Best place to board! Unfortunately, people don't understand the farm life and what it takes to maintain over 100+ acres of not just a wooded area. Also sad that people bring their personal feelings to a business to leave their 1 star review. Also, every single one of their 1 star reviews comes from entitled Karen's! I'd vouche for this family and their farm daily!

RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and not deserving of ANY stars. I attended a wedding at the Triple J Farms venue across from this center last weekend and the weed eating was done close to the road and the wedding venue and started 15 minutes before the ceremony began and ended just moments after. It is obvious this is done on purpose. Don't tell me you are a working farm and time and time again it just so happens you have to do this work right when the celebrations are happening? Trust me, they are choosing to do the noisiest activity possible at the EXACT time the wedding ceremony takes place. There is a long history of this feud, (Google and see the news articles) and what we experienced shows they are out for themselves and don't care WHO they impact, including innocent couples on their wedding day. The Triple J Farms venue is gorgeous and the owners are lovely and I would HIGHLY recommend their location for a wedding or party destination. They have thought of everything and it shows. The only thing that can't be controlled is the weather and their spiteful neighbors that try to ruin other people's special days. (Which they did not succeed in doing!) Side note: I found out after this experience that this Equestrian Center's owner, Deborah Caldwell-Bono, happens to be the same woman who represented the man who murdered my friend in college. The man that admitted to the crime and was instead sentenced to LIFE in prison. It's obvious the real character and intended actions behind all of this. NO morals or ethics. Any response back to this is pointless and will be disregarded. What a JOKE.

SHAME ON YOU! You should be appalled at your behavior and examine your character. Anyone who has a long history of purposely trying to sabotage their neighbor’s business by hoping to ruin a couple’s wedding ceremony on what should be their most special day doesn’t deserve to have a single positive review. If only I could rate you with negative stars! Triple J Farms (an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue used for my daughter’s wedding, with such kind and caring owners, across the street) doesn’t deserve the horrible treatment you display, nor do their guests. Anyone looking at using the Catawba Equestrian Center please do the research on this business and its owner Deborah Caldwell Bono and see for yourself their ongoing actions. Truly unbelievable! “Love your neighbor as yourself”? Obviously not a principal put into practice. Rather than always be defensive in your responses and continuing this behavior, why don’t you try embracing the concept and choose LOVE! It takes far less energy.

Our Granddaughter got married over Labor Day week-end at a beautiful and well run venue, Triple J Farms right across the road from the CEC.We arrived around 3:00 P.M., and there was absolutely no lawn care activity going on around the CEC.Just about the time the ceremony was to begin I noticed someone weed eating using a very noisy gas powered string trimmer just across the highway from the venue.I thought - how inconsiderate. Then, just as mysteriously, the noise of the string trimmer stopped when the ceremony was over!Apparently this has been going on for many years. The owner of the CEC insists it is a working farm and they can work to keep it up when they want. While this is true, I would think it would be a neighborly and mature thing to do to suspend working for just a short time so the wedding ceremony would not be disrupted and to respect the participants (ours took 37 minutes).Instead they chose to make as much noise as possible.Other options would be to work on a more remote part of the property during those events, or to purchase a more quite electric string trimmer to accomplish their nearby mandatory tasks.According to the current sunrise/sunset tables there are about 13-1/2 hours of daylight at this time of year or 94.5 hours per week to accomplish your weed eating , but the owner insists that it is just coincidencethat this always occurs precisely when an event is taking place.Come on, do you expect me to believe that?I hope karma pays you back many times over!

Wish I could give zero stars. Complete jerks who purposely run their mowers and weed eaters across the street from Triple J Farms when weddings are taking place. Your yard work seems to always need to take place when a wedding is happening. If you are so upset with weddings you feel the need to purposely do loud yard work that’s sad!! Do better!!

This farm is absolutely gorgeous and serene! Mountain views all around. They have a huge indoor ring and an outdoor ring as well. Lots of space for the horses to run and play. The barn manager, owner and other care takers do a tremendous job taking care of the grounds and horses. Great place to board your horse.

Catawba Equestrian Center (CEC) is a beautiful facility. The large outdoor ring and the smaller indoor ring have rubber footing and lights. Boarders are allowed to use the lights at will. There are cross-ties, two large, heated tack rooms and a clean, heated office with a bathroom, fridge and a Keurig. There are trails on the property. Horses have ample turn-out and herd sizes are small. Bedding is kept under cover so it is dry. I never worried about my horse’s safety at CEC. Horses with stalls are fed grain in their stalls in the morning & evening, but are loose the rest of the day. If you are looking for a place where horses are stalled most of the day, CEC is not the place for you. Debbie is a delight and very accommodating.

One star is frankly too much for an organization who continues to go out of their way to ruin people's special day.

I heard they interrupted a christian wedding ceremony across the road with there mower out of spite. Hopefully they treat their horses better than their neighbors.
