Outstanding customer service, they arrived on time as promised at the pickup address and arrived at the drop off point on time.The delivery guys were great, friendly and professional.And the best part was the did my delivery on a Sunday.I will be using this company for all my moving needs and recommending them to my friends in the MDV area. They also offer military discount.

Art and his crew just moved us from MD to PA and did a wonderful job. We could not have asked for a more hard working, skilled group of movers. From the first interaction, Art (owner) was very responsive, extremely knowledgeable and gave us a fair price. They were on time and very efficient in moving our 4 bedroom 4500 sq ft home to our new home. They went above and beyond by being patient with us as we told them where exactly to put everything in the new home. They always had a smile on their face and we really felt like they were family. We would use them and recommend them again in a heartbeat!

$1154 to move a 1 bedroom apt completely absurd! I was quoted for 3 hours they took more than 5. Moved the furniture 3 miles away to a first floor storage unit. This is twice what it cost me to move here. Update: owners reply to my post is not true. It was a one bedroom move. The second room was not occupied and completely empty I walked the movers in there to show them, and they said ok. The owner also texted me to argue and called me a liar suggesting I said my apt had elevators which could not be further from the truth. Continuing to tell me his guys moved a two bedroom apt and I must be expecting magic if I wanted it completed in a reasonable time. If they moved a 2 bedroom apt how did they fit all of my belongings in a 10x10 storage unit? That would be quite difficult with a two bedroom move. Make it make sense.

First the truck they came with was much too small to fit all my items in. Also, it took them forever to complete my move, as they moved like turtles. The first time they moved me it was like lightening speed, so I wanted to use them again. This go around it was not as efficient. Then the guy writes the final quote up on my bar stools after I continuously asked him to use the table, as that's what normal folks do. One good thing is they did arrive early/ on time, which was good.

Local move Jan 6, 2022. I am going to give them a 5 because the move went smoothly. The crew was on time, courteous, helpful, respectful and worked really hard for 6 hours non-stop. so thank you AK movers.

AK is probably OK for short moves with smallish furniture so you may see some good reviews (and some are no doubt friends, because the ratings seem to jump between 5 stars and 1 star!!) Art is efficient I will give that - he organized our stuff in the storage very well. But he is rude and cocky (just talk to him for 5 minutes), and our experience got worse over time. We were moving a house in two steps, half to storage, half to a small rental (in April) and then reverse last week. Both times, the owner Art (a) insisted I do fixed price, then tried to save money (b) by rushing the first time (including having his folks pack open boxes that were not supposed to be packed) and (c) most gallingly, this time, sent us two small trucks (meaning it needed multiple loads and unloads) and only 5 people (who had to do the entire work - the magnitude of which Art was well aware of given that he himself moved us recently) - and the poor guys had to work for 13 hours straight without food (I offered them water and a healthy set of tips in the end). When the guys were about to quit on assembling the furniture and I told Art I'll pay 85% now and 15% when he sends a new team to fix it, he changed his tune from "I don't care how you pay" to "You have to pay fully NOW" - screaming at the top of his lungs!! The guys thankfully figured out the assembly, as that is always part of the deal - but I will say this - Art is totally unscrupulous on how he treats his poor workers and his clients, and is absolutely, insanely, maniacally, threateningly, hysterically screaming if you question him at any point (will be interesting to see if I can upload the exact recording here as he will no doubt try to dispute this). BTW, the crew banged into my newly painted walls of the stairwell and left many streaks (pictures included - but we got the house just two days ago and had it newly painted!) - but i guess by then they were exhausted. The movers however were awesome ... it's a shame as I would have loved to leave a good review, I'm generally generous on various Travel and Yelp evaluations, am generous with gratuities, but there is no way to condone someone shrieking into a phone when legitimately challenged.

AK Movers did an excellent job. The 3 men that packed and move our belongings were gentle and took great caution. They were on time and were very efficient. I highly recommend using AK Movers for any moving needs

AK Movers did a great job from start to finish. Art was responsive even during a busy moving season. Luis and Jose went above and beyond with the actual move--super speedy at packing and unpacking the truck, careful with more delicate items, and undaunted by unexpected stairs and slow elevators. Not a single item was broken or damaged--and they were nice to boot!

AK Movers is a complete fraud! Check BBB website for the claims against this moving company! I wish I would have done it before scheduling AK Movers for our relocation! When I asked the business owner Art to give me the estimate for our upcoming relocation, he sent me an email back saying that he is confused about me asking for the estimate. It was a BIG RED FLAG and one of the reasons for my cancellation. Of course, I never received my deposit money back either. When I asked for the deposit money back, Art sent me another email saying that it was the last minute cancellation. Does 10 day notice sound as the last minute cancellation to you? Horrible business! I would strongly advise to stay away from this moving company!

I highly recommend AK Movers! I had a situation fall through over the weekend and reached out Saturday night and they reached out immediately to schedule for the following Wednesday. They were on time and made the process very seamless. I worked with Luis and Jorge and they were such a pleasure! I moved into a storage unit so when I need to move out I'll be sure to reach out to schedule with them.

We just completed a move from an apartment in Baltimore to a house in Rockville, MD. This is a fantastic moving company! We were given a very accurate estimate for the move, and there were no surprises or hidden charges. The movers arrived on time, worked very efficiently, and were so nice to work with. AK Movers charges a very fair price, and the owner (Art Manukyan) was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

The good: The company was responsive and the movers worked quickly. The bad: The movers were over an hour late. My dining table and chairs sustained a lot of damage because they were moved unprotected even though furniture padding and protection was supposed to be included in the price. Price: $600 to move a studio apartment within a 10 mile radius + $40 tip Recommend: No
