Went this to location and one of the staff was super rude her name is Maggie. I had come to pay my parents credit card and also deposit checks on their behalf because they are at a hospital due to an emergency. She was not helpful at all and SUPER DISRESPECTFUL. She did not let me deposit my check or pay their credit card. She kept rolling her eyes and was basically trying to complete another transaction during mine. She did not give any attention to me when I was literally standing in front of her. My parents had been a Citi Customer since 1990s and this behavior towards a customer is really disgusting and disrespectful. Citi bank should really look take another look at their clerks because their businesses is just gonna decline (or already because of Maggie) they keep hiring horrible and rude clerks.

I have been a patron and customer of the Centreville Citibank since 1998 when I opened my account. I've stayed because of the outstanding customer experience. The tellers and advisors welcome me by name, they are patient with me and go above and beyond. Most recently, when I thought I lost a cashier's check, one of the tellers came out to my car and helped me search the parking lot. While Citibank is a corporate mega-bank, our Centreville branch operates and treats us as neighbors.

Vanya Kostova is one of the few valuable assets of Citibank. She is meticulous, patient and professional. Vanya Kostova takes good care of everyone, including me, so I strongly recommend her boss to give her a raise! Thank her!

Had a five star experience at this Citibank branch in June 2022! My parents wanted to withdraw some money and a gentleman(Mr. Kuljeet Ahuja) at the branch provided us with excellent service! He processed our transaction with full commitment and was very patient and courteous in answering all our queries related to our account. Mr. Ahuja works at the branch as the head concierge. Definitely recommend visiting this branch for all your banking needs.

I had a checking's in savings account open earlier this week I called so they can close both of the accounts completely. I had a balance of $2.24 in my checking's account while my savings was saying account closed via the app. I finally ended up withdrawing the $2.24 within the same week from my checking account. That same moment I see my savings account reopen and I was thinking it was just a glitch. Next day I see a balance of -$24.99 on my savings account and I only use to transfer money, never to make any purchases. I called customer service and their incompetence completely ruins any recommendation I have for the stupid foolish bank because I don't know where I got it interest of one penny they have charge my account. They reopen my account and and charge me for a monthly service of $25 but before I got the stupid interest payment of a stupid penny my account was already closed so why in the world would they reopen my account just to take money from me stealing scamming this bank is for the fools who don't notice their money is missing.

I got ripped off by Citibank. I was being charged for $25 for the past 18 month. My account was changed from student to regular account without knowing me. I believe they probably sent me email notice and I didnt read the fine print. A long story short, I used this Citibank account as my emergency saving account so I set direct deposit and didnt look at it for the last 18 month. Then, when I checked my account, I realized that they took away $480 from my account, $25 for the past 18 months. When I visited Centerville Citibank, an accounter gave me only the last 4 month back, then, she told me that I would have to call CITIBANK customer service because a local branch DOES NOT have an authority to go beyond 4 month. I just talked to Citibank phone customer service. Then, one of the supervisors(Roger) said the branch manager HAS MORE authority than the phone service. So I have to go back to branch to get MY money back again. This cannot be real and this cannot be a way that CITIBANK treat a loyal customer like me. I will see what I can do and I am really dissatisfied on how CITIBANK is handling my account. Yes I was careless and I was supposed to check my account periodically. I trusted CITIBANK too much. That was my fault.

Vonya was very patient in explaining the terms of various account types. They don't have a restroom for customers which seemed a bit odd.

I got network attacks of my online account for two banks, m&t and citi, same problems, but different results. This citi branch is the best bank ever, most of the people are very nice, especially the young lady(Miss.Ak), she is nice, Responsible, patient. I’m so happy this branch has high quality service and nice people over there, happy to stay with citi.

OK, I will give you the summary first so I will not get TL;DR. And yes it is a long story. But first a quick summary. If you are like me a recent college graduate you may be looking for a bank. Here is a quick note on Citibank/CITI --- DON'T. I too graduated recently (in 2019). I opened an account with Citibank. Now they refuse to let me my money out. You heard correctly. I sent about 6 letters starting in March 2020 and I still do not have my money. They are holding $1,000 plus interest a hostage. Now the LONG story. Now the long and painful story. I opened my account with Citibank in 2019 after I talked to several banks and asked about low cost account without any hidden fees. Two people Jeff and Carmen in CITI told me on the phone that all I need is to have consistently certain balance ($1,000) and I am guaranteed to have a free account. I opened the account in 2019. At first it worked fine - they did not charge me any extra fees. I did not go to the branch even before COVID and actually did not do much with the account as I opened another account in a small bank. But I kept CITI bc I wanted a backup and it was (supposed to be) free.Suddenly, one year later I am getting a letter that my account is closed bc it was not active. I went to my account online and there is says, you account has been closed bc it was not used. I called and said, okay, give me my money and I will go elsewhere. This all on the phone. Greg told me that to take the money I have to come to the bank. I told him that I am not going to the bank bc of COVID. He said contact the the CITI Executive main offices at
[email protected] sent email to CITI Executive. I explained to them that they lied to me when I opened my account bc Jeff and Carmen told me that as long as I keep a balance over $1000 (which I was) I can keep the account for free. But when I went to my account there was a message that I need to deposit my paycheck to CITI and that would allow me to keep my account. I told them that I no longer want to keep my account at CITI and want my money sent to me.March 2020.Jeniffer responded: We are studying the issues will get back to you in 15 days.No response.March 28, 2020.I resent my letter.Jeniffer responded: Essentially same letter. We are studying the issues will get back to you in 15 days.No response in 15 days.April 2020.We are examining your complaint. You have one way to reactivate your account. We sent you email in your account. I look in the account and it says. Your account is disabled. To activate the account you need to make regular deposits. [That conflicts with what they told me when I was opening my account 2019.]May 2020. (I was too busy to deal with the assholes.)June 13, 2020.Sent them another letter. They said you must go to the branch. I sent this letter. "I do not know where you live, but here in Virginia we have COVID. I am willing to Zoom with anyone and show you my driver license and you have my picture. And do the withdraw on Zoom."Response a few weeks later. We have received your letter and we will get back to you in 15 days. Signed. Manager Emily (no last name). Notice she did not actually respond to my questions and request to conduct the business on line. August 1, 2020:I sent another letter. Their response: We have received your letter blah blah crap. 15 days.So now I decided to communicate with CITI here. Dear CITI. If there is anyone at your bank who can read, please read this twice and then contact me. Or you can just send me the check with $1,000 plus the interest.I will update this report as new information becomes available. For now. To summarize. The morons are holding my $1,000 hostage. If you are looking for a bank I suggest you AVOID CITI.
