495 Meadow Landing Ln, CaretWhen visiting Caret Cellars I was greeted warmly by the staff. I was given a small tour of the facility and was pleased by the atmosphere. I also love the events that they host here for the community. This place is truly a hidden gem. I recommend taking the time to visit the vineyard. When driving into their location, you pass down a small gravel road into dappled sunlight that comes through the trees, and as you round the corner, to vineyard opens up before you. It truly is a sight to see.

The Farm, at 17 South
15344 Tidewater Trail, CaretMy husband and I were in the area and we decided to eat at 17 South. Our server was friendly and the food servings were huge. I got fried green tomatoes which came with a delicious dipping sauce. there were several tomato slices which were lightly breaded. my entree was chicken with orange sauce with rice and brocoli. The broccoli was fresh and very good. The chicken was huge breaded fingers. My portions were so large that I took them home and ate them for several days. My husband got their special Cheeseburger and fries. He said it was very good. He got pineapple upside down cake to go. He said it was excellent when he at it the next morning. This is a great place for huge helpings of comfort food. The decor was typical of small town diners.
