I had a disappointing experience at this store. The lady behind the counter was quite rude to several customers, seeming to have a rough day. She was yelling at people and didn’t communicate that they were out of rolls—there was no sign posted. One customer mentioned she didn’t realize the staff was speaking to her until after paying, and the employee accused her of lying. It’s frustrating to encounter that kind of attitude when you’re just trying to grab food or gas. I would have included her name, but she wasn’t wearing a name tag.

I’m a RF fan. Camping this weekend and stopped by 2x. Chicken had a chemical taste, possibly from cleaning the equipment poorly. Went back today….. Got gas, ordered (2) hotdogs and a tender box. I over heard the deli employee say, “we ain’t got that”. The cashier tried to assist me while shaking her head saying “sorry, I’ve been here 4 years I get it”. Your products and overall business model is better than this! I work 3rd shift and frequently stop at the new store in VB at Princess Anne/General Booth. At least 2x per week I order 2 hotdogs at 0430 . The staff, as they are prepping breakfast are always so friendly and complete the order. Noon on a Saturday, “we ain’t got that” doesn’t fly…..,

Passing through on vacation I stopped to grab snacks and use the bathroom. There was a long line which was no big deal but then an associate came by and closed it for cleaning.....no one was in the bathroom cleaning it she just closed it. Close to 10 minutes passed The line grew longer and everyone was wondering what was going on. I asked the manager what was going on and she said they closed it to clean it but can't get to it. Why would you close the restroom with a long line knowing it wasnt going to be cleaned immediately. I left without using the bathroom or buying anything. They said go to McDonald's....

It's the worst place ever.. most of the employees need to be fired.. the attitude that employees have. We ordered breakfast sandwiches, and they were all cold. The egg patty, the bacon, and sausage were all cold.

Disgusting bathroom and the rudest and most unprofessional staff I’ve ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and- shore stop is about 12 more minutes north.

Why are y’all like this ? Zero integrity! Why can’t you just do the job you are paid to do and removing trash cans because you are to lazy to pull trash will only turn this place into a bigger dump than what it is we spend 500 in fuel and there’s not one trash can for the truckers! Why are y’all like this???

Give the people who work here a raise for all the things they put up with.
Also, Rofo, use those side of the highway robbery profits to build a separate bathroom building for peak summer times in the parking lot at this location. Money better spent then a 2nd store at the very congested Cape Charles stop light. There are plenty of fine gas stations outside Cape Charles another is unnecessary.

This place is disgusting. There's no soap on the bathroom. One of the dispensers in the sink is broken and the other dispenser on the wall is broken off and gone. So they didn't just run out of soap temporarily. There's no way of having soap in the bathroom right now. I won't be back to this dump of a gas station. Royal Farms are usually pretty gross but this one is one of the worst ones I've been in.

Nasty and cramped bathroom. If you’ve got all those gas pumps and supposedly world famous chicken, why so little bathroom space? And why only a single grotesque and broken sink both a hand blower built into the sink to blow the contents all over you? Wife described the women’s restroom as even worse than the men’s room. Would never try the food if this bathroom is considered acceptable. The fancy shelf lights don’t make me want to buy anything after getting sink stuff blown on my face. Will likely never stop at a Royal Farms again, just because of the bathrooms. Wish every gas/convenience store was like Sheetz. Their model universally applied could possibly lead to world peace. (All opinions and observations independently offered by the reviewer carry the value of the price of admission, which was free.). On a positive note and worth the minimum single star rating, my truck enjoyed the gas.

And I appreciate you taking the time to cut and paste the same response to my less-than-positive review that you have used for dozens of other negative reviews over months and years. Obviously you don’t really use the information provided to try to improve or the same negative comments wouldn’t keep coming in over such a long period of time.

You state after reviews that you are addressing issues, but from what I've experienced, the issues persist. This location is not managed well, the employees are indifferent, the facilities are deteriorating, Basic items like bags,napkins, and straws are non-existent.

I've been stopping at this store for several years now while I'm passing through the area and was the first time I ended up getting sick from the food. I ordered the four piece dark with western fries. Either the fries or chicken wasn't fresh. I ended up waking up in the middle of the night with sever stomach pains and this continued for the next 12 hours. I vomited several times and ended up with diarrhea also. Someone needs to really go and make sure this store is up to standards. I will also be reporting this incident to the VA Department of Health.

Idk what changed with this store. We always go here on our way to and from my son’s home in nc but we were there today and the ladies room was filthy and stunk really bad. The coffee machines were either all out or half water half coffee and we waited literally a half hour for food. Next time it will be the McDonald’s just north of this location. I only gave it a 1 because the food was good. It’s a shame it turned into this
