Pet Care

Cape Charles Animal Hospital
22491 Charles M Lankford Jr Memorial Hwy Ste. B, Cape CharlesOur senior dog Annie had a medical incident while we were visiting the area. Dr. Higgins and staff were kind, compassionate, experienced, and Dr Higgins examined her throughly, explained what was happening to Annie and what we could not yet know, allowing us to make a decision. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Cape Charles Brewing Company
2198 Stone Rd, Cape CharlesWorth stopping in and grabbing some beers if you're driving through the peninsula. Decent place to chill if you're staying in the area. Would be good for a big group. We didn't really try the food, except onion rings (which were crispy), but the beer was on point. Like any good brewery, there were solid staples and some seasonal experiments. The Puddle Pirate Porter was a favorite for us.

The Cafè at The Northampton Hotel
1 Mason Ave Suite B, Cape CharlesThis place is amazing! The best Apple Fritters I’ve ever had coupled with a delicious breakfast croissant with a thick slice of ham. The restaurant is quaint, cozy, and a very friendly staff that went out of their way to make certain every need was met. Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

The Shanty
33 T-1108, Cape CharlesWe were passing through town and we stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is right on the waterfront and we were able to sit outside with our dog.\n\nThe food was very good. We had the calamari and then a fish and chips. We also tried the local oysters, which were very good.\n\nOur waitress was very helpful and attentive. She also talked to us about things to do in the area, which was very nice. \n\nWe would come back here next time we’re in town for lunch.
