 7, 2024, a donation attendant; a tall, burly, middle-aged, dark-complected male stared me down as I walked from my vehicle to the store. I didn't have any business at the donation center and yet he disgustingly stared me down until I was out of his sight.Next time (and I hope I never encounter him again) | will have my camera recording and will use this as evidence to file a complaint with management seeing as I doubt they would even hear me out without showing them proof they hired a creeper. Very unprofessional!

I live 50 minutes away from this location. I was in the area for an eye doctor appointment so I decided to stop here before heading home. I bought a heater for my back room to help heat the room. Well getting home to plug it in it did not work. So after calling the store they informed me they don’t test electronics. So beware. I lost that money

Good selection, but the miserable cashier shoved our mug between the clothes and THREW it inside bag and it fell out and I thought it cracked. I told her, "How about you wrap it with paper instead of throwing it around" like a hooligan. What a bitch.

If you’re black just dont buy here. Thats all I will say. Also dont put stickers on product instead of a tag. Signs saying glasses a certain price but bc of a sticker fell off you cant sell it!? Thats ridiculous. Wont ever be returning

For some reason, vibe at this goodwill is toxic. As a customer who has visited there quite a few times over the past couple of years, I kept thinking each particular visit was bad due to one time situations. Today I realized that employees are either rude or don't seem to enjoy their time there. Today's incident is as follows: I found an item without a price, a package of shred (for gifts). I brought it to the register and was told they could not sell it to me because it did not have a price. I asked if someone could do pricing for it. It was as re-iterated that they sell NOTHING without a price, even gift wrapping item like this. Manager told me it would have go through processing before he could sell it. I asked if he could process it while I was there. Again, road block conversation with a firm No. This is NOT a community-minded store, and they care nothing about hearing from their customers. I have other similar examples of this attitude, but will leave this review detailing today's incident. (**Please note that this same concern was raised in an earlier review regarding a polyester tie.) My future donations and business will go elsewhere. I am tired of leaving this store in a bad mood because they seem to care nothing about the people that support then. Go to another thrift store that appreciates your business! NoVa has lots of great options!

This is a great Goodwill location. While small than what I am used to, they have some good brands and styles at really good prices. They don’t do any of the crazy upcharging that I expect from Goodwills nowadays.

Poor customer service from management and contradicting company policy. The cashier with pink hair was very kind and feel bad that she works for such poor management.Found an old vintage polyester tie on the tie rack with literally hundreds of other ties with a sign above stating Ties & Belts $2.99. Upon taking it to the register to checkout, they wouldn't sell it to me bc the manager said it couldn't be sold because it didn't have a color tag/bone and that "it will be back on the floor tomorrow" saying it's company policy. Even though there is a sign directly above all ties that says $2.99ea. Even after offering to pay $3.99 for the tie, the manager basically told me I'd have to come back tomorrow to buy it. This is absolutely poor customer service when you run a retail store and have someone in front of you who has the money to and wants to buy your product, telling them to come back another day! That might work for a local, but someone passing through town... it makes no sense!I spend $1000's of dollars a year at Goodwill Thrift Stores and even online on their ShopGoodwill auction page buying things that were all DONATED for free!Hope your $2.99 tie was worth this review!

This is one of the few Goodwills that still worth going to. It’s the “old style”. Meaning it’s not just filled with the equivalent of what is leftover at your yard sale at the end of the day. Prices are still not too high, it’s got a decent toy section where kids can still access the toys themselves and you still can find treasures not just stupid Knick knacks. I think I’ve found something or bought a pair of shoes every time I’ve visited. I love this particular Goodwill. The rest of them, for the most part, suck.

This Goodwill location is one of my favorite stops! Stock is always wildly diverse, and often has beautiful Desi clothing. Yes, there is a "no tag, no sale" policy, that is standard Goodwill policy across all stores. Yes, they ask people to not lets their kids treat the toy area like a playground, not sure why reviewers think that is a bad thing. Over several years, the only rudeness I've encountered was at the donation door, so I donate elsewhere. Otherwise, I find if you are kind and respectful to the staff, and treat them like people, they are the same to you. They can't help it if so many customers like to let their kids run about, or dump unwanted items in random places, rip open boxes, and break stuff. Goodwill retail is a store, not a service, and I have always thought the staff is doing the best they can.

Staff was unwilling to help. I found pants I really liked but the tag had gotten ripped off, because of that there was only a tiny bit of the color tag left. Per their policy the color tag still needs to be on the pants to sell them. Although the whole tag was not there, there was a still a bit that was connected to the pants so they should have been able to sell to me. Rather than working with me a very rude employee said they were unable to sell because the tag wasn’t there when it was. I understand they have policies but they could have tried to at least help me out a bit especially when another employee remarked that he would’vesold me the pants. In the future I will go out of my way to avoid that store because of that employee.
